Thank you for the Video on the Weld86 skid plate. I picked up a 2021 Vstrom with the Givi skid plate and it is very light duty aluminum, and I would like something made od steel protecting the bottom of the bike. I also like how accessible the oil filter and oil drain are. Thank you.
SWEET! A skid plate I can use with my stock cover! (That I really like) What I'm going to buy to replace my cheap-azz GIVI skid plate. I broke one of the brackets and GIVI told me they can't be replaced REGARDLESS if they have part numbers for the brackets!
I believe that the weld 86 skid plate will fit both thethousand and the 650, but you probably need to ask the guy I believe his name is Charlie who runs the world in 86 website, so just check out the world 86 website put that in Google and you’ll find his website and you can ask him directly
Would have liked to have actually seen you install the skid plate step by step. The video jumped ahead to save time but we never saw you install the plate at all of the key places
John, it’s only 2 bolts and there are other videos on TH-cam showing them installed, I felt I’d just be rehashing something else someone had already done. My main point of the video was that you can reuse the engine guard with a slight modification if installing the Weld86 skid plate.
I wonder if it would clear the Akro 3/4 exhaust. I already could not install a T. rex adjustable centerstand because of the Akro exhaust but sure sounds good
