SafetyWing (best for younger travelers + digital nomads): safetywing.com?referenceID=alinamcleod&Ambassador
I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. BUT you cannot purchase SafetyWing WHILE in Canada or USA. You can only purchase once already abroad. Hey Mondo is more expensive but offers a higher level of coverage including plans that have trip cancellation/interruption insurance. Hey Mondo would be the better insurance to use if you need travel medical insurance when applying for a visa. Both companies cover covid. I am an affiliate for both companies, but I pay for my own policies.

Mexico City is slowly becoming my favourite capital city in the world, a lot of great things to see, a lot of great foods, + my girlfriend is from there, all though Mexico City seems to be very crowded compared to where I am from, I still love it a lot, so much so, that I think when I go to Mexico, it will be the best time of my life

I was born and raised in the US to Mexican parents and though I’ve always been close to my roots, visiting Mexico was such a life changing experience for me. I have family in Mexico City and I fell in love with that city so much that I even want to buy a home there one day. Now I realize why my grandma feels so homesick sometimes. It was a huge sacrifice to leave this beautiful country 💚🤍❤️

It has everything we want and many digital nomads have made this their home. Roma, Condesa, Juárez and Polanco are great places to visit but also to stay and explore the city beyond to places such as Xochimilco (great to go with friends and explore the canals), Coyoacan, Centro Histórico among others! Make sure to check out Chinatown, Koreatown and Little Tokyo for great food selections! We also have French, Argentine, Spanish, Italian, Colombian, and Lebanese neighbourhoods but not as well delineated as the Asian ones but still there! Have a blast…nearby Puebla is a great city to visit as well as Querétaro for the nearby wine county! Cheers!

Mexico City does have a lot more neighboorhoods worthy of finding an AirB&B, a hotel, or an apartment, to live and trhive within the hustle and bustle.
Avenida Insurgentes Sur conects many of these NHs, including San Angel and the fabulous Coyoacan, an ancien town that got trapped by cdmx sprawl, with plenty of charm...
Then you have Santa Fe, Interlomas, Bosque de las Lomas...but because of the topograhy they are set in,, they feel more isolated and detached from the city, eventhough they have their good share of shopping, food and dinning available, very diverse, but a lot more fragmented...
Then you have other cities, such as Queretaro, that will compete for your attention....

I am from CDMX but now I am living in Ottawa. What I miss from my lovely city is (of course the food) the cultural life. It is by far one of the best cultural capitals in all over the world (or at least in Western hemisphere). Next time you visit it take a look to the weekly program of arts and cultural activities. From classical music, theatre, festivals to museums, galleries, etc. ... too many things of everything!

That's how my wife and I started in 2006. Actually Cancun, then playa del carmen, then tulum (it was much nicer then) then we started to mostly return to Isla Mujeres. In the last 6 or 7 years, we try to add new places. We visited Merida, Holbox, Bacalar. Then we expanded to Puerto Vallarta and in 2017 we visited Mexico City for the 1st time and loved it. We just got back from our 2nd trip to CDMX and had a blast. Next area of interest will be Cabo area and maybe Oaxaca

Hello Alina, I am Mexican and I live in Mexico City and I really enjoyed this video. You have a talent for showing the interestingness of the places you record. I appreciate the enthusiasm with which you promote some places in my country. I also really enjoyed your adventure with the shark whales in Isla Mujeres. Through a TH-cam channel I have seen some places in your country Ukraine and it is a beautiful country where people love their roots and their culture. Continue with your adventure since you manage to unite many people and that is very valuable, take care of yourself and congratulations for your professionalism and charisma.

¡Exceptional presentation of Ciudad de México! As a high school student in 1968 I lived with a Mexican family on Aguascalientes in Colonia Roma and studied Mexican culture at the Universidad de las Americas - then located in Ciudad de México. I’m ready to return with my wife. Learning the safe areas will hopefully assure her that we can freely enjoy as I reminisce.

This is the most helpful video on Mexico City so far . The rest were okay but not as masterfuly done and presented. She did a good job balancing the historical aspect with that of the contemporary and not going overboard with the party scene. I find it informational as I am travelling to CDMC in a few days 😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
