- We break in our new boat at a local lake and bring our fishing rods for the adventure. Back at the cabin we cook up our catch with fresh foraged greens. This new mode of transportation has us excited for another awesome summer in Alaska.

Ok as a boat owner when i lived on lake memphremagog, i learned quickly that boats are expensive

I stumbled upon this video and I went to elementary school with Arielle, it’s been a long time! Glad you’re thriving out in Alaska!
I had a Golden Retriever, that if I packed my van up to g hunting, she would jump in the van and I would have to put a leash on her to get her back in the house. Then she would sleep by the door instead of my room, because she didn’t want me to leave without her. I am amazed at how much they enjoy the things we do, whether getting the boat out and hooking up, or packing gear, they want to come along and I love that they love it too.
I low key miss the 30- 45 minutes videos from you guys. 😢
I know they are dogs, but life vests for Bo and Bandit would be a great idea.

I was 30 seconds into this video and I was like "I KNOW his hair didn't grow that fast!" Too funny!
We spent a couple of years sailing in the Caribbean, and one of the first things we learned was that the more expensive the sunglasses are, the deeper the water that you drop them in will be. We had those self inflating life jackets, too, and they will self inflate out of the water if the humidity is high enough. They have a little aspirin like tablet that dissolves in water, and they degrade over time. So when you aren’t using them, be sure to store them in as dry an environment as you can to prolong their life, and replace them occasionally to prevent early deployment.

Definitely, DEFINITELY consider running a secondary fuel line from the second tank to the motor with a switch. You will almost certainly not be able to easily swap that from the front to the back, especially if the boat is loaded and/or by yourself.
To paraphrase Seinfeld 'As a confident heterosexual with an unblemished track record' Eric is a very attractive man...with hair.

Nice boat. One small tip. When backing the boat in the water make sure to unplug the trailer lights. Cold water and hot bulbs don't mix. Even if the lights are sealed, they will eventually leak.

Awesome boat! G3 is the all around Alaskan boat. You should get the inside lined with Linex at Matsu Line-x. It will help a lot so you wont slip, grip for the dogs and lower the sound from the motor and choppy water. Tell them Brandon King recommended you and you will get a big discount.
Enjoy those fiddleheads guys! I haven't had any fiddleheads to eat in the good 10 or 15 years. We used to live in Maine and would get them quite frequently, even finding them in the grocery store in the spring time when they were fresh from the creeks. Now I'm in Southern Ohio, and they don't even know what they are here. Enjoy them. Wish I could join you. Lots of love for me. Betty in Ohio.
