@@RWL2012 Simple, dude. The intention is to mimic the style of the 16-bit era games. You might be thinking it would be an actual Genesis games, but no, it's not the case, because Noah isn't exactly a mega dev who can make real Genesis games. Music is accurate on real hardware though, that I can guarantee you.
Lemme tell you a secret: that wasn't combined at all, it's all a crazy coincidence. Sometimes things just fit naturally in videogames. Glad that this track is an example of it.
Noah himself asked me to compose a song for the game, back in January 2020, before the pandemic. I chose this one, so I could throw Sonic CD references to it. He called me out for overdoing it XD
reposting my comment from earlier with a changed mindset cause this is really damn good! every single sound choice works absolutely perfectly and i think you worked masterfully with the 2612. keep it up!
3 years later and this masterpeice is still my most favorite. It takes me way back to Tidal Tempest, Hydrocity, and Aquatic Mine in such a loving way. I really thank you and Noah for this beautiful gem.
This is one of my favorite songs off of my favorite Game Gear soundtrack. I feel so alone in my love for these GG sonic soundtracks, it's a feeling that deepens as time passes and these games fade more into the past. When I played these games in the 90s, I didn't know anyone else who had them. Honestly, I've never met anyone else who had a Game Gear, ever! This a big reason why I think what you've done here is great. I'm also a musician/music producer and can really appreciate the way you arranged and engineered this. Just as a general music and Sonic fan, this concept is great. But as someone who really cares (perhaps a bit too much) about these old chiptunes, hearing this awesome version you've made, seeing that it was posted relatively recently, and knowing that there's someone out there who has a similar passion for these songs, is musically minded, and expressing it in such a fun way, really warms my heart. Thank you.
Glad you got around to uploading this, Tidal Plant was one of my favorite stages and favorite stage themes from the original STT. Sounds nice and chill, almost like something from one of Lake Feperd’s fangames.
0:55 - 2:10 This part gives me huge Streets of Rage vibes, and I love every second if it. Easily one of my favorite songs in Triple Trouble 16-Bit's soundtrack (right under each version of Robotnik Winter Zone).
The game is out, and this is still one of my favorite songs.
Thank you for being a part of my game!
The pleasure is all mine, mate. Sorry to leave you hanging last year...
it seems to be out as a 32/64-bit PC game, but not yet as an actual 16-bit Mega Drive / Genesis game, despite claiming to be 16-bit.

@@rigid_atoms nice
0:55 always hits around the part when you get to the pipe. This relaxed portion and the detour into the ocean makes it so awesome.

I didn't realize how cool 8-bit songs could be when translating to 16-bit, absolute love this song.
All of the 8-bit soundtracks deserve Genesis covers.
even sonic labyrith
that game has some really good music for the game gear
Nice, sounds like it would fit in Sonic CD.
That was my intention, but I had to remove some references by Noah's request.
The drum samples are from Palmtree Panic's past theme
Also sounds more “exotic & dreamy” then the original...
0:55
This also reminds me of Aquatic Ambiance...
@@not4nikiii Tidal Tempest
God, I knew I've heard this before, always loved this arrange, it was a nice surprise to hear it on the 16-bit remake

0:55 and onwards is amazing in particular.
I did like the palmtree panic drum break at 2:12. It sounds nice!
I’m obsessed with this. It’s really really good
Beautiful
Wow! It sounds so voluminous for music created on FM synthesis!
0:54 This is where it gets REALLY GOOD
I first heard the Act 2 part in the Twitter video featuring the Sea Fox.
Both Act 1 and Act 2 are in this song. Great job.
Thx ^.^
Btw, this is for the Act 2, in fact.
It's two years later
This is still my favourite song
Its Absolutely insane How good this music is
This was my favorite song from the original and my god did you do this justice.
Glad you think so 😁
It really sounds like you're in a Temple Aquarium by the sound of it. Also the Sonic CD references, i love it!

This sounds like a character theme or some sort of mysterious place and I like it.
Whooaaa you actually made this track sound good,
above that, it's downright phenomenal
1:34 HAS NO REASON TO GO THIS HARD, THIS SOUNDS SO GOOD!!!
very neat, love how it loops
I can't stop listening to this track! I'm obsessed with how good it is.
This wouldn't sound too out of place in Streets of Rage
That Palmtree Panic Past Percussion line eventually transitioning into a Tidal Tempest-like rhythm is just HEAVENLY
Not gonna lie, translating 8-bit music to 16-bit is like a gift from the angels… of music! :D

This music is used for Tidal Plant act 2

This is an incredible remix, holy hell
This is incredibly relaxing, thank you for sharing this.
Acho bom q isso foi a música do ato 2 da tidal plant no sonic triple trouble 16-bits, pq isso é de respeito, meus parabéns meu nobre
the scary thing about this Platform is that
gems like this may go undiscovered
0:25
What's this? Just a time stamp of my favorite part of the song.
what a beautiful vibe bro, great job.
THANK YOU for putting this on the Genesis. You are a SAINT
3:23 second part literally gave me Streets of Rage vibes 😍😍
How in the hell did you simulate LFO on the PSG channels like that, holy CRAP
Detuning is part of the trick. 😅
This gives me an "Exotic" feel just like Labyrinth Zone...
It has that Labyrinth and Tidal Tempest feel to it. Especially with that 9th chord piano synth.
This is....this is litterly amazing
this is just... amazing
it also is my new alarm clock tx
At some points this song rivels DKC's aquatic ambience in terms of tranquility, such a vibe
You have my subscription, good sir.
cool
This is fantastic!
3 years and still banger!
also there is MP3 or FLAC download?
amazing man
This is Tidal Plant Zone, Act 2!!!
Correct!
@@rigid_atoms I mean it's a bit late but it's cool.
This is a banger.
WELL DONE!!!
just finished the game, this track stood out to me the most, love the CD vibe
Glad to hear that, was seeing some people doing gameplays and praising highly this track too. Thank you! ^^
The greatest remix of Tidal Plant Zone of all time.
This cover sounds awesome!😄🤩😎👌
Streets of Rage vibes
still listening to this
best track in the game imo
I think Dv2's Atomic Destroyer Act 2 is better, but I'm glad some people enjoy this a lot. 😁
You did so fucking good on the ost
This might be weird but this feels like a song that would be in Ghostbusters for the Genesis.
oh fuck yea this slaps
Cool Remix
I like it.
Sounds so wonderful!
Is there a vgm download link available?
Pretty sure I shared it in one of the previous comments.
@@rigid_atoms Oh yeah I just found it haha thanks!

WE TAILS ADVENTURE NOW
Game Of The Year
Also after listening to the original I know why you leaned toward using that drum
The original screams CD all over it, but it couldn't get past the GG chip limitations, so I had to do it XD
@@rigid_atoms the CD duo really didn't have much to do with this soundtrack at all which makes it all the weirder how well it works
👀❤️
So you're using this fo' da remake's act 2, eh?!
Positive.
can we get the .VGM file?
Almost forgot, sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Was that first part a reference to the bad ending theme on streets of Rage 3?
Funny, Streets of Rage never came into mind when composing this, aside from the bass in the second part.
I don't think You get enough attention for this
Palmtree Panic Past(?)
Yes.
@@rigid_atoms Because Metal Sonic.
I didn't even know of the twist until after it released lol
I went to search up fnf triple trouble remixes and saw this. I found it kinda funny to see.
LOL
I'm guessing the first two on the bottom row are PSG
The three on the bottom row, yes.
RigidatoMS Oh, I thought the bottom right was the drums
Also is this actually going to be in Sonic Triple Trouble 16 Bit? *p l e a s e s a y y e s*
@@sanicmaniac mid right is the drums
And YES, this will be in the fangame, the creator himself invited me for this one track.

The beginning hurts my ears
