    Nice vid, however I would have liked to see the actual repair being done on the st3 hull as it's a fiberglass/plastic shell and their is not alot of content on that process. Good content on the importance of proventitive maintenance, or at least take the lid off and look at it!

    I was hoping to see some good CM Tec repair. That repair is very poor from a cosmetic standpoint. The reason that they put the coating on the bottom was because they could not match the finish. Gel Coat is easier for most glass guys despite what BRP wants to say.

    Good job, love the videos! There is a chance someone else was on his ski when it happened and they told him it didn't go under and he just believed them. Im a auto mechanic and people minimize the problem all the time when dropping something off, like they hope it will be cheaper or something if they act like its not bad, problem is it often makes it 10 times harder to diagnose cause you don't have the whole story. Happy Holidays!!

    Hi, you said you shouldn’t run the ski out of water. So, are you saying you wouldn’t recommend flushing the engine after salt water use? Great videos, cheers from New Zealand.

    • @NoNopeAndNo
      @NoNopeAndNo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Was thinking same thing. In NZ and AUS most skis will be used on saltwater and a flush is a must.

    First time watching your channel, Do you know if Sea-Doo has improved their wiring harness in the 2022 Fish Pro Trophy so they do not have the issues you are explaining? I was thinking of buying one. On the shaft, you are showing that is rusty, would it be a good idea to oil the shaft to keep it from rusting. As far as the bearing goes you showed that is bad, is there a way to keep it greased to improve the life of the bearings? Do you have a maintenance video for owners that would help us learn how to do proper maintenance the manual may not cover? It's a lot of money to put out for one, so I want to make sure I do proper maintenance to make it last. Thank you for your videos. I look forward to learning more from you. John Fair. Tallahassee Florida.

    • @calasworld
      @calasworld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As far as the wire harness still the same I think the best way to have less issues is to have the Jetsky in a garage and get the seat off and open all compartments and let it air until the next time you go riding

    • @calasworld
      @calasworld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The best way is to have a fresh water ramp near you you can wash the whole JetSki and your trailer if you don’t Half the choice then run the motor for no more than 10 seconds with the hose

  • @racerx2084

    I love when the customer denies the truth. I had a customer who brought their fxho in for a no start. Said they went to the dock and the ski wouldn’t start. Well we figured out what happened as soon as we took off the seat. Didn’t have to look at the engine. The seat felt like it was 100 lbs. we pulled the ecu log and the upside down switch code was on and the customer still denied nothing happened and it just wouldn’t start.

    I never see you put in the stainless steel wear ring. How do you feel about that?

    • @calasworld
      @calasworld  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a lot to say about that subject but will keep it brief. Seadoo designed the pump with a plastic wear ring and there is a purpose behind that design. For performance applications I myself prefer the plastic wear ring. However, if you ride in rivers with rocks I can see the stainless steel helping you and not hurting you. Now in this application keep in mind that when the bearing gets a little bit of wear you are going to wear out both the prop and the stainless steels wear ring and now you have a gap and that will cause cavitation. To solve that issue you now will have to replace both the prop and wear ring instead of just replacing a plastic $70 wear ring.

  • @franktedeschi5331
    @franktedeschi5331 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Do you put a lot of bilge pumps I was thinking of putting one on mine. I sometimes ride three riders. We flip the ski over twice so far and got a little bit of water in the ski not a whole lot but I would’ve like to have a bilge pump to suck it out.
