I love it! When we changed the construction and went away from the wood, it brought so many obvious benefits. With over 1,600 units on the road made with the new materials, we have a lot of customers enjoying them.
I'm saving up for one of these now. I love the features at this price point, and with all that's happening, I want to be fully mobile. This was very informative...thank you!
I think you're really missing out by not having a 5x8 in addition to your 4x8 and 6x8, at least for the Venturist model. For people who off road or overland, both your models are a bit of a predicament. The 4x8 is great for maneuvering on trails and such, but it's not really large enough for two people to sleep comfortably for long periods of time. And the 6x8, while spacious, is just a tad too large for narrow trails that people will encounter. The 5x8 is a great compromise and is probably the reason so many overland trailers at these sizes are right around the 5' wide point.
Thank you sir & your entire team you caught our eye several years ago on 700 Club & were grateful with you & remain happy to see you all blessed! Lord willing we may own one someday... Shalom
Awesome, I love the new features. We had to sell our CoolCamp last year due to hard times we experienced from covid but things are looking good now and we are saving up for a Rangerunner. Thanks for the video.
Given the compact size and light weight you can expect only a minor reduction in fuel economy. With my 2009 Ford Ranger with 2.3L and 5 speed auto, I averaged 24 MPG pulling my Cool Camp. By comparison, without the trailer, I averaged 28 MPG.
What would really be a very nice improvement as well is a screen door. And an option to add a Maxx air fan to improve air circulation inside the camper.
love this camper, the owner is sincere, and puts his heart and soul into the company.this is a great camper and ive been looking for over a year on who im going to go with !!!! im sold and cant wait to get one up here in connecticut!!!
We are saving up too, for the Rouser, I have knee problems, and we are in our 60’s and need air conditioning here in Florida. Sure wish there were finance options, we would get one right away lol. Just paid off our home, but God willing it will happen. We love to camp, but it’s hard in our tent. If it’s meant to happen it will. Thank you
This is the kind of design, I have been waiting for ? Just plug 🔌 into a generator or electric outlet...Done 🤔 and the 6 by 8 makes sleeping easier 😴 and the prices makes it affordable ? Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed your video and I think 🤔 this will make camping 🏕 more affordable and fun...THANKS AGAIN
We use a hand dolly for pulling trailers, that you can get from harbor freight, around the shop. It makes it a lot easier. Thats also not a bad idea for a video. Thank you!
Steven, Will the new one piece roof cap on a V-Series support a MaxxAir Fan and Mini Vent similar to what Charles Moman installed on his 2020 model? Thinking about ordering one but would want definitive word from Runaway regarding the ability of new roof cap to support the MaxxAir Fan/Mini Vent. Would love to order a V-Series with pre-installed MaxxAir Fan but I understand that is not possible at this time so it is something I will need to do. Appreciate your time.
Bought a "Slider" from Runaway several years ago. It served our needs well. Problems we had were the a/c stopped cooling and had to be replaced. The other issue was in Florida rains the bed can fill to a point where standing water can swell and warp the front corners. The fix was not to park "downhill" so the rain didn't pool. Other than that, we had a great experience and traveled the US pretty much trouble free. We sold our truck a few years ago so had to sell the Slider. I COULD have put the Slider on a 4x8 trailer but that meant having to put it in storage as we lived in a Condominium. Condos don't like campers/trailers.
Due to the weight reduction from changing construction materials, will the RangeRunner now be able to be lifted at the hitch by hand, and moved about? That will be THE selling point for me, between the CoolCamp and the RR.
Can the roofrack hold a 125lbs rooftop tent safely? I have an i-kamper mini and it's a pain to disassemble every morning so we can use the car and setup the tent and it's annex again at end of the day.
I'm modifying mine for full-time living. Though the business owner has stated that these are not intended for that and are strictly for camping. Having said that I managed to install in my runaway a plastic toilet, plastic sink, plastic shower, and a bunk bed system all with running RV water and RV plumbing. Anything is possible! And these runaways are soo versatile in their simplicity you CAN almost do anything with them.
Aluminum frames & aluminum wheels tend to crack and are not as reliable long term. Steel does rust more but it's only really surface rust for the most part. Just a little care and maintenance cleaning and coating will go a long way.
Can a 2012 Ford Fusion AWD Sport, 263 hp tow the bigger one with ease? Would this stress the Fusions frame, engine and reliability over time? I'll order one of these right away if it's a viable match with my lil' ol' Fusion. Only have 42000 miles on her and it's paid for!
I like these models. I only wish you would create a version with European running gear (chassis, 50mm ball coupler), inertia brakes (overrun brakes) and European lighting in order to meet regulations in the country that I am in. I have a cargo trailer made by Trailer Europe (Hungary) which uses KNOTT running gear.
No wood in construction? This jumped to the top of my small camper must see list. Plus ac built in. Love it!

Love Runaway Campers! Been part of the family since 2015. If my 2015 model ever wears out (which I doubt) I will buy one of these new ones!
What about mold issue???

By far my most favorite purchase of my lifetime!! Thank you, Runaway!!
Thank you!

We are looking into roof vent fans as an option
Although I like the fan idea I really hate having a hole in a roof. Maybe a thin fan in the inside over a window ?
@@kevintrevors3921A fan mounted beside the air conditioner is optional
Dunno what it is, but I really like these. I've seen some with the cubby storage. That's a great space saving concept.

Ordering mine next week. Just me and my son so the 4x8 will be just fine.
Welcome to the Runaway family!
I like the new electrical hook up.

Can't do a 4x8, but a 5x8 is doable for me; 6x8 would be best.
Exciting changes! I can see myself in one of these campers!!!
We are very excited about the new Changes for 2021!
Love it guys! I plan to stay tuned and share with family. If zi had camper like this, my animals videos would be further out in the woods...Lol 🤗❤️👍🏾💯
Could you make a video of someone moving the cool camp rangerunner by hand and what is used that would really help us single women

I’d like to see more of that truck slide-in model from a few years ago.

We no longer offer the slide in model for purchase but thank you for the feedback
Wish the rouser would make a comeback!! I had to sell my Range Runner because we just weren't doing well without being able to stand up.
We plan on releasing a new Rouser model in the next few months!
I wish and they could do a 75 inch wide Range Runner on the inside. It would be great for tall people like me
I wish you'd do one of these with a pop-up tent on top!
They recently unveiled a model for pop-up installations. I think it's called the "Venturist XS" ???
th-cam.com/video/skTD4Zjo8fA/w-d-xo.html
Besides the AC, how are these vented??
Teardrop and small trailers can be deadly without proper venting
Love the updates yall! Great Job!
Needs a maxi fan desperately. Otherwise, great little camper.
U should make a 6 x10
Maybe in the future!
Can we come check them out? Im in St Augustine. Thinking about picking one up for my landscape photography trips, but would love to have a look.
You are more than welcome to stop by our sales lot !
@@runawaycampers Thanks guys, may bring the family down to take a look soon.

Why not just roll with around on the down roller Jack?
Thanks Stephen for the overview.
Thanks for watching!
One quick question… what is that material on the interior ceiling? Is that carpet material?
do you guys offer a maxfan as an addition?
Can the roofrack hold a 125lbs rooftop tent safely? I have an i-kamper mini and it's a pain to disassemble every morning so we can use the car and setup the tent and it's annex again at end of the day.
is the rangerunner fitting into a standard door garage?
Did i miss something? Or is there no access to slide in a real mattress?
Do you have a dealership in California? I read this somewhere.
How much weight can the roof take? The rear hitch? Thanks
Can you install electric brakes on the range runner? If yes, then how much will it cost to add electric brakes ?
Yes we can add electric brakes as an option for an additional 350. We hardly add brakes because the RangeRunner is so light at 765lbs
Really not needed for something that light, right?
Can’t wait to get one. Anybody know what the lead time is?
12 weeks. That is pretty good considering everyone is buying campers at the moment.
Current build time is 12 weeks
@@runawaycampers Thanks!
How much do they weigh empty, and what's the tongue weight empty? Is anyone pulling them with motorcycles?
Yes how much? I have 2021 Kona.
It would be nice to make 8x10 under 7feet tall.....off road....
Is it possible to full time live in one of these ? Seriously thinking about it. I wouldn't mind at all
There are a couple TH-cam videos of people living in a runaway full time

Can I pull one with a 2016 honda civic
Should not have a problem pulling the CoolCamp 4x8 model
@@runawaycampers Thank you what about a fully loaded cool camp? What does that weigh?
You really need to move to an aluminum frame, mine is getting a little rust along the edge where the body meets
Aluminum frames & aluminum wheels tend to crack and are not as reliable long term. Steel does rust more but it's only really surface rust for the most part. Just a little care and maintenance cleaning and coating will go a long way.
@runaway So are they wood free floor now? My concern is carpenter ants and water where I live
I cut through the floor on mine and it's made of the same plastic stuff as the walls. You should be okay.
This is what i would buy if didnt already have so much stuff in driveway :)
We are here if you make room! 😄
@@runawaycampers could you make the 4x8 off-road with 2 doors? And without the A/C unit? Love the setup.
What is the amp service on the stock run away?
15amp, standard 110v plug
How long does it take it to order and make a trailer ?
I was told just last week it would be around 22 weeks. Hope that helps. :)

600lbs could be pulled by a Prius safely
Actually your hitch would be rated for 1000 lb Towing, 250 lb hitch weight
Good advice! But I humbly traded in my Fusion for a '21 Tacoma Sport.
No ventilation fan? Does it have suspension?
Leaf springs
What's the weight capacity of that roof rack?
300lbs dynamic weight rating
Very Nice 👍👍
I’m guessing it would vary from state to state, but would something like this be something you have to pay property taxes on?
We have not heard of needing to pay property taxes on a Runaway. Every states varies on how much they charge to register a trailer
you would in Virginia

Nope
