That’s a very unique POV Lisa I now wonder if he knew just how huge an impact he had on so many of us I’m a fan of 28 yrs and now almost 50 myself he always brings me back to my carefree and hard time 20’s but God how I loved his creative songwriting and kickass vocals and associate both with some great and sad times in my life I just hope he’s at peace and kicking it with Layne and Andrew

He truely had the whole package the looks, creativity, talent, and adoring father! I have not quit crying since his passing and recall how much of an influence he and Soundgarden had in my life in the 90's we had so many amazing bands back then but, no matter what when it came to Grunge Soundgarden was and still is my favorite! Yes, he was a beautiful man: beautiful face, gorgeous eyes, great body and he was tall! But the difference between him and any other good looking "singer" of some boys band, for example, is that during interviews, he actually talked about music, about songwriting, etc...while all these other boys-band-guys, *all* they talk about is whether or not they're dating someone, what kind of girls they like, etc... When I think about him, sure, I know that he was handsome but that's not how I remember him. When I think about him, I hear his voice, I hear his words and I try to understand what he meant with these words...I hear the music, I think about the chord progression of some of the songs he wrote and very often, I think "man, these chords, these chord progression is so simple, even I have come up with similar chord progressions...but the big difference is the vocal melodies that he put on these chords! How?! Where did you get this idea from? This is genius!!!". Yeah, this- this is how I remember him. Chris Cornell, great voice, great singer but also a very talented song writer!!! I hope that the Gods and the Angels listened to him and, like a "Pagan", let him inside Heaven!

Honey, because Chris Cornell is a TRUE ARTIST w/ true talent, hauntingly Beautiful poetry, lived through a lot of inner pain, has depth, soul, humility, & is an amazing man. Plus he sings like an angel. Boy band "preformers" are no where in the SAME STAUS OR LEAUGE as the late Mr. Cornell.
Also, your using the line "like a pagan" in the wrong context. He says "On my deathbed, I will pray to the gods & the angels, like a pagan...to anyone...who will take me too heaven". Chris was very spiritual & always seeking higher truth. Pagans don't have a specific "God", so Chris is saying whatever that may be to get me into heaven I pray. Pagans do not believe in a heaven, so saying like a Pagan let him into heaven is irony. Keep on rockin' listening to my Savior's work. If you never listened to Temple of the Dog album from start to feel finish and Badmotorfinger I suggest you do.

So everything I heard his songs with his beautiful voice, I would listen to the words and it would bring me to tears and still does. I wish Chris would have had the chance to get better like my fiancee did! My fiancee is now 5 and a half years clean! I never tire of hearing all his songs! They mean so much to him and I both!! Chris took music arrangement to a whole new level, his writing style unique , depth of emotion- symbolism- both pain and joy. The timing like none other. He was a guitarists dream. Blessed with 4 octave vocals. I once heard him in an interview say that each time he played a song he remembered exactly when he wrote it and where, and why. And that he also tried to give it a different twist with each performance. He was happy to hear how fans told him what his songs meant to them and how they got them through hard times. He truly enjoyed it. What a soul.

I can listen to CC all night all day, then that one song comes on, I'm in tears again reminding he's gone. An amazing artist, his song writing skills one of the best if his time. His music has always soothed my mind no matter what state I find myself in. I really wish he could have found this peace while he lived. CC left us such an amazing library of his work. ...so many feelings and emotions, it's hard to describe them with words. Chris Cornell meant the world to me. Seeing him perform live was like watching the sun blazing with all of its glory. A sight to behold. I remember leaving Soundgarden and Audioslave concerts feeling invincible knowing that we had Chris Cornell here with us to back us up through whatever troubles we may face in the roads ahead. As much as it hurts knowing that he is gone we must carry on his spirit and message through his songs and our own. He may no longer be here with us but he has not left us. If anything he only left us stronger. It is up to us to fight the good fight. His spirit will always be with us to help us light our way. Thank you Chris...
