The printed newspaper is being phased out by many newspapers or the printing outsourced to other newspapers. There are tens of thousands of now unemployed highly experienced pressmen now that have been made redundant. Truthfully there is almost no chance an unexperienced person will find employment in the newspaper printing industry in the US, Canada or Europe. I worked in the newspaper industry in my youth and I know personally more than 10 pressmen whose jobs were lost due to the outsourcing of printing. Good Luck with your job search.
