The world of football boots is both exciting and confusing! Big brands do everything they can to get us excited about their latest products, and we as consumers tend to get sucked into what some might call false hope. Don't worry though, I'm here to help! Only because I've made all of these mistakes myself over the years, here are 10 football boot mistakes that you should never make! Consider all of this information, and I promise that you'll have a much better experience with your boots. How many of these are you guilty of?

Im still sad that nike discontinued the Hypervenom Phantom 3. They were TRULY the perfect fitting boot for my foot, and I had the best feel on the ball compared to any other boots ive worn, and I have yet to wear any other boot that seemingly disappears on my feet when I am wearing them.
You can still buy them brand new by sellers that aren’t necessarily Nike official
I’ve got fairly wide feet and I’ve found that Newbalance Furons V6 are absolutely perfect

A few years back I had a U15 player, who went on to play for his country's U15 team, and he wore cheap Kipsta boots from Decathlon
Update on player? And also some of my mates get the best boots (elites) and they blame it on the boots/cleats and it’s so funny

I always wear classic leather boots. copa mundial, puma king, nike premier... they never fail. I also have a pair of Nike Tiempo Legend IV with turf sole for when I play in synthetic with my friends.
I usually pick mine out based off of material/color. Don’t care about the crazy tech on them just the look. Look good, you play good.

Color is irrelevant as long as they are comfy and have good traction. As long as they arent bright pink idgaf what color they are

I had a teammate that wore sg boots on ag. Everyone looked at him like he was crazy. After we told him he could get injured he said “ no I’ll be fine because it’s the mixed soleplate.” 🤦♂️

Problem 10 is something I can relate to since I've been wearing 8.5 in my leisure kicks.
I find better comfort in boots when I wear 9.5 and I've tried the Nemeziz, Predator, Rebula, and 11pro SL in this size and that 1 size up really gives the comfort I need while also wearing thick socks.
I been watching you since I was 14 and a freshman in high school. Now Im 23 and reminiscing about the good old days. Your videos have always been informative and non biased and you gave the people your true opinion

On my 3rd pair of AG boots. Absolutely worth it and you can get them for a reasonable price. Just have to shop around.

Um the Tiempos were excellent choice. Especially with the materials and models when he played em. Many other great players used them back then. Just like Mizuno.

This is why Mizuno is perfect for me. Their Morelia line is not commercialized for any specifc position, they fit my feet so well, and yet I bought the future z' 1.1 way too big for me lol dumbass me

After 5 ankle sprains I started buying Superflys to see if the collar would offer the little bit of extra support I needed. Although they’re definitely not a replacement for tape or braces, I’ve gone through 2 pairs with no injuries. Still wear Superfly 6 every game now

Yeah 100% not the boot. The collar is like same "support" as a sock lol. You've probably just gotten stronger and probably just train better.
I have to say if my boots dont 'feel' right even though they fit it will affect my performance. Boots must be as close to an extension of my foot as possible. When I get a boot that can achieve this I'm twice the player (given my playstyle), it's that noticeable. For me at least they make a huge difference which is why I'm so picky about finding the right pair and in the past it's always been mercurial.

Speed boots have made me feel lot faster and I'm 39, made me get man of match in my last 2 games and even other player's have said i am fast lol 😉

the idea of speed boots is not to make you faster, they are just more lightweight than other boots so your feet are dragging less weight and you can move a bit faster and not be that exhausted after a sprint. heck, ive played in old air force ones on grass and still managed to get a hat-trick.
i bought my boots and they were a bit too small, since it was nike i figured they would adjust, and they did. now they are the most comfortable pair of football boots i've ever owned.

Best boots were my adidas f50 they hold on my foot so tight and so comfortable at the same time I used to play for hours but after that any other shoe causes me pain

Hey do you have a video that compare stud pattern & design to playing style. Not position but playing style. I played with a pair of latest Predator hard ground stud and found the very aggressive studs, located very close to the edge of the outsole kept catching grass as I made long passes. It's the first time I wear this stud pattern in a game. And returning from a knee injury so I'm definitely not in the greatest shape. But playing with bladed stud, I've never have any such problem. Then I studied my Phantom Venom, although he studs are not blades but they are more set in away from the edge of the outsole. I'm going to test it tomorrow to see if this allow for a smoother follow through. But of course it could just be me.
I wear the Nike phantom venoms and i play rb/cdm and they’re pretty good I just get blisters sometimes which isn’t very good
I just got back into playing and bought a pair of adidas predator freak .4s they’re cheap as i didn’t want to spend a lot but I actually really like them a lot
Good video but I actually think the premium models of midcut boots provide a bit anklesupport. Not like a basketball shoe but just enough to get the right support while keeping mobility and springback in the step. Tried lowcut of the same models and the midcut were always a bit more springy. The lowcut always felt a bit worse in play.
I have ordered my first pair of Top model shoes they are nike visions and they were half price so hopefully they are comfortable
AG stud pattern on AG grass (or any conical stud pattern), cant stress this enough. as a 20 year old you probably never notice a difference but trust me as you get older your ligaments and joints will thank you for it.

Morelia Neos or maybe the leather version of the Puma Utra. I wouldn't say that either of them are a lot like the Mercs though.
@@Soccerreviewsforyou I was thinking of the Neos, but love the "full leather uppers". Would stick with Nike, Mizuno, or Puma. I love the Legends from the studs to the upper, but I find them a bit wide when they get broken in midway in the season. Love the fit of the tech craft vapors but not a fan of the chevron style studs
I find using cm for sizing is the optimal solution for me so far (I have wide feet)

Hey I Got a Big problem, so the only shoe that fits me perfectly is the Phantom GT and those cut my heels if I dont tape em everytime. Do you know Any modern boot that has the same length as the GT‘s because I know their sizing is off but unfortunatly thats the only size that fits me.

The boots are good for mentality
A mistake I made is that I went to a shop wearing normal socks and the boots fit perfectly. When I tried them on with football socks the were a bit tight.

speedflows are meant to fit right so I would say you are good sticking to them unless you encounter any other issue

They're a little wider through the forefoot and toe area, but the general shape isn't that different from the Legend 8.

The thing is,now im 12,and last year at 11 i wore size 35 shoes i think it's like 6.5 us, and noe i have size 45 shoes which is size 11 us,so last year i made a big big mistake because i bought mercs pro for €130 and my feet went out in like 4 months and then i changed boots like every 2 months lmao
