I think it would much prefer to go to the Mandarin Restaurants in Ontario then I would here. At least you get a nice selection of food and of course all you can eat. I can’t understand why you went back the third time to be quite honest with you.
They should really take the cleanliness of the restaurant very seriously like the maple syrup dispensers are sticky, the floors are filthy like cmon Golden Corral Rochester
Golden Corral gets a bad rap for some reason. Their chicken and fish are the best. It's too bad more people don't know what they're missing. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It seems that they keep closing restaurants. The closest one to us is 1:15 away. Bring them back!!!!! Great video!
Great video Ken! It's unfortunate though that this golden corral didn't have breakfast. All the ones I've ever been to have a huge breakfast selection starting at 8am. Keep an eye out for one and give it a shot!
We have Golden Corral here. Same set up in Rochester, NY. Love everything. Meat loaf, roast, potatoes and carrots a must have.Broccoli, corn, green beans, great. Desserts: banana and chocolate pudding, apple pie. Everything else great!!!!
I guess the opening times & what's served varies from location to location. I'm live in Henrico, VA & our Golden Corral opens at 8 am daily & closes at 9 pm. At breakfast they have french toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, ham & cheese sandwiches & sliced ham. Some things have probably changed because it's been awhile since I've gone there for breakfast but there's certainly a heck of a lot more variety here than what you've experienced. Hope you can try a different location that actually serves breakfast.
Surprises me that I ate 3 of the same items over the past 3 days, Ken. Friday night att the office a colleague had treated us to some awesome decadent brownies as her niece had turned 1. They served as a rare dessert at the office for me. Last night I had pulled pork in a sandwich. And this afternoon I was on my own and craving some fried chicken for I ordered a 2 piece chicken with a wrap from the Colonel.
My Dad always said the best carrot cake was moist with walnuts, raisins, shredded carrots & cream cheese icing. He described it being so moist that you could almost wring it out LOL He mostly got those from his Jewish friends & co-workers rather than restaurant based. Heather xo
The food looks OK but that sirup tank dosen't make you think high about there hygine :( :( And why do the not put signs up, for that I would walk away. I want to know what I'm eating end I what it to be clean.
I like all 3, but my preference is French toast, then pancakes, then waffles. But I need butter on mine before adding syrup. Also, pancakes are the ones I get tired of most easily. Even seeing others eat pancakes after I’m full of them makes me uneasy. And I’m glad he tried the peach cobbler after avoiding it because he didn’t know what it was. I kinda screamed in my head “It’s peach cobbler!” in pt1 when he said he didn’t know what it was. :-)

That’s what I was thinking too when I saw the video pop up. Many years ago when I was down on my luck we moved to another part of the U.S. where there was a Golden Corral close by. Made that mistake twice, once, and then thinking no way it was that bad, went back a second time…. Whoops. They employ people and are a low cost way for people to get out to eat, but it’s a crap shoot. Literally. 😂
Loved the video Ken! The thing that i have with buffets, is that in my mind, most of the food could be there for DAYS (here in Argentina, most of the times is true in the cheap ones!!). So i have to go to an expensive one to really enjoy the experience.Then, if it´s crowded you have to be fast... The idea of the "all you can eat" thing is nice, but i´m more of sit down, get one entrance, one main, and maybe a dessert in a good restaurant, where maybe i can spend a little bit more money but eating without worries.
You should have tried the pot roast! I love it my favorite Golden corral dish! I always tip the server they clear you dishes and keep your drink filled!
Hi Ken enjoy watching your travels!! Our Golden Corral here in Austin Texas has a more vast variety of items on the buffet. That also includes breakfast , steaks, oriental food, it's huge and I think you'd really enjoy it and get a great variety bang for your buck!!
I noticed some people didn’t like the buffets you go to & I love you stuff but I do agree, your going to bottom of the barrel buffets & that alot of people wouldn’t do to them including me…I think people would be more excited if you went quality buffets
We call it baked spaghetti, but typically it has the regular full length noodles (and is my favorite meal when made correctly.) I think it’s chopped to make it easier to serve.
Ken the "spaghetti casserole" you had is actually called baked spaghetti, as someone else has said in the comments, Its supposed to have full length noodles lol
Hey Ken I got a thought for you seeing as how you're doing restaurants in the US. How about doing 24 hours at a Denny's restaurant. That's my go-to over the years 24 hour breakfast lunch and dinner place.

I think you would enjoy some Southern meat and 3 restaurants. If you ever travel through Spartanburg,SC, try the Beacon. Now that would be an interesting experience as a stealth visit. All of the big politicians stop by there for a campaign visit.

Five guys is great. Some things you may not be interested in. The burgers are really yummy but on the pricey side. In NC so yeah we'll pay $10.00 dollars once or twice for the double cheeseburger with bacon and other toppings, Cajun fries. Do it!! I want to know if you think it's worth the price ❤

We call this place Golden Trough. People confuse quantity for quality. Not my favorite, and went with family for steak and shrimp. Never had any shrimp, asked server and they said it would be right up. She approached us 3 times with the same answer. I will never give them my money.
Not a huge fan of GC but they have the best carrot cake! That icing is legit. If I do go I usually load up a baked potato and maybe get some fried fish, but there’s just something a little off with many of their dishes.
I am really enjoying the stealth camping videos. It's an original concept in my opinion and something that I've never seen before. Also, we know that Golden Corral isn't exactly 5 star cuisine people. However, the whole point is trying new foods and destinations! My anxiety goes down while watching these adventures as I am unable to travel like this in my life! Thank you!

the signage is very lazy I agree considering most of its the same stuff also it takes 1 minutes to wipe that syrup bottle

How about 24 hrs at a Whole Foods Market? A bit pricey but good variety of cold and hot bar food not to mention to go sushi and sandwiches.
