The comedic timing, the points made and instructions were clearly stated. 10/10 You are somethin' awesome dood. I really enjoyed the format of this video. For other videos formatted this way, I'll always be sure to watch it. And... I too am an idiot for thinking the allied units must be on the panels to take advantage of the EXP geo effects 🥲.
Hey nice video, the idea to get the exp stat innocents early is great in terms of getting faster levelling for a more neutral playthrough. The way i tend to play is get money to buy the most expensive item i can from the shop using the tutorial map (takes a bit but normally the around 2000hl items)then using the item world, find invincibility floors, build bonus to get tons of early cash boosting and items. keep the highest rank item and sell the rest to see if i can then buy my way up the shop ranks. repeat going through those to get up to rank 39 items super early. with that you can then between unlocking the cave of ordeals, build up levels on a thief in item worlds whilst levelling said gear at the same time. get rank 40 gear and with that in hand max out some gear to have a baal killing unit before even vyers castle stage 1. I don't have the complete edition but the steam version which i have yet to complete the first stage in the first chapter, but have slain prinny baal at max enemy bills xD totally not worth it really as by just progressing you unlock higher level stuff much quicker and easier, but having the item world open so early doesn't happen in any other game in the series so i can't help but exploit it!
@@zeomatrix3 Disgaea is the series meant to be broken and exploited so hell yeah! That's why I love the series so much. The devs want you to break the games XD
i personally would not recommend to do it this way i think its a lot easier to just use ether laharl or etna with a by using bow just because it have a good ranger and learn heal it will heal you a enough because you should be over leveled and use thiefs to make it easier to move around with lift and throw also i am not saying your idea is bad i just feel it's better to grind later then now and the maximum statistician is 300 in one innocent slot but 600 is the maximum the character do , although i believe they change it to 900 in one innocent slot and in one character
@@ausername8770 pretty rough? But I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Since it was their first time shifting into 3D I gotta admit...not the best start with how much had to be cut out of the system we are used to. From what I've seen of Disgaea 7, it looks like they are reimplementing some of the old mechanics we are used to thankfully
Build martial artist and equip boots so they can thorw each other and move to the item world exits. And have them as martial artist so they can use the early tripple punch to move the gate guard away If you already have enough level, hell and mana you could upgrade the store for next tier stealing hands for a better level of statiscians (better pick 10's than 7's) Also, don't mind having to use the master-pupil tech learning feature. It only is useful for fixed characters like Laharl. All your regular crew can just reincarnate later into a top tier mage and learn it all.
So I literally just started playing Disgaea like, 3 days ago... I have it on PC because of a Sale and I have always been interested in the game (I really like Final Fantasy Tactics, similar battle style), however, there aren't any really decent tutorials for literally beginner players that go over anything. This video was extremely informative and easy to follow. Thank You!
This is the issue I've been having, this video is for an ACTUAL beginner! It's like other creators don't know how the new players are experiencing it...
@@kevinjohnson2999 you are free to. 300 is a good checkpoint to stop at as later in the game you can nab higher rank Statisticians that will usually net you 50 to 100 in a single go.
@@kevinjohnson2999 I mean I recommend you go to the story till like chapter 5 where you unlock the first really good grind spot it's a map with full invincible geo panel coverage except 1 square which allows u to combine all the monsters there and safely fight tht one monster for big level ups also it's a good map for weapon msteryi as well
I mean the original had infinite hyper drives and the psp/pc/ds port had a glitch where an item in the shop could come with 10k statisticians and stuff like that already subdued too xD
You are a life saver. I grabbed disgaea yesterday, and I love the style of it, but god its so unclear about how to get a good start. Thank you for the video, this is so helpful!!
another small trick for more advanced plays (cause itll kill you at the start) if you fuse a subdued inoccent and an unsubbdued innocent the fusion will be unsubdued, and thus you can repeat the subduing that will double its lv again also, I dont remember but, which map has the first easy lv99 set ups? for those who dont know, in Disgaea, enemies give an amount of experience dependant on its lv on an exponential factor until lv 100, basically killing 1 lv10 enemy is better than killing 2 lv 5 enemies, there are also class multipliers, for example killing a lv 20 dragon will give more exp than a level 20 mage, on the other hand, mages give more mana peer kill, so with that out of the way, as mentioned, when enemies hit lv 100 the exp formula changes to an additive one, so killing 1 lv 300 enemy will give the same exp as 3 lv 100, but here is the kicker, because of the change in formula, lv 99 enemies have an insane exp value, a single lv 99 enemie gives the same amount of experience as an enemie around lv 300, this is actually a bug in the programming when changing the formulas, but the NIS team loved it so much it became a staple feature in all subsequent Disgaea games, not only that, they create maps specifically so that you can get groups of enemies with no equipment on exp panels at lv 99, thus my question, cause I dont remember
pretty sure its 5-3 plus a few stronger enemy bills. You can then throw the enemies on top of eachother to level them up to level 99. the whole map except for 1 tile is invincibility tiles so its easy to do
@@TheInterNep the frozen maps, yup, but I was asking more in case the Complete had set other maps to pass a few stronger enemy bills to have all enemies lv 99 tough I think in this frozen map its actually really precise how to make a lv 99 enemy, since you want the Nekomata to be the one, Succubus are a pain since they heal back, and regarding the lv 99 in this map, I think you must pass at least 1 stronger enemy bills, since the otherwise they get only up to 84-92 once all are fused
This video feels rather well-put together. Good editing, decent length, and nice commentary. I was able to follow along just fine despite not playing this. Thankfully, my experience with 4 and 5 made a lot of stuff here feel familiar. Helps that those are more advanced versions of 1. Speaking of which, that’s what kept me from 1 for so long but seeing how the story is as well as the things shown in this video does make me wanna pick it up eventually. I’m not much of an rpg gal anymore but Disgaea mechanics are familiar enough for me not to feel overwhelmed like I usually do when picking up a brand new rpg. Also etna has one of my favorite designs ever. Simple and has Very great colour palette. Also also lol at the “ten floors” part. My D5 brain was like “eh, baby stuff!”. I can imagine how amusing non-D fans’ reaction would be. Lastly, ow wow, this is your first doin this Kinda stuff? Well I think you did pretty fine. I actually do dig these kinds of videos a lot so they’re a welcome addition to the channel imo. They can be a really nice change of pace.
I quite enjoyed it. The instructions were clear although I may have to hear some stuff again, but that could just be me at 4 am. I liked the jokes and your commentary without spoilers especially since this video is directed towards new players.
this was really good, just started replaying disgaea pc and was looking for something to make things easier for myself, this was exactly what i needed. thanks a lot matey, looking forward to more good stuff from you. the script was nice and funny too, had a great time overall
Just a thing I noticed, I know you didn't mention it but...with hospital items, if you get it to be a rare quality, it has like...a 25% boost, which helps a lot as equipping 2 rare items gives a same rarity bonus effect.
And as a follow up to that, if you remove and requip the items for HP and SP you can heal again to inflate the reward counter early to get the tier 3 or 4 reward for very early decent HP and SP on a character. Especially synergises well with this method to allow laharl to be better prepared in that first item world trip when he is still low level and at risk.
a note you missed.. when you go to the dr and claim a prize, make sure the item you want is at least a legendary, if not just back out and talk to the healer again until you get the item rarity you want
You kinda don't need too dunno if he mentions it but killing more of those monsters reduces their mama cost and being a pupil of someone (created by using mana they will have a higher chance of initiating combo)
I had to watch this a couple of times to make sure I understand how to pull it off but now I think I get the gist of it. I was worrying weather or not I'd be able to beat disgaea but now with this guide and the Statistician multiplier I'll be able to get Laharl and maybe some other characters at a very high level of course when I feel like making some time to do it. Thanks man ! Much appreciated ;)
Get statistician, but also build a gladiator sword for Laharl. Build Laharl into an OP god capable of dealing damage to a level 112 enemy at level 28 or 29. Then, make it to Jotunheim and use him to get to the 3rd stage. After that, give him statistician, equip sword, stack all succubus into a nekomata, and then use the invincibility of the stage to kill the level 112 nekomata a few times. Boom, broken. Also, you can heal the nekomata with Flonne or a healer to rapidly increase their levels too. I believe that if you carefully make use of the pupil system, you should also be able to allow characters like Etna to use healing and level that way too. As far as I know, this is the best way to level in Disgaea 1. (And with those levels, you can capture strong enemies.)
With a level 50 Laharl, an Etna that can do damage to a level 112 enemy, and a powerful sword for Laharl, you can actually capture a level 112 succubus and use that succubus to capture a level 112 nekomata.
Thanks I liked it and I'll be using it. I played this game many years ago and feel in love. Just now purchased 1 and 5 on the switch. 1 has the best music. The opening song brings back memories.
Yus~~~ Disgaea1~~ I haven't got the game, to try this out on, but it was good to learn for the future (since I _have_ to get jt) and just enjoyable, overall. Not to mention the characters are always great to look at. I'm sure I'll enjoy your other Disgaea LP and am wayyy looking forward to watching. Just gotta finish Disgaea 4, A Sardin- _I mean_ A Promise Unforgotten~ Also, ahhh, now I know where the outfit in the super-awesome thumbnail came from- (Nerte is so great) That character has such a nice look, I had only seen them in art but they look super cute (well, most Disgaea characters are pretty cute, but their design was a favorite. Lol. Patches and such are always a big "yussss")
It worked thanks! One question, so i've got statistician on my imperial seal now. When you said do this like 10 more times, did you mean keep leveling up that one innocent? Or get items for your whole team with statistician on all of them?
This is a pretty good guide for challenge runs! I actually want to do a single Prinny challenge of the game where my Prinny that will be named Vergil will obtain ultimate power and will go through the game multiple times at both higher difficulties and fighting the toughest bosses alone. This will definitely help in the long run!
You absolute Mad-Dood. I sincerely wish you luck on your challenge run(i'm currently trying a Monster Only Challenge run myself. Letting you know...having Items being my only viable early healing options was unpleasant XD)
@@Sobata92 I might as well give you the rules cause you might have a fun video to mess with for it. Rules: 1. I can only use a Prinny and that Prinny only for the run. He will do everything solo. I can't reincarnate him to a higher class of the species I have to use the base Prinny. However I can reincarnate him to increase stat growth 2. I can't use any other unit in any given battle. While I can use them for other purposes I can't use them the first time I go through each map. They will never be allowed to attack or heal. However if I have already completed a map I can use the master apprentice system to give my Prinny access to magic and other stat benefits from grinding so long as the map has been cleared before. This rule is also applied to subsequent play throughs. 3. The run is considered complete if my Prinny is able to defeat all the bosses on his own and beat every boss with the hardest enemy bills fully passed. Basically they all must be max level for me to consider the challenge beat. 4. The story must be beaten with the highest difficulty settings. 5. Etna mode is also part of the challenge. Therefore all bosses in her mode must be defeated as well as beating it on the hardest difficulty with max enemy level. Basically whatever rules are applied to the main campaign are applied to her's as well. 6. I can use my other units to possibly steal items off of my opponents but they can't die or else I will restart the battle from scratch.
I really enjoyed this video. One of the ironies is that I've been playing this game since it was out on the PS2 but I was using the game shark cheats so I never really had the full experience. Now that I bought it for the switch I was completely at a loss of what to do. I guess that's what you get for cheating huh? I would love to see you make more videos like this.
I only beat Disgaea 1 and loved it. playing Disgaea4 and Disgaea5 and while I enjoy D5 due to the improvements they made Im really not enjoying D4, I feel how different D4 is from the other two. Like using mana to buy skills instead of leveling up weapons I enjoy more and the way you get new units is much better in D1 and D5 imo. also the story is just *yawn* in D4. I feel they tried too many new things in D4 that felt off and make it feel like the black sheep. granted I haven't touched D2 or D3 but watching an LP of D2 and it feels a lot more similar to D1 so im gonna enjoy it. Have no idea about D3 tho
D4 has it's own charms in the story IMO but i understand the mechanics feel a lot more restrictive. There are some amazing cloning item methods in D4 though that make the end game grind a lot less of a hassle and is a lot of fun when you know about it. Sadly it's pretty much impossible to stumble upon the method just playing so a guide is needed which is a huge shame. D3 is similar to 4 but less refined so if you don't like 4 that much, 3 will be probably your least appealing option. D2 is very much D1 mechanics expanded and improved in a lot of ways but end game bosses are significantly more of a grind away. I don't know whose playthrough you were watching but HCbailly has a full run through of the game and it took him 400 hours to get a character to beat the final challenges of the game. Ultimately the series as a whole is all about the grind and the various methods to achieving the biggest numbers. If D1 on a fundamental level was a lot of fun, then really all of them will be with the right info about each game to help take the feeling of grind boredom
I thought this would be more game breaking, like when I was playing Disgaea 2 and the bonus gauge on the first chapter dropped a rank 16 evil wand. Still a great video, I had no idea you could capture monsters like that.
Another cool earlygame trick is to make many weak prinnies, kill them through the story not only to increare the revive counter in a cheap way, but to get the Kill Hoggmiser ending. Why is that? Because after said ending, you'll breeze through chapter 1 and 2 and you'll be able to capture Flonne's dragon. Everyone loves dragons, right?
Do you happen to know if Monster Capturing is a thing in the PC version? Didn't know about that, but I'm only a few chapters in. Maybe they teach it later. This is actually a good tip that will be helpful for me though. I was getting fed up with the grinding, but doing the statistician trick could make it more bearable.
Monster Capture is available in every version~ The game doesn't really go out of its way to teach you the ins and outs properly but i will let you know beforehand that you cannot capture Monsters that you don't have access too. So as an example, you got Spirits unlocked but not the second tier spirit. You can't capture second tier spirits unless you have them available to create.
14:50 Do it 20 more times? So I need to find more Stealing Hand with Statistician > Item World 10th floor > Move resident again? Or I can use the combine resident? How to increase it after the first double (7 to 14)? Sorry English not my first language. I'm still figuring out this game.
Yup. Buy another Stealing hand with another Statistician in it. Go to it's item world , make sure to kill the statistician in the item world, make it to the 10th floor and clear it. Then take that statistician and combine it with the other Statisticians you have subdued. Also your English is pretty good.
@@Sobata92 Thank you for the quick reply and compliment. What I actually mean with my "English" is actually sometimes my English comment can be interpreted differently because I can't properly convey my question/points. Thank you again.
Watching this without having ever played Disgaea leaves me so confused and questioning if this is even a good game or something you play out of spite to prove you're patient enough to sit through pure agony
Ok I’m glad I watched this since I finally understand the purpose of innocents. BUT, what was the point of creating the other units? Seems like you could do this with just Etna and Laharl...
Just to have more meat shields a d showing how monster capture saves mana since in Disgaea 1 the mana cost is kinda high. I realize I coulda just not included this but I thought it would make things slightly easier
Statisticians only go up to 450 on 1 item in Disgaea 1 Complete not 300 and you can have it on 2 items. So you can technically have a total of x9 xp worth of statistician in D1 Complete.
Unless they changed it with the complete version, restoring prinnies at the hospital doesn't increase the counters, that's why it only costs 1HL to do so.
@@Sobata92 Oh sweet! Also, I think I've already spent at least 3 hours in the Item World and my statistician is only at 36. Hopefully it will speed up from here!
@@urmanascrewed absolutely. It does take awhile however I will recommend that if it gets too much you can limit yourself to stopping at 100, and add on later. By then you will have a piece of gear that constantly gives 100% more exp and that in itself is already awesome. I'm sure some comments have mentioned that later or higher tier items will have higher value statisticians and that is true. This guide just exists to kinda show you can make the grind much easier and it's possible in chapter 1. Happy farming and good luck! Also as some have pointed out the max value is 900 meaning 900% exp boost.
the counter at the hospital isnt hidden its at the bottom... you cant look at what you'll get from it though unless you google the rewards but those numbers are off in disgaea 1 complete
12:35 But if you think that one's bad, there's also the friggen CLONE PANELS, I dunno if they're still a thing in Complete though, I've only played the NDS version of Disgaea 1
Didn't know about monster capturing, and I didn't know Stealing Hands tend to have exp innocents more often, take my like! Any items in particular in Disgaea 1 that carry Armsmaster more often?
you forgot to mention that when you throw enemies to your base tile to recruit them, that they can DESTROY it. i tried throwing a Hobbit to my base tile at Blessed Court. it destroyed the base tile.
The only question I have is when you got the 300 statistician did you get separate items that have statistician and went through them 10 times each and combined the residents together in order to get 300 instead of trying to get that number going through the same item 30 times ?
Hello its me again ! I played a couple of runs already and I want to ask. For example my 3rd run, I got till 10th floor and got the emergency exit item so when I do my 4th run, when I find the statistician and kill it, can I just use the exit item and stop at floor 1 instead of finishing all 10 floors? If I can, is it advisable to do it or should I just clear 10 floors. Sorry for asking a lot of questions and thanks in advance !
Nah it's just a really rough start for people. Disgaea 1 is still pretty rough for newcomers. You don't suck at all. I believe in your ability to do better
@@gabrielcubillas219 hmmm..that's a bit weird. Don't forget to make sure you have a statistician. The stealing hands to have a high chance of having them in their item. But sometimes they don't have the statistician appear on the early floors sadly.
@@gabrielcubillas219 sorry you gotta buy another hand that has a statistician. That's why I chose the stealing hand. It's cheap and the enemies will be much weaker

Lmk ty for the video
I want to ask after moving the statistician to the imperial seal. Do we go inside the item world again with another fresh stealing hand item or go into the world of the imperial seal item?
Now can I put that stat on any item or just the imperial seal? Also the Mr. Getsy exit can I use that after I killed the statistician or I have to make it to level 10
You can put the Statisticians in any item you want once you subdue them. Also yeah you can use the Me Gency Exit once you kill any statistician. You don't have to always clear 10 floors.
good video, though in actual gameplay you should use Flonne as your spell caster, since she's the best unit in that regard, literally only majins can compete against her.
Oh absolutely. Her healing power is amazing. Especially considering her starting skill is basically a 3 X 3 party heal. It's all up to player preference of course how they proceed with this guide
Just for clarification, do I keep finding Statisticians and cramming them into the seal, or do I find one, catch it, and then keep going in and defeating it over and over?
I have one doubt about the Statitician effect. Laharl has the Imperial Seal equipped and therefore, EVERYONE on the team gets the effect? Or do I have to give everyone an Imperial Seal?
@@Mauri.El.Creador you can relocate the Statisticians anywhere once you subdue them so it doesn't necessarily have to be the Imperial Seal. I just chose it because it's a great starting item that raises all stats.
Sorry, what I mean is after Ive relocated residents to Imperial Seal (or whichever for that matter) Can I simply subdue innocents in that item or do I always have to relocate? Sorry if Im asking too many questions 😑😑
@@Sobata92 Apparently you have to get one of the endies by completing all chapters, and not cheesing it by loosing to midboss on the first chapter to get her.
I guess this is okay if someone has never played disgaea before but why staticians instead of abusing the exp gained from killing allies? Do you consider that to be slower? Just make a level 30 prinny and go to town on it.
i never noticed i ever got exp from killing allies. how do you "just make a level 30 prinny" ? i would also recommend throwing the enemies together to combine for 1 big one and go to town on it. it's much better to kill a level 10 enemy than 5 level 2 enemies.
@@peternordstrom9991 when starting out it will tell you to make one fighter and one mage. Usually you would only main Etna and/or laharl and one skull mage. The monsters level up with your highest and prinnies are the cheapest to heal and make. So running a sword with gladiator on it and maybe 3 seals if you get lucky enough to get them and run them up levels you would just put the sword/items on new person and bully the prinny/ies by using that exp map and placing them on the exp board since it goes both ways for allies and enemies. So a 30 prinny would be like a 40/45prinny. Your method works too. Just toss them and beat the leveled up enemy but you have to steal their items first which would be costly.
That's unfortunately the tough part about doing this early. Thankfully you can do this at anytime so It's also rng reliant since you aren't guaranteed the chance of Invincibility panels showing up. I'm sorry ;_;
@@Sobata92 yea i got thru it and my statistician at 14 i just gotta keep leveling my party i also did the brawler method where i make 3 brawlers and use lift on my character still hard but i thank you for the method
Every time I start an item world I'm not getting any innocence on the first stage? Bug or bad rng? Using a stealing hand with only a statistician on it
Their placement is usually random. Sometimes they won't show up until later so yeah, it's rng reliant unfortunately. You gotta remember too that you gotta buy new Stealing hands everytime you subdue another
@@Sobata92 ya the limited amount on the item I understand, but the video made it sound like they were only on first floor. I found one on 2nd just trying and checking out the item world. Yes you should easily be able to do all of this on that version too as the other versions of this game don't necessarily have huge gameplay differences
No unfortunately. You'll have to buy a new stealing hand that has a Statistician in it. (This is my first guide and I'm already seeing a lot of stuff I could have explained better) I'm sorry I wasn't detailed enough concerning item Innocents
Okay, so... I have to subdue the innocent, move the resident to the Imperial seal and then buy another stealing hand and go into that one, repeat that till Imperial Seal has around 300?
@@Mauri.El.Creador yup. Pretty much. The good news is that my facts were wrong. I thought the max was 300, the good news is that the new max is 900 but I'd stick with 300 for early game
Disgaea 2 has a completely different system actually that is easier or harder depending on what you think In Disgaea 2 they replaced Statisticians with Felonies. Felonies are completely different as they are permanently in effect. And instead of applying them to equipment you apply them to characters instead. Disgaea 2 definitely changed the system since you don't get Subpoenas and Felonies until later in the story. Basically if you have a Character that gets issued [2] Felonies, that character will permanently recieve 2% more EXP
Continue to buy stealing hands that have Statisticians in them. Go into their item worlds. Subdue them And then you can freely move the subdued Innocents around and fuse them to make bigger Statisticians.
Ahhh disgaea 1... showing us how easy it is to abuse tainted staff's stupid scaling in item world. Combine jobs to get a stupid int+ stat that makes the game broken after grinding cave of ordeals 3..... those were the days.

You are a life saver. I grabbed disgaea yesterday, and I love the style of it, but god its so unclear about how to get a good start. Thank you for the video, this is so helpful!!
What? From 300 to 900?
another small trick for more advanced plays (cause itll kill you at the start) if you fuse a subdued inoccent and an unsubbdued innocent the fusion will be unsubdued, and thus you can repeat the subduing that will double its lv again
also, I dont remember but, which map has the first easy lv99 set ups? for those who dont know, in Disgaea, enemies give an amount of experience dependant on its lv on an exponential factor until lv 100, basically killing 1 lv10 enemy is better than killing 2 lv 5 enemies, there are also class multipliers, for example killing a lv 20 dragon will give more exp than a level 20 mage, on the other hand, mages give more mana peer kill, so with that out of the way, as mentioned, when enemies hit lv 100 the exp formula changes to an additive one, so killing 1 lv 300 enemy will give the same exp as 3 lv 100, but here is the kicker, because of the change in formula, lv 99 enemies have an insane exp value, a single lv 99 enemie gives the same amount of experience as an enemie around lv 300, this is actually a bug in the programming when changing the formulas, but the NIS team loved it so much it became a staple feature in all subsequent Disgaea games, not only that, they create maps specifically so that you can get groups of enemies with no equipment on exp panels at lv 99, thus my question, cause I dont remember
pretty sure its 5-3 plus a few stronger enemy bills. You can then throw the enemies on top of eachother to level them up to level 99. the whole map except for 1 tile is invincibility tiles so its easy to do
@@TheInterNep the frozen maps, yup, but I was asking more in case the Complete had set other maps to pass a few stronger enemy bills to have all enemies lv 99
tough I think in this frozen map its actually really precise how to make a lv 99 enemy, since you want the Nekomata to be the one, Succubus are a pain since they heal back, and regarding the lv 99 in this map, I think you must pass at least 1 stronger enemy bills, since the otherwise they get only up to 84-92 once all are fused
jotunheim - absolute cold with 4 stronger enemy bills
combine 3 enemies together and theres a level 99 (you can make 2 level 99 enemies and a level 66 that way)
You’d think the mentor/student system would work in the opposite direction given the name. But no, the student teaches skills to the teacher instead.
Yeah it's...a bit backwards and weird they decided to do it that way
This video feels rather well-put together.
The most important point of the video is build statisticians up on a piece of equipment
this was really good, just started replaying disgaea pc and was looking for something to make things easier for myself, this was exactly what i needed. thanks a lot matey, looking forward to more good stuff from you.
the script was nice and funny too, had a great time overall
Just a thing I noticed, I know you didn't mention it but...with hospital items, if you get it to be a rare quality, it has like...a 25% boost, which helps a lot as equipping 2 rare items gives a same rarity bonus effect.
And as a follow up to that, if you remove and requip the items for HP and SP you can heal again to inflate the reward counter early to get the tier 3 or 4 reward for very early decent HP and SP on a character. Especially synergises well with this method to allow laharl to be better prepared in that first item world trip when he is still low level and at risk.
one of the most helpful guides for beginner i've seen. Keep it up
This is like the best video for beginners out there.
Thank you ^^ it was my first time trying to make a guide
a note you missed.. when you go to the dr and claim a prize, make sure the item you want is at least a legendary, if not just back out and talk to the healer again until you get the item rarity you want
This was great im like 3/4 through the game. Had no idea about the capture mechanic haha.
You kinda don't need too dunno if he mentions it but killing more of those monsters reduces their mama cost and being a pupil of someone (created by using mana they will have a higher chance of initiating combo)
@@scarletrose8766 ill be honest - i platinumed the title and used the mechanic once 😂. But thanks for the advice.
The jotunheim stage is so easy to exploit the hell out of
@@Sobata92 Unless you accidentally stack into a succubus. TwT
Then it never stops healing for the next thirty minutes.
With a level 50 Laharl, an Etna that can do damage to a level 112 enemy, and a powerful sword for Laharl, you can actually capture a level 112 succubus and use that succubus to capture a level 112 nekomata.

@@Sobata92 oh god that sounds interesting xD
@@Sobata92 I might as well give you the rules cause you might have a fun video to mess with for it.
Rules:
1. I can only use a Prinny and that Prinny only for the run. He will do everything solo. I can't reincarnate him to a higher class of the species I have to use the base Prinny. However I can reincarnate him to increase stat growth

Now that I bought it for the switch I was completely at a loss of what to do. I guess that's what you get for cheating huh? I would love to see you make more videos like this.
Honestly I would too.
Been trying to do a Prinny Only challenge run video for Disgaea 4 and that's been a hell of a journey
Mr. Gency's Exit = M.R. Gency's Exit = Emergency Exit. A bit of a pun that I didn't realize until far too late in my Disgaea experience.
It's pretty clever!
This helped me alot thanks buddy
Great video! You explained everything really well.
Well, if only I did this in Disgaea 4. I'd be able to destroy the final boss with ease if I had done this.
Dood, I would love some more videos like this!

Everyone loves dragons, right?
if you see clone and invincibility geo symbols
youve hit the leveling jackpot :D
note does not work past disgaea 3 ;D
It is gonna get even MORE IMPOSSIBLE with Disgaea 6... they raised the level cap again to 99,999,999! And damage cap is 10 jillion. O_o
It's gonna be a blast tackling those monster numbers!
Monster Capture is available in every version~
The game doesn't really go out of its way to teach you the ins and outs properly but i will let you know beforehand that you cannot capture Monsters that you don't have access too.
So as an example, you got Spirits unlocked but not the second tier spirit. You can't capture second tier spirits unless you have them available to create.

I never really tried the ally kill method in the years I've been playing
i never noticed i ever got exp from killing allies. how do you "just make a level 30 prinny" ? i would also recommend throwing the enemies together to combine for 1 big one and go to town on it. it's much better to kill a level 10 enemy than 5 level 2 enemies.

But even though I had a few 7s the mobs were a bit too powerful for my group. Will have to hold off a bit on this myself. But I think I understand better now. Thanks
Can you do one for disgaea 4?
0:36 which Disgaea game is this from?
5
Can I apply this on Disgaea Afternoon of Darkness?
Yes you should easily be able to do all of this on that version too as the other versions of this game don't necessarily have huge gameplay differences
@@Sobata92 thank you kind sir
Will statistician specialist still appear in that same stealing hand I started with after I clear the first 10 floors?
No unfortunately.
You'll have to buy a new stealing hand that has a Statistician in it.
(This is my first guide and I'm already seeing a lot of stuff I could have explained better)
I'm sorry I wasn't detailed enough concerning item Innocents
@@Sobata92 Ah okay, thank you lol. It's all good, trust me, the guide is still doing WONDERS for me rn lmao
@@bluedroid2466 I'm glad that it is able to help!
Okay, so...
I have to subdue the innocent, move the resident to the Imperial seal and then buy another stealing hand and go into that one, repeat that till Imperial Seal has around 300?
@@Mauri.El.Creador yup. Pretty much. The good news is that my facts were wrong. I thought the max was 300, the good news is that the new max is 900 but I'd stick with 300 for early game
lower lvl item have those brokers
if boosting s Stat over 300 doesnt do anything.. does stacking multiple 300s do anything?
My info was flawed
The actual max for Statisticians is now 900 in the Complete version
@@Sobata92 good to know. ^_^. But can you stack multiples for uber crazy bonuses?
@@frownmastr Yes, 3 300s = 900
The max for most regular stats is in the thousands
Thanks for the vídeo and can you do this in disgaea 2 for Playstation 2? Because i Will play this game of the series
Disgaea 2 has a completely different system actually that is easier or harder depending on what you think
In Disgaea 2 they replaced Statisticians with Felonies.
@@Sobata92 well that infortune, thanks for the answer!
@@guilhermegaspar752 happy to help
Kinda sad they nerfed capturing, use to be you could merge monsters then capture the low hp result
Capture unfortunately did lose a lot of its merit. Nowadays it being a requirement for maxing out characters in Disgaea 5.
Wtf my statitician didn't stack like yours it says +14 stat +14 stat. How you do that +290?
Continue to buy stealing hands that have Statisticians in them.
Go into their item worlds.
Subdue them
And then you can freely move the subdued Innocents around and fuse them to make bigger Statisticians.
@@Sobata92 TY for reply. I figured it out. I just had to combine Statiticians.
Ahhh disgaea 1... showing us how easy it is to abuse tainted staff's stupid scaling in item world. Combine jobs to get a stupid int+ stat that makes the game broken after grinding cave of ordeals 3..... those were the days.
let the prinny die faster give them low hp
Disgaea 2 3 4 5 6 exp
