In music, it is easy to focus solely on performance and neglect the most important foundation of good playing: practice. Similarly, we tend to wait for "big moments" in life to be fully present. We think when the stakes are high, when it really matters, that we can suddenly rise to the occasion. But it always matters. Each moment can become a practice. Every struggle is an opportunity for growth to test our mettle, to reshape the patterns of our actions to better match our values.
Each shared human moment a chance to connect, to learn something new, to draw closer to compassion and love. This week, I dedicate myself to the practice.
I like this one a lot! I am intrigued by you slapping with the metal picks to add the percussive effects. Many years ago when I used metal picks, I don't think that I was able to create any type of percussive effects without it sounding like a bunch of pots and pans crashing on the kitchen floor. Nice.

I really enjoyed this tune, RD. Very happy and up tempo, it gives me a reason to face the day. Thanks!

It was a big experiment for me too! Haven't quite mastered it yet but it does seem possible!
