Thank you for a deep dive. Its hard to find answers on why this iPhone is called “Pro”, you made it very simple to understand. I guess one tip would be to get more than 128GB storage.

I upgraded to the 15 pro 128GB and it can be frustrating bringing a flash drive to record pro res. I've been increasingly using the black magic app to record H.265 in log which I'm finding gives me everything I need!

I really think its important when buying a newer/est pro models get more than 128gb. I upgraded from 11 to 15 pro so its my first pro model and you dont need more than 128gb on older to normal/mini 13.But the photo and video sizes are GIANT!! i was so surprised for a 20 sec hdr video to be more than 1gb. I orders the black iphone 15 pro 256gb but they said a grey was was available so i just picked up that one.
I personally got 128 because I pay for iCloud 2TB storage for safety reasons (in case my phone gets robbed or breaks) so for 10 dollars a month it isn’t a terrible deal especially if you share it with family,

@ Guess what... I literally just got the same phone (15Pro 128GB) because of your review. I was debating between the Pro and Pro Max. The Pro Max was just too big and iOS isn't really making good use of the larger screen.

Great video! Would you say the 15 Pro has better battery life than the 13 mini? I currently use the 13 mini and am unsure whether or not to upgrade to the 15 Pro.
Much better battery life, I came from a 13 mini and I would have to charge it throughout the day, With the 15 Pro I’m getting about 8 hours of screen on time which is enough to last me the whole day without charging,

If it were a different black I’d buy black, the ultra has a beautiful matte black color but for iPhone I went with titanium and it’s a beautiful color

I currently have an access to an iPhone 11, if you don’t need all the camera features it’s still a great phone today, it’s not too slow. Look at a used 12 Pro Max if you want to upgrade camera while keeping budget.

16 may not be a strong series for iPhone based on rumours, I would grab the 15 Pro if I were you and if you don’t need all the new camera features consider 14 Pro or Pro Max to save some money.

Had a friend bring his iPhone 15 Pro Max onto a shoot of mine. It over heated, then after we gave it 15 minutes it glitched out and we lost footage. In both cases we were using the SSD. In case 1 it was the Blackmagic app. In case 2 it was the native app.
Not a reliable phone by any means, but it can sure capture a great image.
That's interesting. I have not faced any overheating issues that was even worth mentioning for the video. I'll focus on shooting longer clips to test for myself.
I don’t wonder why you didn’t get a pro max, I do wonder though how a video creator can go with the 128gb version. Like pro raw pictures are like 80mb. It’s a shame apple even produces a pro phone that still comes with 128gb especially when you think about the price

what about an overheating on iPhone 15 Pro
Have not experienced it enough to mention in the video, will test recording longer clips and update on another video.

I really don’t experience overheating in normal use cases. If you do film really long clips with prores you may encounter some overheating but hey that’s a problem camera companies are facing. There was an issue with instagram causing heating when the 15 was released but that was more of an instagram issue which they’ve fixed with an app update. So yeah, I really don’t think you’ll have issues with overheating.
But honestly, does the average consumer really have all the time in the world to edit videos and photos?
