This helped SO much I never understood this because my teacher said it was ‘north of north east so it’s north north east’ and I never understood why because it was never the case so thank you!

Hello sir. Thank you so much for this. I do have a question though. How do you read the same directions on a world map? Say for exam south East Asia. How do you locate it and with reference to what point? When I look at a map I get confuses regarding the naming. Like why is central Asia called such? It is central to which point?
Hi, thanks for the feedback. So Central Asia is supposed to be in the center (or central region) of the continent of Asia. Then, if you place the center spot of your compass rose right in the middle of Central Asia, you simply go towards the southeast as indicated on the compass rose, that should be southeast Asia. I have made a more practical video on direction and wind direction. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/Z8CYAhk3C64/w-d-xo.html I hope it helps!
@@Faraaz00723 Hi again, sorry for the long wait. I must be honest, I'm not sure. I do know that in my country, South Africa, they split up one of the provinces into three. Very long ago there was a province called the Cape Province, but then the newly elected government decided to split this province up into the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape. It's interesting that there's no Southern Cape Province. Anyhow, in this case, it was the government who decided that there should be those three provinces (instead of one) and they are the ones who determined where the borders would be. When it comes to larger regions like Asia, I can only imagine that certain world leaders, along with Geographers have made these decisions. I found something on Wikipedia that might help. The second section on "Definitions" talks a lot about Geographers and there observations. I don't really see how they have used a certain point of reference. Here's the link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Asia#:~:text=Central%20Asia%20is%20a%20region,Tajikistan%2C%20Turkmenistan%2C%20and%20Uzbekistan.
Hi there, back in the day when I edited this video, I used Sony Vegas Pro. In the meantime, my hard drive was wiped and then I purchased Wondershare Filmora, so that's what I'm using right now. It's quite a bit cheaper than Sony Vegas Pro. Hope that helps!
Good point Shemy. When I created this channel long ago, I didn't really plan to post Geography videos, but it turned out that way in the end. The name 'Fish' is a nickname because of my surname. So it was kind of a spontaneous thing, plus I thought it would be easy to remember. Anyway, have a good day ;-)
