History will never forget the heroics of Capt. Arthur Rostron when he immediately turned & prepared his ship for the rescue of the ill-fated Titanic's passengers & crew. He did a turn & burn pushing every ounce of steam he could without hesitation. RIP Commodore Rostron & the Carpathia.
Carpathia’s top speed was 14, but called all stokers to make that number 17.
A hero is never forgotten no matter the depth of ones soul. R.I.P.
Long live legend RMS Carpathia 1903-1918🕊️
Like my Titanic or Olympic
Rip you soul lol why?, eh just want
*1902
Yeah, great ship 😊
Long live a ship that sank?
Uhh... how?
What a glamorous ship. In my opinion she should have been the pride of the Cunard Line. Imagine the career she could have had if she had never have sunk. RIP.
Sad to see the ship that saved 705/712 people from the Titanic disaster also be on the seafloor as well a fallen hero may she never be forgotten 😔
What do you mean, Carpathia saved all 712 survivors.
@@RobloxianXhe means its unknown exactly if there actually in reality were 705 or 712 survivors. Some sources say 705 but others say 712. All we know is it was 700+
Carpathia was the first to reach the scene and pulled all the survivors out of the boats, but she was so far away when she first received Titanic's CQD that she did not arrive on scene until after daylight. Another vessel named Californian was much closer, and her wireless operator had attempted to warn Titanic that floating ice was becoming a problem. Titanic's operators, busy with sending and receiving messages for passengers and the press, curtly told him they were busy with Cape Race. Later, he broke in again, coding "we have been stopped by ice." Titanic's response was "Keep out, you are jamming my transmissions!"
Californian's operator then took off his headset and went to bed.
Several passengers and crew aboard Californian reported seeing another ship in the distance that appeared to be in distress, and distress rockets being fired, but Californian's officers dismissed those as being party fireworks or something. The wireless operator was not summoned to listen for distress signals. Next thing they knew, the other ship had disappeared. Conversely, several of Titanic's survivors reported having seen the lights of another ship off in the distance that never responded. This was certainly the Californian.
Californian's crew was interrogated during the maritime investigation of the Titanic sinking as to why they were so close, yet did not respond to numerous distress signals. A definitive answer was never put forth. Conflicting and vague stories were told by all, as if they didn't really want to tell the truth.
My thoughts are that they heaved-to for the night to avoid icebergs and all of them got very drunk. They did not want to respond in this state or they would have been in serious trouble. They tried to ignore what was probably happening over there and pretended they didn't know.
Many more lives could have been saved.
Actually, there was 2200 people on board the titanic
@@MaraDiabordo But they're talking about the people who survived and boarded Carpathia, not the amount of people on Titanic.
Carpathia is in the arms of an angel & will be forever in our hearts always.
So are her brave, caring, selfless, loving captain, crew, and passengers who gave up so much for those who survived the Titanic disaster.
This was very well done, but painful to watch. The closest we’ll ever know what it might have looked like, although she took nearly 2 hours to go down, so understandably time condensed. I love that ship so much, and what a career. As others have commented, she was in war service and my understanding the red funnel was painted black or gray. However, I like to see her with the traditional red funnel. Five sailors were killed because of the torpedoes, but amazingly everyone else had time to escape in the lifeboats. Carpathia was not the kind of ship that was going to take a lot of people with her.
It's crazy how it took around 2 hours for it to sink for such a small ship.
3:49 This sound is going to be stuck in my head every time I think about Carpathia sinking
The quality of the special effects and the realism are better than the films of Marvel
That means alot thank you so much
@@Blue-Star-Line you are welcome
I've been watching your videos for a while now and I've loved seeing the animation quality and the videos themselves progressively get better.
Agreed
RIP 🙏🏽 Carpathia & thank you for being the hero ship rescuing the 700 or so survivors titanic 😢
Blimey three torpedo's?! It was clear to see after the first two she was going down, yet the Germans had no mercy to allow more time for all boats to be lowered. Despicable.
There should be a movie about the Carpathia’s sinking. I think the movies about the Titanic, Britannic and Lusitania sinking are real masterpieces and I’m sure a good movie about the Carpathia sinking could be created too.
That force made two lifeboats fell, scary. Anyway, another great video!! Keep it up!
The graphics are fantastic, such a safe end to such a heroic ship
Carpathia foundered at position 49°25′N 10°25′W, sunk by Gerrman submarine U-55, commanded by Kapitan Lt Wilhelm Werner. U-55 sank 64 ships and survived the war. She was surrendered to Japan in 1918 and served in the Japanese navy until eventual disposal.
This video about the sinking of the RMS Carpathia is an absolute masterpiece, thank you very much ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
R.I.P carpathia
watching her sinking was aching.
Rest in peace Carpathia 1902 - 1918
We will remember you as you saved the survivors of titanic 😢😢😢 0:46
Sad event. Would be better if you provided a bit of backstory too. When, and where this took place ? Was Captain Rostron still the captain in 1918 ? Were there any passengers abord ? How many crew members ? How many perished ? How many survived ?
Ironic that the Carpathia once became the little ship that became a hero to meeting her end as a sitting duck
Carpathia: "Hello, Titanic!"
*Titanic gasps in joy*
Impressive. This simulation is very accurate despite having a single photo (the one who took a guy from the submarine crew in the right time) showing the sinking in real life. I liked it.
Thank you. I think you will enjoy this Friday's video even more
@@Blue-Star-Line Okay, I'll be waiting patiently.
That 3rd torpedo was a little overkill, heartless sub captain.
Nobody:
Lusitania: 18 minutes
Carpathia: TWO WHOLE HOURS
Lusitania cargo exploded
Plus the Lusitania's engines were still running
In another timeline where Titanic never sank, this happens with just one major change: Titanic rescues the survivors and earns the nickname Hero.
The carpathia’s wreck also looks similar to the titanics which is quite eerie
I loved the carpathia and it’s history saving all those people certainly got my attention and respect 👏💪

RIP Carpathia if it were not for this ship more lives could have been lost.
Yeah, because the survivors were exhausted, crying, shivering and hurting terribly and the Carpathia arrived at their location hours before any other ship.
@@DANIELLE_BREANNA_LACY Yep
Depicting water and waves is still not perfect in popular 3D programs. Otherwise beautifully done!
R.I.P for the helper ship

Love your videos keep it up
RMS Carpathia, Will live forever......
We honor the good people and the carpathia that died and sank and we pray that they come back
Rip carpathia titanic hero
I was surprised they used that third torpedo.
they probably got bored of waiting for the ship to sink after just 2 torpedoes, Carpathia did surprisingly well considering she took 2 torpedoes to her side which caused more damage than what it took to sink the TITANIC!, not to mention she lasted longer during her sinking than Titanic did when SHE sank...
Did anyone survive
@@aninkytheorist1133 yep thats exactly why
Why is that Royal Mail Ships seem to always end up sinking?
Maybe because Great Britain was involved in two world wars with an enemy that loved using u-boats?
@@Tempusverum its about RMS ships
Is anyone forgetting about the Titanic 2? wasn't it supposed to come out this year? Edit: Great vids btw keep up the excellent work!
It’s cancelled
@@call.meastro i know but sttill when they say so it's not coming
I know they would never take the time to do this, but can you imagine if they moved the wreck of the Carpathia to the sea to rest next to Titanic?
In their own place they tell their own story
I was shocked at 2:53 when the third torpedo hit the boat... the captain of the U-boat wanted to accelerate the sink of the Carpathia ?
Most likely yes
The fact that they knocked some of the lifeboats off
Carpathia should not have ever gone done a great little show
Love this animation! Could you make a Sinking of S.S Californian video?
When I saw the previous version of this, I thought it was fictional, but upon further research it was indeed true. The RMS Carpathia was torpedoed by SM U-55 south of Ireland and west of the Scilly Isles on July 17th, 1918. The disaster of the Titanic had came back to her, and this time it was personal.

Legends never die.
Yes, yes they do.
Titanics legends 😢😢😢
After the Carpathia sank, she will finally joined the Titanic and her older Half Sister Ivernia
Rms Carpathia 1:01
Over 100 years later and I'm still angry about how Carpathia met her end 😡
She didn't deserved that... Once she retired she should have been donated to a museum of some sort and admired by future generations like the "Tall Ship" at Glasgow's riverside museum.
Rip😭
i cant believe the carpathia sank in 5 minutes
This isn't real speed, irl it took 2 hours to sink. She went out valiently.
@@__-fm5qv It actually took roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes to sink. If the third torpedo didn't hit, the ship would probably take longer.
That give me an idea: Carpathic.
What game is This, it looks so fun!
What was the point of the third torpedo because it was already sinking
The man who commend SM U-55 Wilhelm Werner was starting to grow impatient with How slow the Carpathia was sinking and was afraid she may not of even would sink at all so He Fired a Third Torpedo for the Death Blow
at 1:27 what was that gun on the bow of the U-Boat used for?
For when the submarine is on the surface The submarine would use guns to shoot small ships or sometimes to attack soldiers or weapons on the other ship.
For self defence i guess
the Carpathia was a very nice ship...when they saved titanics survivors they were the cunard line and titanic was white star line. i often think if the 2 companies that at that moment were seperate but merged later on....white star really owed the cunard line after the carpathia saved the survivors
rostron seemed like a great captain....
did it sink this fast? its like how the hell did they launch the lifeboats in such short time??
They became known as the Cunard White Star Line when they first merged, but later became known as just the Cunard Line again. Bruce Ismay the White Star Line’s managing director who survived the Titanic disaster offered to reimburse the Cunard Line for having their Carpathia give up her voyage and weaken her parts to save as many people as possible from the Titanic disaster and then return to New York City with them, but the Cunard Line rejected it
Rostron was indeed a great captain, he was one of the best captains in history!
No, it did not sink this fast. It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to completely sink with the 3 torpedoes it got struck by and only 5 crew members died in explosions.
What is the simulator name??
what software do u use
R.I.P 1902-1918
Bro where i can download carpathia + sinking animation pls answer

Blue star line if you see this next time you make a carpathia sinking animation try and get her in her wartime livery cuz she wasn’t painted in her Cunard line colours when she foundered
You should watch this!

if you wanna skip to the sinking go to 1:25 (blue star line please pin this so people know what time to skip to)
Cool animation, but I think the U-Boot model is a Type VII C from the second world war.

How many people they died?
5 people died during the 2nd torpedo impact
Ok
Why was the Carpathia sunk..did she carry contraband like the Lusitania?
Also why the 3rd torpedo? She was alreadh obviously sinking????
It's rumoured that the U-boat captain grew inpatient as he did not think a ship of that size would take long to sink. So he fired the third one to speed up the process

Wouldn't the Carpathia be a heroine?
Oh Come on Why Can’t Those people stop sneaking those beautiful ships
It’s over now and Germany is a very peaceful country now.
This smaller ship hit 3 tropedos and sank more than a 1 hour and Lusitania much bigger ship hits one Torpedo and sank in 18 minutes
Well maybe the Lusitania was carrying 💥 contents
This looks like a clear win for the submarine.
It was already sinking and they still fires another torpedo at it ???
What program did you use?
Who shot the Carpathia?
17th July, 1918.
