- New look at Super Saiyan Goku (Mid) Gameplay in Sparking Zero!
Bandai Namco Europe S.A.S has revealed that DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, the first entry in the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series in 15 years will be released on 11th October 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game is now available for both physical and digital pre-order.

It's a Tenkaichi game...
Why must they rush? Its still new ofcourse they want to see what moves each character has.
And I'm pretty sure they were just showing off all available characters before making their pick. And in an online match they likely won't have the time or spike will take the fighter route and let you save have multiple teams in a queue to pick from before a fight.

I’m sure they will. The devs usually get a lot of feedback at these events, and surely someone who played the demo told them.
It's already been changed what you saw is a very old build of the game
3:56 something i will say is that when they both are attacking at the same time , the characters arent taking any effect. in the older games there were effects to display a clash. in xenoverse theres also a clash mechanic if both players hit each other. it just looks a little clunky.
In Dbz Budokai games their is a Melee Exchange if two characters Power Attacks each other at the Same Time
If you mean the impact, I think they can still add it before launch. If you mean a mechanic, I think they already have one, but it isn't just hitting at the same time. In the og bt series you need to rush each other (L2+X), that fast flight rush with an aura would trigger the clashing minigame mechanic

Unpopular opinion, maybe. The general aesthetic of shading and lighting on the stages does not contribute to immersion, quite the contrary. It is a constant distraction to me, the extreme heterogeneous contrast makes the characters look like cartoons living in a real world, something like an accidental "space jam effect." The clearest example of this will be seen in the celshading textures of explosion smoke floating over a softshaded environment. The game will be amazing, but it would have been perfect with more "anime" style scenarios.
It's not the stage it's the character models. The cell shading is just done bad and the textures aren't good either (look at Super Saiyan Hair). Someone made an anime accurate mod for Xenoverse2 if you want to see how it's supposed to be done.
@@alexander1055yea respectfully disagree definitely the stage, it's obvious due to some scenes looking way better than some others that the game is still unfinished.

In Dbz Super Android 13 movie he has Spirit Bomb Fist which he destroyed Super Android 13 with. This move is in DragonBall Legends and He does have Spirit Bomb Absorption in Dbz Budokai 3 and Infinite World

Little nitpick i have js how easily the charscters get damaged, seems they get scuff marks after one hit from the opponent, i feel it shoukd get like thst after maybe half their health is gone, getting their costumes properly damaged after being hit with a super or ultimate energy attack is great though.

Charging up for a "limit break" or whatever it's called, and all the "limit break" charges for Goku disappeared
Not a bug, the player used "Wild Sense" 3 times which stack. Wild sense makes your character automatically dodge an incoming attack by using intantaneous transmission. This was also featured in Budokai Tenkaichi 3

I only wish they made super said mid gokus hair more thick and fluffy like it is in the anime. It actually is a bit thicker and fluffy in bt3 which is more accurate

Maybe fluffier but this is alright. Maybe less edge silhouettes if you want more of the BT3 hair.

Cell Saga Goku later ssj form is Mastered Ssj Goku which had Warp Kamehameha and a Massive Power Boost( Was the Third most powerful Character in the Cell Saga)

The interface for character selection looks awful, the slow scrolling is what makes it annoying. They should allow for faster scrolling between character options and to have the character instantly show up instead of taking 2 seconds.

I honest to god hope that intro for Goku gets polished up... Along with his Meteor Smash... otherwise he looks so fucking good and his Angry Kamehameha has literally NEVER looked as good as it does in SZ... not in FighterZ, the anime, manga, original BT3, Budokai, XV, DBZ Kakarot, Dokkan or Legends

This would reduce the amount of actual characters significantly. It says 164 Characters but in fact there could be only 85 actually different characters and this is what worries me.
It has to have at least the same amount of characters like in Tenkaichi 3, transformations included..

@@WeisenbergTKMrWhite having the transformation included in that number doesn't really bother me that much since they all end up playing differently (different rush combos, different specials, different blast skills), but also 164 is the base game number, and they've already confirmed 20 characters with the 3 DLC in the season pass. Granted, Daima will probably come with the kid variants of the existing characters, and super hero will include Orange Piccolo, Beast Gohan, Cell Max, and probably teen goten and trunks and/or their saiyaman variants, so there'll still be variants of existing characters added with those DLC, but so long as they feel different, I'm fine with it. Goku (mid) still Goku (peak)
But also Xenoverse 2 has had 8 years of support behind it, and is on like, DLC character pack 16, so I doubt this game will only have 3 dlc packs
