- DIY Sculpting Tools - THE EASY... ULTIMATE GUIDE!
In this video, I demonstrate how to make you're own DIY sculpting tools from some basic materials. A super simple guide that should prove useful to the beginner as well as the advanced modeller.
Cheers, Scott

One more before the new year. Thanks for all your support and patience. Have a great holiday season! Cheers.🍻
Great job
Thanks.🙂
Cheers Dude see you in the next one! TFS, GB :)
Thanks for the visit... right back at cha!😉
Awesome video- been trying to drum up the courage to start sculpting. Never even once thought about making my own silicone tools; that alone was worth the price of admission. Really appreciate all you do for us and the hobby in general, and see you in the next one.
Thanks so much! You need to just dive right in and try it. You'll never know if you enjoy it until you actually give it a go. Good luck!🍻
@@SmallSoldier Yeah, I've noticed this clay isn't sculpting itself. Haven't got TOO much spent on materials, but it'd be money better spent if I actually used the stuff. Thanks for the reply, and have a great week.
Some very good advice and well demonstrated. Good stuff. Cheers. 👍
Thanks, Andrew! Cheers.
You can get the metal "dental tools" at Harbor Freight in their catch all crafting section. They are about $7.00 for a set of 5 or 6.
Sculpting tools?! Way too 'artsy-fartsy' for me, lol 😉 If I had the talent to make use of tools like this, I might want to try some of them. Seriously though, excellent tutorial 👍 Btw, a big fan of The Office!!!
Thanks Jerry! They can also be used for making tarps and such for vehicles. THE OFFICE RULES!!🍻
@@SmallSoldier Now those I can do, lol 😆 Have a great Christmas! 🎅
Yes educational and entertaining. The twin pots you have for water that appear mounted to the board; anything special?
Excellent, thank you! No nothing special. I picked them up at my local art store. 🍻
Entertaining and useful. Thanks for sharing. One quick question, I get the 3 to 4 coats of CA/super glue, do you sand down the final coat or leave as is ? Thanks and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year 👍
Thanks! Yes correct, I should have stated that. Leave the final coat to dry off. You could use a buffing sanding stick on the final coat to get it super smooth. 🍻
@@SmallSoldier cool, thanks for coming back to me 👍
What Brand of Paint and brushes you use
Many brands. AK, Vallejo, Tamiya, Mig, Winsor Newton. Brushes are Winsor Newton series 7 and Artis Opis.
Amazon sells the dental tools
Just a comment for the algorithm
Thanks so much! I wish everyone was as thoughtful, it really does help. Cheers!🍻😀
