H.M.H.S. Britannic Final Plunge Animation

On the 21st of November 1916, after hitting a mine,
H.M.H.S Britannic sank 4 miles from the island of Kea. She sank in just 55 minutes,
less than half the time of her sister Titanic.

I have been on the island of kea twice now and from the coast could see boats over the wreck site and it is so sad that she was so close to safety and beaching herself but sadly she didn't make it 😔

the fact that nearly all of the people who died that day were in a lifeboat that was run over by one of the ship's propellers makes the tragedy all the sadder...RIP to those 30 peopol.
