  • Healthier Versions recipes for macronutrient restrictions. I share these recipes because I know what it's like to live with dietary restrictions. Because of this eating lifestyle I have been able to avoid being put on 4 medications, maintain a 17-pound weight loss, maintain a blood pressure range of the mid 120's to the low 130's, as well as maintain an a1c in the low 5's.
    Today's recipe is very delicious and easy to make. I used a new flour called Lupin which is made from an Australian bean called Lupini. It is very high in fiber which is known for blocking carbs. I must say that these brownie bites are terrific for a light snack. The only problem is that they taste so good that it's hard to eat just one. The Healthy highlights and Recipe are as follows:
    Fudge Brownie Bites
    16 Servings
    Healthy Highlights
    Cals=131.4 SatFat=3.4 Chol=40.8 Sodium=70.8 Carbs=13.2
    Fiber=2.6 Sugar=10.2 Protein=3.3 Net Carbs=10.6
    Ingredients
    Lupin Flour 1 cup
    Brown Sugar 1 cup
    Date Sugar 1 cup
    Cocoa Powder ⅔ cup
    Kosher Salt ½ tsp
    Unsalted Butter (1 stick) 8 tbs
    Margarine (1 stick-Imperial) 8 tbs
    Eggs 4 lg
    Directions
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    Spray 9x11 pan with cake spray or use parchment paper
    Combine dry ingredients
    Melt butter and margarine then add to dry mixture
    Stir eggs blending well (will be thick)
    Pour batter into pan spreading evenly
    Bake 28 minutes (tester will have moist crumbs when done)
    Cool for 10 minutes
    Cut into 24 squares
    Enjoy!!!

    My understanding is there is no nutritive difference defined by the shell color of chicken eggs. The shell color is determined by the type of the chicken laying the eggs. And white egg shells naturally have a blue-ish green hue. They are bleached white commercially.
