I bought one of these less than a year ago and already had it repaired twice by Nespresso. Now that they are no longer able to repair it, I'll be getting my money back. They offered to replace it and maintain the 1 WEEK of warranty. Not interested in being ripped off. Nespresso told me (more than a few times) that Australian law does not fit with their policies and procedures. I'm sure the ACCC will be interested in that. Comparing 5 things you should NOT buy is hardy useful. Opinion = Nespresso is Overpriced junk.
The Vertuo machines are cheaper because they use the patented Vertuo pods, which you can only get from Nespresso, while the original line pods are not patented so you can get them from 3rd party sellers for less money. They prefer you buy a cheap machine, just so they can continue selling you expensive pods.
Cafe quality is not possible with Nespresso but the closest would be creatista because of the barista style milk frothing

Machines are independent from Nespresso, which machine did you purchase. Sounds like I should stay away from that one.

It's junk...and when I used up the coffee pods...I dumped it...sad
