I watched this review & many more, I didn’t let this put me off & ordered one yesterday & received it today in perfect condition, fitted to my Hex crossbow & guys I can’t fault it apart from no locking ring on rear focus & dust cap won’t stay in place once I’d adjusted focus, nothing insulating tape couldn’t fix, it zeroed very quickly & holds it, I can even see in the dark with it & will do my own review of it over weekend.

Unbelievable, had a scope from Tasso, lens came loose and tilted, scope was 7 years old and the company sent me a brand new replacement, hard to believe a company won’t honor their own warranty, printed in black and white but thank you for the information about this company and the way they do business…
I have one of their Hd4-16X44 FFP optics on my Remington 783 chambered in .308 I have shot almost 1000 rounds at 500 plus yards with the same Scope and never had any issues whatsoever . I would definitely recommend them , I'm sorry you had a bad experience but as we all know that can happen with some of the most expensive products let alone a discount optic.
*read to the end* my 2c; i have two of them. one on a 5.56 and .308. so far so good, thankfully. need another scope for a new build, so back searching. thinking i have just go SFP this time. not sure. just to help round things out, im pretty happy with these $140 scopes. its not $1k glass by any means, but it could be worse lol edit: after looking over mine i realized there is no zero reset on the turrets, just locking in place. cant find anything in the "manual". i had to unscrew the cap that has the R/L U/D arrows, then you can reset the cap position. *2nd edit: o boy. I figured i would check the tracking. I made a paper with .9" marks, so 1mil = .9" @ 25yds. Used the tape measure to mark off 75ft. Plumb lined the paper, lined the scope up. Scope marks are WAY off. 1mil reads 1.5mils on the reticle. 4mils reads 5.6 mills on the reticle. Well f*ck. I bought them a while back so there's no returning them either. The elevation turret did track correctly, 40 clicks was 4 mils. Hold over lines/distance measurement lines are useless
I bought one of these in 4-16FFP about 4 months ago and I am very happy with it with no issues. Good clarity, good clicks. Only criticism I can make is that elevation adjustment range is a little limited. This scope that you are reviewing is clearly a defective one which I would suggest does not reflective of the majority. I do agree with you that the customer support you received is totally inadequate and unacceptable but realistically you can't expect to get the same as as a scope costing many times as much.
Are the reticle dark and thick? If I aim up a tree can I still see the reticle...I don't like the thin lines..looking for a good scope 4 my airgun...I like the black hound optic
Oh, chinese junk apologists are already here. Listen, nobody cares that it works for you. We all already know that some chinese stuff can work well for their price. Its not about it. Its not the majority of the cases but people absolutely need to know that their quality control and warranty is horrible, and you can realistically expect to get functional product or at least send it back on warranty on anything you buy. Hopefully you will now refund money for this scope and all the others that people got broken if you love to apologise for scummy companies like that.
I had this scope exact same model. the turret is not reliable but it gives me a good shock proof. so I don't mind that much because im not using the turrets dial. i just zero my scope at certain distance and then holdover or under in my target. Good thing also here in the Philippines we've got a Westhunter Authorized distributor so claiming warranty is easy because distributor is very nice guy.
i wish i wouldve seen this video a year ago ..... but no, i bought one, its very "milky" to look through the lens, plus i am having elevation adjustment problems (as some of you have posted) i didnt notice it at first because i used the scope/gun in low light and short distance circumstances ...... anything on a bright day, past 50 or 60 yards, and im screwed ..... after seeing this video i know im screwed.
Oh no!! Well maybe they will take care of you as Im sure they have lost sales over this video (rightfully so) so maybe they have done the right thing and started taking care of their customers.. Thanks for watching..
@@TheHide well ........ i guess miracles do happen, they finally got back to me and after a stressful exchange of emails they honored my ONE YEAR warranty (after 10 and a half months) they sent me a new scope, same magnification same bells and whistles, but the scope is new and improved, it looks slightly different but its MUCH clearer (thank god it wasnt my eyes lol) AND, the parallax adjusts down to 10 yards where as the old one couldnt focus closer than 20 or so, now,..... im still having elevation issues, but at this point im fine with 4 or 5 layers of painters tape under the rear scope mount to make up the difference. (you can buy adjustable scope rings also) i guess i owe westhunter an apology, they did all they could, to make it right.
This could work for a select few and small caliber rifles. Just don't expect that this will hold for a bigger caliber than a 223/556 or have a good customer service. Any entry level scopes, I would choose Vortex and no one else. I've had vortex since 2010 and they never failed to amaze me with their customer service. I have vortex scopes ranging from $300 all the way to $2,000 and the features and customer service you get out of, is second to none...
I’ve had one of these on my AK-47 for six months no issues. I put it on a 44 magnum, lever action for hunting season holds up fine. Not this exact model, but that brand.
Very interesting video review, and an unsettling one at that. I have recently bought two sets of mounts from this brand via eBay, having been unable to attach my Hawke AirMax Touch scope to an Askelkon MX10S Bullpup. Long and short of it being the Hawke Mounts were Weaver ones and the Bullpup has what it call a NATO standard rail, that is a Picatinny Rail. Now there is a very exacting standard for the military 1913 Picatinny but now such exact standard for the Weaver system. The two aren’t necessarily interchangeable. That same set of Hawke Mounts however fitted my Zbroia Hortitsia .22 carbine like a glove. The Webhunter mounts went on to the Askelkon Bullpup equally easily and securely. My point is mounts are one thing and I have found no fault with WestHunter mounts, but based on your worrying review I will not consider buying any optics from these characters. Your review fits into, in my opinion, as value service to the international air gun community. Thank you for that.
I have one of their 4-16x50 units on an AR mk12 build, I've been very happy with it. Probably have 250-300 rounds down range with it, zero issues. I was hesitant to send money to IL, as I prefer to vote with my dollars. I liked the 16x unit so much, I bought a 6-24x50 unit to put on the shelf too. I have looked through the 24x model and cycled the adjustments without any problems, but I have not installed it on a rifle yet. I feel for you on the customer service problems, but at this price point, I'd take the half off offer. I was considering an Arken scope, but when 4 Westhunter scopes are less $, it's worth a dice toss.

Quite surprised, had nothing but good experiences with these. Cant say i bad to claim warrenty because it wasnt broken, but i did have a shipping issue with it lost in transit. They reshipped immeadiatly. The scope itself, tracking, clarity, features is pretty damn good.
I just got the HD-S 1.2-6x24 for free from Sonoran Desert Institute. Mine is fine out of the box. I agree their lack of willingness to resolve your issue makes me glad I didn't pay for it.

I have two of their scopes on my pcp air rifles with no issues. As a matter of fact, on one of my scopes they sent me a scope without the parallax wheel and I emailed them and within one week I had a new wheel. Man I sure hate that you had such bad luck.
I see on the largest "WestHunter" on the top of the box. However, I think on the bottom right where it is also in orange, I think it says "WestHUNER"...the 't' is missing? Thank you making this video. I never heard of this company until now.
I have had 4 of them on different rifles and these are at best 22LR scopes. They are great for pcp and even springers! Well Vortex gets the springer because “no questions asked” replacement. But for the same price maybe cheaper than $150 you can get Discovery HT 6-24x40 and it comes with a the same things “side wheel” “ rings” etc… YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! but I have never had any problems with my westhunter lpvo 4-16x44 , 10-40x56 ,6-24x50 or the 5-30x56 and they are all FFP
there must be something that he doesn't fully tell. no company generally refuses the guarantee in the event of a defective delivery. All over the internet you can almost only find positive reviews for these scopes. He may have approached the matter incorrectly and shared information that would void the warranty.
Have you checked if it is an original Westhunter Optics product? I am wondering about the changed name on the packaging - it says WESTHUNER OPTICS - the letter "T" is missing. On my telescope purchased on alliexpress from the distributor, there is an inscription WESTHUNTER OPTICS with the letter "T" ... Maybe that's why there's warranty issues.
I bought two of these exact scopes and they are totally fine, the glass is not great but they hold zero and work well otherwise. All things considered they were quite a good deal. After having those for a while I bought one of their lpvos from Ebay, the scope adjustments did nothing, turn them and they click but the reticle did not move. I contacted the seller, and they were very difficult to deal with but eventually did allow me to exchange it for another one, which turned out to be fine. I don't think these are a scam, the seller is just difficult to deal with. Should someone get one, mount it and test it immediately, and if it's bad exchange it. From your experience, there is no warranty really, but they did exchange mine shortly after purchase.

I once had a BSA 6x24x44 that had an internal focus problem. So I called their Florida corporate office. It was late in the day and the President of the co. answered the phone, " as the secretary had left", after I explained the issue, he asked for my contact information. Four days later a box shows up at my door. BSA sent me a new scope, a 60mm spotting, and a bore sighting kit. I was speechless. Now BSA scopes are ok for the price you pay, but I was impressed with them standing by their products, and going above and beyond what most companies would do. Thanks for this review, as I was looking at the West Hunter brand scopes. After hearing how you were treated, there's no way I'd buy one.
Yeah, I actually had really luck out of BSA also. I even sent a scope back for repair many years ago under their warranty and they took care of it no questions asked and they even paid for the shipping. This company here is an absolute joke... Thanks for watching!

I bought the 4-16 version a couple of years ago. In my experience, they're great scopes never had a problem with it and would certainly buy another one. I think you've just been unlucky.
If you went through Amazon, they would’ve replaced it. I have a couple of these LPVO‘s they have been amazing. Amazon, you don’t even need a reason you could just replace it.

I inquired to them about a zero stop on this particular scope and the reply I received was jibberish and so misspelled I had a hard time reading it. Made my mind up right then that this company was no longer in my list of possible purchases.
Holy Crap, I remember taking a hard look at these, but thought better of it and saved enough to buy a vortex diamondback tactical and love it. Thanx 4 the WARNING..
I'd totally just stay away from that brand who doesn't honor their warranty and gives such B.S. excuses and rip people off. Wouldn't be surprised if their adjustable scope rings probably damage your scopes too.
1. Why didn’t you raise a case through eBay? 2. If you paid by credit card, you could get your money back that way? I purchased a West Hunter scope from Amazon, rather than eBay, due to their returns policy. I still had issues with the seller when returning and they even tried to claim that items were missing. I soon put them in their place to get a full refund via Amazon. Steer well-clear of this company and their products!

Hi, I hope you payed for this using your creditcard. The reason for that is you can start a "chargeback" procedure against the seller for not delivering the agreed item or service YOU bought from them. Please give your creditcard issuer a call and I'm sure they will gladly help you. Please note the Chargeback MUST be initiated withing three to six months depending on your creditcard contract. My wife does chagebacks and creditcard-fraud stuff all day so in the stuff that I hear her en her collegues talk all day (working from home) I am sure you have a rock solid case as you also already gave the company the opportunity to fix this. It is YOUR hard earned money, and you are entitled to a good product. Please let me know how it went and how less effort it took you to get your money back.
The bigger problem is that a companies warranty policy is a chance for them to correct their mistakes and make better products but Westhunter doesn't seem to be interested in improving so they are dangerous to do business with. Dangerous you say? Yes, because they are selling products you use to protect your life and they simply DGAF. Not good.

If you open and ebay dispute then ebay may be able to refund you. If this fails, then if you payed through paypal then paypal can most definitely reimburse the cost as long as it's within the paypal time limit.
@@TheHide Sorry to hear that. It also helps to use PayPal even when purchasing on Ebay, as the PayPal window is open for a longer period. PayPal have helped solve many disputes I've had with awkward suppliers who were refusing to help and PayPal simply took the money back off the supplier and back into my account and I still got to keep the item.
I ordered two different westhunter scopes from Ebay 1. ( 4 x 16 FFP mil tremor reticle for my 6.5CM bolt. & 1x6 FFP LPVO For my 16" recce gas gun. The first thing I did once it came from China in the mail was to check the scopes for any defects right away. If there was, I could have taken advantage of the free replacement of said defective scope from the seller. Seems like you waited too long. That's on you. For the scopes functionality. The 4x16 has good glass . Good audible dials. Locking turrets. It holds zero with no issues. Have it for over a year on the same 6.5 bolt I couldn't be happier. For the 1x6 lpvo. Bdc works well and can hit steel out to 600yds. Actually, I'm purchasing a third for my SPR in 3x12 mill. Some food for thought, buddy. Don't wait 6 months to complain that the mfg isn't working with u. The seller would have replaced it... if u inspected it within the time state. Tuff break but a lesson learned.
I was in the process of buying one...but now I will invest elsewhere. I work too hard for my money to waste it on poor craftsmanship and/or poor customer service responding to poor craftsmanship.

Well, I decided that this was a one-off and bought the exact same scope. It arrived it was nice and light and looked ok. As soon as I lifted it to my eye, it was nice and bright but blurry, so started to adjust the diopter. Could I get it to focus, errr no took it outside, and then I noticed the diopter was cloudy on the inside and se sort of fungas appeared to be growing like you I contacted west hunter and to no surprise they have gone silent not a peep out of them I used pay pal so I will get a refund in around 3 week I just got to go with the flow never again will I buy west hunter I will stick to hawke at least they honour there guarantee I had one that failed after 4 years of use all they wanted was proof of purchase as soon as I sent that off to hawke a week later a new scope was sent out and I never even sent the old one back. West hunter you can kiss my sweaty ass
I cant belive you reveiw the entire scope and didnt mount it and shoot it in. I get it tgat it broke, but that happens. You claim that you wasted a MONTH on a $100 scoop. Ive seen a lot of other reviews and thier scoop waz amazing. Maybe you should get past it and try again? Better luck next time.

@HereXEG There is no way I would give them one dime for another one when they wouldnt honor the warranty for the one I bought. But dont worry this exact scope will be featured in one last video before I officially retire it..
WestHunter and Monstrom Tactical are the absolute worst brands to buy, they simply won't stay reliably zeroed and you can't really trust them. Another quality control issue brand is Arken which is also all Chinese even with their EP5 but at least Arken in the US takes care of their unhappy customers for now. The other companies like to screw their customers over big time doesn't matter if warranty or not they will not make it right and you lost your money. Wouldn't be too bad if they cost $50 then you can just buy a new one after they break but they cost $140 - $300 and much better off buying a Vortex at least they have their hassle free no questions asked lifetime warranty. The WestHunter adjustable rings are absolute rubbish too and won't stay put. The Chinese think we are really stupid I guess. They already made their money after fooling each and every one of us at least once though. Stick with Vortex and Athlon for Chinese scopes, at least their lifetime warranty covers any issues and are definitely worth spending a little extra money for the added piece of mind. It's insane to buy any scope that doesn't have a no questions hassle free lifetime warranty. It's just like throwing away your money after it breaks.
@@billycarr1254 You are very lucky. We ran into issues of them not being able to keep a reliable zero and these were several them and not just one. At that time we switched to Vortex and held zero with no tracking hiccups except for the lense coatings bubbling.
@@commonsense5709 Maybe, maybe not... I bought it after seeing 704Tactical's TH-cam review and it works as recommended. I've run into budget-minded shooters at the range with Monstrum scopes and I haven't heard any complaints. I also have a 4-12 Vortex scope and while it's better than the Monstrum, it's not by much.
Got one of the 1.2-6x24 ones in the mail for my SDI course. All I can say is the thing is TRASH. The throw lever feels super loose, the eye box is super tight, and the reticle is in mils, but the adjustments are in moa. I'm just going to give the damn thing away. Avoid ADE OPTICS!!! You think you had bad customer service, they sent me a picture that showed their 50 mm scope having a 500 yard hard parallax before infinity, some thing I actually need. Found out that had I spent one dollar more I would’ve gotten the illuminated optic with Wingate, 500 hard parallax, everything I was looking for. When I sent a message to them on eBay, the guy literally pulled the “ Oops my bad sorry about that. Best of luck to you.” on me I sent a message to their corporate offices because it’s their corporate eBay page got a reply, saying my claim was in review, and it would be responded to within eight weeks lol. Needless to say I was unable to qualify I had an event with said scope. I made numerous attempts to contact them via phone, email, eBay, no response! The sad part is most of the guys I know our law enforcement officers, we’ve set up our own distance tournament takes place four times a year I’ve won the last six, my Crimson trace took a crap on me a week before the event, I was forced to buy a cheaper item just so I would be able to shoot. Most of the guys I know use. ADE pistol optics, after I posted the incident on thin blue business this is probably going to change now! I have always been a crimson trace, and fire fly guy, I’ll be sticking with them

Are use a rubber band when I have to adjust the far back of the optic, it holds the cap extremely well, and if you use black, it cannot be seen

@@TheHide well ........ i guess miracles do happen, they finally got back to me and after a stressful exchange of emails they honored my ONE YEAR warranty (after 10 and a half months) they sent me a new scope, same magnification same bells and whistles, but the scope is new and improved, it looks slightly different but its MUCH clearer (thank god it wasnt my eyes lol) AND, the parallax adjusts down to 10 yards where as the old one couldnt focus closer than 20 or so, now,..... im still having elevation issues, but at this point im fine with 4 or 5 layers of painters tape under the rear scope mount to make up the difference. (you can buy adjustable scope rings also) i guess i owe westhunter an apology, they did all they could, to make it right.

This could work for a select few and small caliber rifles. Just don't expect that this will hold for a bigger caliber than a 223/556 or have a good customer service. Any entry level scopes, I would choose Vortex and no one else. I've had vortex since 2010 and they never failed to amaze me with their customer service. I have vortex scopes ranging from $300 all the way to $2,000 and the features and customer service you get out of, is second to none...
Primary arms has vortex clones that usually cost less and dont skimp on glass or features
I’ve had one of these on my AK-47 for six months no issues. I put it on a 44 magnum, lever action for hunting season holds up fine. Not this exact model, but that brand.
Very interesting video review, and an unsettling one at that.
I have recently bought two sets of mounts from this brand via eBay, having been unable to attach my Hawke AirMax Touch scope to an Askelkon MX10S Bullpup.
Long and short of it being the Hawke Mounts were Weaver ones and the Bullpup has what it call a NATO standard rail, that is a Picatinny Rail. Now there is a very exacting standard for the military 1913 Picatinny but now such exact standard for the Weaver system. The two aren’t necessarily interchangeable.
That same set of Hawke Mounts however fitted my Zbroia Hortitsia .22 carbine like a glove.
The Webhunter mounts went on to the Askelkon Bullpup equally easily and securely.
My point is mounts are one thing and I have found no fault with WestHunter mounts, but based on your worrying review I will not consider buying any optics from these characters. Your review fits into, in my opinion, as value service to the international air gun community. Thank you for that.
I have one of their 4-16x50 units on an AR mk12 build, I've been very happy with it. Probably have 250-300 rounds down range with it, zero issues. I was hesitant to send money to IL, as I prefer to vote with my dollars. I liked the 16x unit so much, I bought a 6-24x50 unit to put on the shelf too. I have looked through the 24x model and cycled the adjustments without any problems, but I have not installed it on a rifle yet.
I feel for you on the customer service problems, but at this price point, I'd take the half off offer. I was considering an Arken scope, but when 4 Westhunter scopes are less $, it's worth a dice toss.

Quite surprised, had nothing but good experiences with these. Cant say i bad to claim warrenty because it wasnt broken, but i did have a shipping issue with it lost in transit. They reshipped immeadiatly. The scope itself, tracking, clarity, features is pretty damn good.

I have two of their scopes on my pcp air rifles with no issues. As a matter of fact, on one of my scopes they sent me a scope without the parallax wheel and I emailed them and within one week I had a new wheel. Man I sure hate that you had such bad luck.

I have had 4 of them on different rifles and these are at best 22LR scopes. They are great for pcp and even springers! Well Vortex gets the springer because “no questions asked” replacement. But for the same price maybe cheaper than $150 you can get Discovery HT 6-24x40 and it comes with a the same things “side wheel” “ rings” etc… YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! but I have never had any problems with my westhunter lpvo 4-16x44 , 10-40x56 ,6-24x50 or the 5-30x56 and they are all FFP

there must be something that he doesn't fully tell. no company generally refuses the guarantee in the event of a defective delivery. All over the internet you can almost only find positive reviews for these scopes. He may have approached the matter incorrectly and shared information that would void the warranty.

Makes me glad I hit the arken sale got 4 epl4s 2, 4x16 of those an 2, 6-24s no more scope buying for me.
I bought two of these exact scopes and they are totally fine, the glass is not great but they hold zero and work well otherwise. All things considered they were quite a good deal. After having those for a while I bought one of their lpvos from Ebay, the scope adjustments did nothing, turn them and they click but the reticle did not move. I contacted the seller, and they were very difficult to deal with but eventually did allow me to exchange it for another one, which turned out to be fine. I don't think these are a scam, the seller is just difficult to deal with. Should someone get one, mount it and test it immediately, and if it's bad exchange it. From your experience, there is no warranty really, but they did exchange mine shortly after purchase.

I once had a BSA 6x24x44 that had an internal focus problem. So I called their Florida corporate office. It was late in the day and the President of the co. answered the phone, " as the secretary had left", after I explained the issue, he asked for my contact information. Four days later a box shows up at my door. BSA sent me a new scope, a 60mm spotting, and a bore sighting kit. I was speechless. Now BSA scopes are ok for the price you pay, but I was impressed with them standing by their products, and going above and beyond what most companies would do. Thanks for this review, as I was looking at the West Hunter brand scopes. After hearing how you were treated, there's no way I'd buy one.
Yeah, I actually had really luck out of BSA also. I even sent a scope back for repair many years ago under their warranty and they took care of it no questions asked and they even paid for the shipping. This company here is an absolute joke... Thanks for watching!

I bought the 4-16 version a couple of years ago. In my experience, they're great scopes never had a problem with it and would certainly buy another one. I think you've just been unlucky.

I inquired to them about a zero stop on this particular scope and the reply I received was jibberish and so misspelled I had a hard time reading it. Made my mind up right then that this company was no longer in my list of possible purchases.

I'd totally just stay away from that brand who doesn't honor their warranty and gives such B.S. excuses and rip people off. Wouldn't be surprised if their adjustable scope rings probably damage your scopes too.

I purchased a West Hunter scope from Amazon, rather than eBay, due to their returns policy. I still had issues with the seller when returning and they even tried to claim that items were missing. I soon put them in their place to get a full refund via Amazon. Steer well-clear of this company and their products!
It was to late after I ordered to do anything through eBay. It takes a while for me to get videos done sometimes and I paid for it this time. Oh well, just hope this vid helps out others so they dont make the same mistake. Thanks for watching!

Hi, I hope you payed for this using your creditcard. The reason for that is you can start a "chargeback" procedure against the seller for not delivering the agreed item or service YOU bought from them. Please give your creditcard issuer a call and I'm sure they will gladly help you. Please note the Chargeback MUST be initiated withing three to six months depending on your creditcard contract. My wife does chagebacks and creditcard-fraud stuff all day so in the stuff that I hear her en her collegues talk all day (working from home) I am sure you have a rock solid case as you also already gave the company the opportunity to fix this. It is YOUR hard earned money, and you are entitled to a good product. Please let me know how it went and how less effort it took you to get your money back.
Refund through your credit card company and just throw that scope away.

The bigger problem is that a companies warranty policy is a chance for them to correct their mistakes and make better products but Westhunter doesn't seem to be interested in improving so they are dangerous to do business with. If you open and ebay dispute then ebay may be able to refund you. If this fails, then if you payed through paypal then paypal can most definitely reimburse the cost as long as it's within the paypal time limit.

@@TheHide Sorry to hear that. It also helps to use PayPal even when purchasing on Ebay, as the PayPal window is open for a longer period. PayPal have helped solve many disputes I've had with awkward suppliers who were refusing to help and PayPal simply took the money back off the supplier and back into my account and I still got to keep the item.

I ordered two different westhunter scopes from Ebay 1. ( 4 x 16 FFP mil tremor reticle for my 6.5CM bolt. & 1x6 FFP LPVO For my 16" recce gas gun. The first thing I did once it came from China in the mail was to check the scopes for any defects right away. If there was, I could have taken advantage of the free replacement of said defective scope from the seller. Seems like you waited too long. That's on you.
For the scopes functionality.
The 4x16 has good glass . Good audible dials. Locking turrets.
It holds zero with no issues. Have it for over a year on the same 6.5 bolt I couldn't be happier.
For the 1x6 lpvo. Bdc works well and can hit steel out to 600yds.
Actually, I'm purchasing a third for my SPR in 3x12 mill.
Some food for thought, buddy. Don't wait 6 months to complain that the mfg isn't working with u. The seller would have replaced it... if u inspected it within the time state.

Well, I decided that this was a one-off and bought the exact same scope. It arrived it was nice and light and looked ok. As soon as I lifted it to my eye, it was nice and bright but blurry, so started to adjust the diopter. Could I get it to focus, errr no took it outside, and then I noticed the diopter was cloudy on the inside and se sort of fungas appeared to be growing like you I contacted west hunter and to no surprise they have gone silent not a peep out of them I used pay pal so I will get a refund in around 3 week I just got to go with the flow never again will I buy west hunter I will stick to hawke at least they honour there guarantee I had one that failed after 4 years of use all they wanted was proof of purchase as soon as I sent that off to hawke a week later a new scope was sent out and I never even sent the old one back. West hunter you can kiss my sweaty ass

WestHunter and Monstrom Tactical are the absolute worst brands to buy, they simply won't stay reliably zeroed and you can't really trust them. Another quality control issue brand is Arken which is also all Chinese even with their EP5 but at least Arken in the US takes care of their unhappy customers for now. The other companies like to screw their customers over big time doesn't matter if warranty or not they will not make it right and you lost your money. Wouldn't be too bad if they cost $50 then you can just buy a new one after they break but they cost $140 - $300 and much better off buying a Vortex at least they have their hassle free no questions asked lifetime warranty. The WestHunter adjustable rings are absolute rubbish too and won't stay put. The Chinese think we are really stupid I guess. They already made their money after fooling each and every one of us at least once though. Stick with Vortex and Athlon for Chinese scopes, at least their lifetime warranty covers any issues and are definitely worth spending a little extra money for the added piece of mind. It's insane to buy any scope that doesn't have a no questions hassle free lifetime warranty. It's just like throwing away your money after it breaks.
Hmm? I've had a Monstrum 3-9x32 for three years with absolutely zero problems.
@@billycarr1254 You are very lucky. We ran into issues of them not being able to keep a reliable zero and these were several them and not just one. At that time we switched to Vortex and held zero with no tracking hiccups except for the lense coatings bubbling.
@@commonsense5709 Maybe, maybe not... I bought it after seeing 704Tactical's TH-cam review and it works as recommended. I've run into budget-minded shooters at the range with Monstrum scopes and I haven't heard any complaints. I also have a 4-12 Vortex scope and while it's better than the Monstrum, it's not by much.

Got one of the 1.2-6x24 ones in the mail for my SDI course. All I can say is the thing is TRASH. The throw lever feels super loose, the eye box is super tight, and the reticle is in mils, but the adjustments are in moa. I'm just going to give the damn thing away. Avoid ADE OPTICS!!! You think you had bad customer service, they sent me a picture that showed their 50 mm scope having a 500 yard hard parallax before infinity, some thing I actually need. Found out that had I spent one dollar more I would’ve gotten the illuminated optic with Wingate, 500 hard parallax, everything I was looking for. When I sent a message to them on eBay, the guy literally pulled the “ Oops my bad sorry about that. Best of luck to you.” on me I sent a message to their corporate offices because it’s their corporate eBay page got a reply, saying my claim was in review, and it would be responded to within eight weeks lol. Needless to say I was unable to qualify I had an event with said scope. I made numerous attempts to contact them via phone, email, eBay, no response! The sad part is most of the guys I know our law enforcement officers, we’ve set up our own distance tournament takes place four times a year I’ve won the last six, my Crimson trace took a crap on me a week before the event, I was forced to buy a cheaper item just so I would be able to shoot. Most of the guys I know use. ADE pistol optics, after I posted the incident on thin blue business this is probably going to change now! I have always been a crimson trace, and fire fly guy, I’ll be sticking with them
