OMG thank you so much. This video explained really well, and having it be South African (cuz i live in SA too) was just a bonus! For goodness sake I wish my teacher would have just explained like this.
OMG u made me love Mapwork again. I was loosing interest nd I had forgotten what i have been taught in varsity and now being a new Geography teacher. The fear of teaching Mapwork gets to me but after following your videos, it has made life easier for me again. Baie dankie
I'm glad the videos help. What I have found is that it becomes easier and easier the more you explain it to others. Nou ja, teaching kan maar rof wees. Sterkte!
Baie Dankie. I moved to China and as soon as I got there there were exams. I had never done this in my life so thanks. Asseblief kan jy algebra gedoen.
Wait, but what if the distance we measured with the on the points is too big for the scale, what if we get a smaller scale, and the points on the paper don't fit on it?
Jessica Long Hi, I'm in Bangkok. My wife and I have been here almost 2 years. I'm glad these videos help! I might post maths vids in the future, but not soon. Is dit lekker in China? Een van my vriende werk daar.
Good Morning,I was required to draw a line scale and was given a map.I am not that versed in Geography and I am doing a Social Sciences course which include Geography for Grade 7-9
Hi, 4.5cm is the distance on the map itself. By using the scale (as demonstrated), you take the 4.5cm measured on the map and work out the real distance/the distance on the ground. I hope this helps.

That sounds like an idea. I know the ruler thing is kinda old school, but they still use it in most schools. Anyway, may the studies go well.
Thanks a lot I also wanted you to learn me how to measure distance in kilometers
