I am a 52 year old drummer, i never even sat behind a kit until I 42 and even then it was very random. I played a little bit for a year at a church and got my legs but I didn’t play in a real band until 2 years ago. Why did I say all of this? I will probably never play like this but I can hear and feel you’re passion and that you’re having fun. It’s the having fun part that keeps me going.

Pat is my Uncle's favorite drummer ever!!!! My uncle has been drumming for over 50 years now and I've been drumming for 36 years this year. I started when I was 5 on my Uncle's Yamaha 8000 custom order kit and the family tradition has been amazing. Drummers for life.❤💯🥁👍
Underrated drummer. He even shared some tips with Neil Peart on Latin beats, during the time Mr. Big opened for Rush in the early 90s. Amazing drummer who could also sing along drumming.
pat was awesome. as was that solo. parkinson’s disease robbed him of his ability to play drums and ultimately took his life. i saw what it did to my father. my condolences and much love to pat’s family & friends.
If you know Mr Big you'll notice some patterns from their songs. Somewhere I heard Pat saying he has always tried to make unique patterns for each song

However, thanks to the internet, I get to enjoy watching and listening to drummers from around the world and this right here, is why I do. Passion, power, stamina, ability, all rolled up into one. You don't see much old school drumming on TH-cam anymore. It's mostly all 32nd notes on bass drum & 1 handed 16th note rolls which are amazing but it only seems to be useful in music I can't stand to listen to for more than 5 seconds.
That was dope! I find drum solos can get pretty boring after a few minutes. I got the adhd. But I sat through the entire set and loved it. I know he uses the double kick pedal on the single bass drum ,but it's so good because he's using it as a tool in the tool box, but hes using the hihat then moves to the kick as to not over play the double kick. Don't get me wrong double bass is awesome but I find in a solo it gets overused, there's not any single bass drum skills portrayed, with the hihat keeping the time. U know that sound John Bonham was famous for. The single bass has been left behind with the birth of the double kick pedal for under $200. Thats why this is so good in my opinion which isn't worth shit but just throwing it out there .
7O% OF DRUMMERS ALL TUNE AND PLAY THE SAME CRAP THEY ARE MAKING IT A VERY BORING DRUMMING WORLD 2O ~ 6O YEARS AGO DRUMMER HAD THEIR OWN SOUNDS AND YOU COULD TELL THE DIFFERENCE AND THAT WAS THE ART OF THE INSTRUMENT NOT AS MUCH ANYMORE WE HAVE TO GOO BACK TO EACH IT'S OWN AND STOP DOING THE SAME CRAP
Can ANYBODY out therecplay ANYTHING without cheating the basses with 4 point rolls? I give this guy a D minus. No imagination. And only ONE move......yeah.....your every one in the world does it 4 point roll .......yawn.....

Guys insane and I’ve been a drummer since 1990 and know most of the best players but am clueless to this guy.
He was in Mr. Big with Billy Sheehan from 89-99. They were top notch musicians. Opened for Rush on their 1990 tour.
