I'm a console gamer so the psvr2 is perfect for me. It's as good if not better than any headset out there. The only draw back at the minute is the game library which is expanding weekly. There's fantastic games out now and many more on the way re4 remake and project wingman with ps5 exclusive missions to name but 2.
I agree with this kind of, I do wish that cameras were better in regard to how the meta 3 looks. Just that there are too few games for the PSVR2, but I do think that the games look stunning especially after you enable refresh and 120hz on it. Also, I love the fact that cinema mode on the headset can be used to play any game or apps. I still think Vive wins overall performance and usability. but the price is crazy. Meta is good for the price that it has and is cheaper than the PSVR2 but if you are playing chat games like VR chat, meta got limited in certain places because mostly adults have been buying them for their kids, and good luck getting into adult spaces with the meta.
Yeah but ps5 lacks mod support i currently own psvr2 and feel I'm missing out on a lot from being able to use any weapon i want in blade and sourcey to being able to play red dead 2 black ops zombies cyberpunk etc.. all in vr can't do any of that on playstation
I've got dual G9 Odyssey monitors and I can't wait to get rid of them for a VR display, or at least reduce it to a single G9 and use the VR for desktop productivity
@@getstuk87 sounds like the most unnecessary shit, those monitors are way too tiny you are literally using a wide 27 inch monitor, you can get a 48 inch or 55 inch LG C2 oled 16 x 9 is way better than Ultra Wide just get a bigger display
the bulk of vr players are gonna use quest 2 or 3 when it comes out, more serious vr players gonna use quest pro or vive, the real serious vr players gonna use index, the dedicated vr players will use bigscreen beyond headset.....the rich ones are gonna use apple or vario.
the quest 3 is really going to shake things up. no competition. the only reason i stay away from the psvr2 is it needs to be tethered to the PlayStation in 2023... Meta is doing everything right.
Especially for AR. I think Quest 3 will attract the most AR developers because it will have the largest user base due to affordability and high bang for the buck. Apple's storm trooper goggles will probably have a tiny user base of "influencers" and rich youtubers, and I suspect Apple will get a lot of returns from people who get buyer's remorse after realizing how little software is available for the Vision Pro.

Quest 2 has been out almost 3 years now, and with the performance boost with v55 update, the Quest 2 is still top dog, and the best bang for your buck, and most important it's wireless and plays PC games wirelessly as well. Looking to get a Quest3 and giving my wife my Q2

While I care about clarity and graphics in a headset those two attributes will always take a backseat to being wireless. It's a must for me in regards to the games I personally play.

Have u had any issues with the headset? I’ve been reading/watching about all the different headsets and that one is always at the top of the list, BUT I see a ton of complaints about software and tracking issues. People saying it’s not even playable. On amazon, the full set up only has a 3.6 out of a 5. The set up with the wireless adapter is only 2.7 out of 5 stars.. is it a safe buy and worth it?
@@micah.80665 on sale during Christmas when the set was 400$ off I think the price is worth it, with the wireless adapter I’ve never had an issue with tracking or anything like that. If I could do it over again I would get the headset by itself and pair it up with the valve index controllers. I really like my quest 3, but you need to spend at least 100$ in accessories to make it comfortable to wear. It doesn’t pair with my Katwalk C2+ which is a bummer. I wouldn’t pay full price for the vive pro 2 but on sale I think it’s a great headset.

Quest 2 for me until Big Screen's new Beyond releases. All I care about is if they get glare under control and either they, or some 3rd party, makes prescription glasses lens inserts like Reloptix made for my Quest 2. I will NEVER wear glasses while using VR again. Once you've experienced that, there's no going back.
I like quest 2. I put it on and go out on the terrace to play, I can move freely, no cables. There is no question that the next purchase is quest 3. The rest can go into the soup

The Valve Index VR is still number one. Even though it doesnt have eye tracking and a few other little features that some newer VR headsets have, the Valve Index is still Top Dog. Overall performance is just better. When the Valve Index's newest version, The Valve Deckard, comes out, I believe it will reign over all its competitors..
Liked the index a lot, G2 was even sharper, Quest 2 was great ease of use.. Now on a Quest Pro, no regrets. I've even used PSVR2 from a friend, but once you try Pancake lenses (especially the ones on the Quest Pro) you can't go back to fresnal. PCVR with upscaling is edge to edge clarity, sweet spot is *massive* and thats an understatement, and when upscaled is easily the sharpest PCVR experience I have had. Whether it be War thunder VR, DCS, VRChat, or Ghost's of Tabor. I seriously got myself questioning reality sometimes and sinking completely in, especially in the flight sims. Only thing nearly as sharp is the G2 and its limited by a *tinnnyy* sweet spot and bad controllers and again.. fresnal lenses. Not to mention eye tracking allows dynamic foveated rendering which just means the quality goes up even more and sharper with no performance cost. overall Visual quality isn't even a question, Quest pro is the best at $1k or below as of right now, may we see what the deckard and quest 3 brings. Can’t understand why people are picking quest 2 as the best but I can understand why they are blinded into the fact they’ve already bought it so trying to defend there purchase but I get it for the wireless aspect and it’s cheap but other than that the basic headset mobile graphics don’t come close to a proper pcvr setup and even when it’s connected to a pc the fov is like looking through a pot hole and there’s conoression issues . Get a Varjo Aero to use with your 4090 for $1K plus Index base stations and controllers, so figure $1600 or so. Aero is currently the best - for sims and realism. Some folks are saying the Pimax Crystal is better, but most prefer the Aero. Somnium VR1 will blow away both of them when it is finally released, but expect to pay around $3K.

I've only tried the Quest 2 and I had lots of issues with it. Had to pay $60 in accessories alone just to make it comfortable and easier to use. The headset constantly crashes or freezes on games including VRChat, Roblox, and Beat Saber. Recently it stopped connecting to my PC and i've tried researching and fixing the problem yet nothing worked so I gave up with it. Going to try the Valve Index since I always play through SteamVR and i'm getting a gaming headset for PC gaming, not work like the Meta Quest Pro.

@@RJ-vy9ch No, Quest 3 is standalone but can also be paired with a PC to run PCVR -- either wirelessly or tethered. PCVR on Quest 3 will be subpar compared to HP Reverb G2 or higher headsets though, due to compression required for the low bandwidth Quest 3 connections.
i can tell this is not a up to date because they recomended the quest pro. instead fet the quest 3 as it is waaaaay better than the pro. the main loss with not getting the 3 is the controllers. they pro touch controllers come with the pro and track themselves. otherwise the quest 3 is better
meta's requiring a FB account to use is BS SOny is too expensive for a console only vr system I'd stick with the HP. Just my opinion I'm sure there's something for everyone on this list. Happy hunting.
PSVR2 is next level. Period. Once they get the mura and a bigger sweet spot, it’s game on. I’ll never take it off. I am stunned at how good the PSVR2 is. Comfort, clarity, ease of use and those controllers? Like butter.
This is DEFFO your first VR headset. You’re locked into the super small psvr2 library, literally ANY other headset is a better experience by 1000 fold.

Sorry but this info isn't entirely accurate, at least on the Pico4. Through Virtual desktop I can play any PCVR game I want, plus the standalone games, and with amazing resolution, and wirelessly, no sat. towers or cables needed. Best bang for the buck IMO. I love mine.
I have all 3. The quest pro is the one to go with. 3d (Ar)Porn, gaming, office tech. Psvr 2- no open web browser(There are ways to go on the web but by tricking the system) , -no office tech, but has gaming. The pro wins overall as the quality of the games are not really that much of a difference just slight once you actually put the head set on and see it through your own eyes. The pros resolution can be upgraded any time by updates in the future. Don't miss out on the furture because of a better visual leaf on a tree with the psvr2. Get (FULLY)HANDS ON with the quest pro.

That's the individual games being set lower by the devolpers. Secondly you need to properly set up eye tracking / calibration for the best image.

You can get prescription inserts for under $100. You can also wear glasses under the headsets, but it isn't very comfortable.

I've only tried the Quest 2 and I had lots of issues with it. Had to pay $60 in accessories alone just to make it comfortable and easier to use. The headset constantly crashes or freezes on games including VRChat, Roblox, and Beat Saber. Recently it stopped connecting to my PC and i've tried researching and fixing the problem yet nothing worked so I gave up with it. Going to try the Valve Index since I always play through SteamVR and i'm getting a gaming headset for PC gaming, not work like the Meta Quest Pro.
I am getting the PSVR2 tomorrow, I hope I have a great experience with it!
I own about 6 vr systems and do not agree with the number 1 at all. To me the Valve Index is still the best visually etc...

I’ve tried a lot of VR headset but the meta quest was like stepping into another dimension you could do way more than just play games , I went into a forest and saw animals and it looked so real .

@@RJ-vy9ch No, Quest 3 is standalone but can also be paired with a PC to run PCVR -- either wirelessly or tethered. PCVR on Quest 3 will be subpar compared to HP Reverb G2 or higher headsets though, due to compression required for the low bandwidth Quest 3 connections.

PSVR2 is next level. Period. Once they get the mura and a bigger sweet spot, it’s game on. I’ll never take it off. I am stunned at how good the PSVR2 is. Comfort, clarity, ease of use and those controllers? Like butter.
This is DEFFO your first VR headset. You’re locked into the super small psvr2 library, literally ANY other headset is a better experience by 1000 fold.
The PS VR two needs a PS five to work and i own a PS VR2 and a new oculus quest two and I can probably say that the PS VR two game library is trash

Sorry but this info isn't entirely accurate, at least on the Pico4. Through Virtual desktop I can play any PCVR game I want, plus the standalone games, and with amazing resolution, and wirelessly, no sat. towers or cables needed. Best bang for the buck IMO. I love mine.

I have all 3. The quest pro is the one to go with. 3d (Ar)Porn, gaming, office tech. Psvr 2- no open web browser(There are ways to go on the web but by tricking the system) , -no office tech, but has gaming. The pro wins overall as the quality of the games are not really that much of a difference just slight once you actually put the head set on and see it through your own eyes.
