- Here's a version of the song "Siege of Madrigal" from the Myth games (and the hidden song throughout the Halo games and the Halo CE soundtrack) created using Garageband (with Orchestra Jam Pack). Enjoy!

Good times Halo, we had some good times. Honestly even if it is a rare song it holds a nostalgic feel both from hearing it in the past and it just being the sorrowful type of song that signifies time past/memories.
I played myth the fallen lords in 1997 this song played at the end of the game and hearing this in halo literally gives me chills and this version will always be my favourite
@@bevinrandomdude2722 My brother. I played that too and I can see how the two fit. Carry on.
This song is a reference to one of the greatest games of all time. One of those moments in time where a company creates something original and something that no one ever looks at trying to do again because they honor it too much to even begin attempting to recreate that same epic feeling.
Madrigal fell to the undead, to the Fallen Lords. But its memory lives on with those who remember; those who led the legion onward toward victory and crushed their leader with only thirty souls...
The bass starting at 2:45 or 3:15 is killing me every time... so perfect.
1:37 too
HALO: CE was truly a legend. I've never just sat at an intro for so long, listening to the music. The mythology of finding this ancient abandoned ring. crash landing on it. fighting aliens the whole time. making your way to the control room. unearthing a deadly ancient virus. finding the Index and going to the library deep withing the ring structure. and finally racing away as it blows up, because you blew it up.
so many damn feels.
Making it off the ring by shear will and luck. Realizing it's only just begun. Taking off your helmet to get some air while your best friend gets found on the scanners of debris... Wondering where to go from there and what to do next... yea. Amazing. 2001 was one heck of a year. I was 7 years old. But I grew up a lot and well thanks to what I experienced in that world and game.

Just here in quarantine.
When you sit and listen to this, you can almost feel as if Human-Covenant War was an actual battle. It can get such heart-wrenching emotions from the bottom of your soul... you listen and you feel as if we lost soldiers to the Covenant. Though it isn't reality, the souls of those lost in this fictional battle echoes within our hearts. They shall not be forgotten, and Halo fans shall forever honor them.
If you research it or read some of the books, you'l discover that Halo has a fictional Universe that rivals Star Wars, Star Trek and things like that. I'll forever remember Halo: CE for bringing popular FPS to consoles, Halo 2 for bringing the outstanding multiplayer, Halo 3 for the amazing Forge and community updates, and Reach for all three and more.
Bungie really went out with a bang....
Greatest song in halo history. Me and my friends have been practicing playing this at our school. One day, we shall play in honor of those that have created such a wonderful franchise that has changed our lives. I owe my life to you halo, you picked me up when i was down and helped me forget my worst memories. Thank you.
This listening to this version every night before sleep, i love it! Brings so many memories..
Martin O'Donell and Michael Salvatori in my minds are the two greatest men in the music industrie and one th best things ever to happen to halo. to continuesly come with this great music time and time again is just just amazing. i absolutely love their work, and ThomasProductions great work on the piano
I love this song so much that I feel like sharing it with the world. I bet if the world heard songs like these, they would think about all the bad that they have caused and they would want to change. Change themselves, and change their lives, and change the world.
Thank you for posting this. I love this song. This is the best Siege of Madrigal video on TH-cam.
I remember, I was 6 years old when I first played Halo, it was epic. I went to my cousin's house every year to play it. We were majorly kicking asses. We had lots of good time. We bought every Halo games and finished them all. Now, the series came to an end. Remember Reach, keep playing Halo and peace out.
Remember when there was a tomorrow? Remember Reach, I can't help but think of the war start top finish when I hear this song. Great job one of the best versions I have heard.
I don't know if anyone else agrees with me, but the Halo series has one of the best soundtracks in the gaming Industries.
I love the beautiful sound that these songs give, but I also love the tension caused when a more upbeat song is played.
I will always admire these songs, as well as the composer, transposer and everyone else who worked hard in creating this.
Amazing. Just amazing. I feel as though I should share this wonderful piece with everyone I encounter. I almost want to cry.
Beautiful ... Its the first time I hear it... and I think I'll listen it again and again and again ...
This track is making me real nostalgic, used to listen to this track everytime i went to sleep about 7 years ago.
This is the sadist version if the song I've ever heard,(It now my favorite version). This song made me teach myself piano and now I have this song and Never Forget memorized.
This is remixed in Reach when you find the club easter egg. There's a switch on top of the building and when you hit it and fly back down the remixed version is played.
Simply beautiful.
Out of the various Halo games I've played (all except Wars, though I did enjoy the demo) ... I feel my favorite would have to be ODST. I feel like the story was a bit light, and the characters were a bit simple, but they were just "fun" to watch in a way that was so much more than the sum of its parts. The nighttime segments of the game had a gorgeous unspoken narrative that did with simple atmosphere and music what Bioware does with exposition. Loved New Mombasa.
this is a good song. It made me cry........ I can't belive a simple song can be so powerful.
The Halo games and the music from the games have always touched me emotionally. It makes me think that I should be happy for life. That I shoud be grateful for everything that I have been given. This song is great. I want this played at my funeral. Thank you Martin O'Donnel and Michael Salvatori. Thank you Bungie. Thank you for everything. Thank you for teaching us all that courage comes from within, whether you're a genetically enhanced super soldier or not.
This song brings back memories. I remember playing the original Halos when they were still the buzz. Long live Halo 2.
343 industries should not have made halo 2 anniversary the original halo 2 is like a Egyptian phareo it should not be distributed
Deborah Hembree I enjoyed Halo 2 Anniversary. The only thing I disliked was its re-"mastered" soundtrack.
this song made me remember all of the fun times in all of the halo games how we waved goodbye to master cheif we started anew with reach all of those fun times finished, gone of course the games will still be around but its just sad knowing its finished when they were at the peek of their popularity and it all just crashed i realy feel strongly about this so from me to you bungie and master chief cortana and halo i say thank you, you served your purpose and i will miss you goodbye forever friend
I listen to this song whenever I feel all washed up and that my world is going to fall into a dark void. This song helps me think that it will always be the darkest before the dawn of a new day. It will get better from here.
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music i have ever heard.
I wish there was some sheet music for it in this key. All I can find is a version that could easily fit on just one page. This is a lot better, and I congratulate the creator.
Wake me when you need me... I imagine this playing after h's cryo chamber activates and he sleeps again while Cortana enters middle stages of rampancy, hoping he will survive.
all the halo music is amazing! and remember me how great is this game! :D
I almost cried and I haven't cried in years... Long live halo and long live bungie!!!!!
the siege of madrigal makes me think of all the great times that ive had on halo and that its gonna come to a end :'(
Oh dang, this version is good...
What would I do without you Bungie? Honestly, life wouldn't be worth living. Your games and your community has distracted me from all horrible things from life, and I've learned to just sit back and relax playing Halo with friends.
Truly, I wouldn't be without you. May your world domination plans someday be fulfilled.
And I speak from all of your fans when I say this, and they all agree:
my ears are crying. my eyes are drinking in the paintings. my mouth, opens but no sound comes out ... i am lost for words ...
Die? Don't you know, Spartans never die!
Let us remember halo through our hearts forever and wait for many more.
Never forget halo. Remember reach
Its been one hell of a ride Bungie, thanks for the memories
I first heard this in the Tribute Room in Reach. The setting fit so perfectly, I can't describe it.
Although I really like the simplicity of the original, this version is indeed pretty neat.
Bungie has been a big influence in my life, ever since the release of halo. I have been a die hard fan to them, and will not abandon them. They gave us quality games, that will turn into classics. They have given us cherished moments with friends, that will become memories. They gave us halo. They has given us lovable characters, a rich plot, and a one of a kind game. They has given us the feeling of joy, and compassion, to those that don't. Bungie has given us memories that will last eternal
This actually plays at the end of the theme 'Halo' in Combat evolved if one listens long enough...although in a different key.
It's beautiful.
halo shall always live deep in our hearts for ever after
Nostalgia 😔
Love this song since the first time i heard it like 15 years ago, no piece can capture the essence of myth and the hopelessness that the fallen lords and balor makes you feel when you face them. Long live Bungie for making one of the most memorable games of all times and also for making halo.
This song is absolutely perfect for Reach. Absolutely perfect.
I can listen this song entire days
hehehe I'm speechless =) Nice work "Thomas"
I honestly think this is one of the most amazing songs ever made.
Such a beautiful song.
This makes me want to get up and write an epic saga.
Hearts to you Bungie.
this is beautiful ...
thanks for the time bungie we all had one hell of a ride. SPARTANS NEVER DIE!!! FOR HALO!!!
It comes from a game Bungie made in 1997 called Myth: The Fallen Lords. Its where this song originally comes from and this line comes from Pools of Iron, one of the last battles in the game, where the player learns that the city of Madrigal has fallen. At lot of the ideas Bungie had for Halo came from the Myth series.
In the end of Halo 4 I'd like to see Master Chief die, a sweet peaceful death that is also heart breaking but reminds us of the great times we had with him.
@midnightnobody This song was an easter egg in all the halo games. I think 1 was the hardest to find because it involved some banshee trick. But the song was originally used in one of Bungie's early games, Myth
absolutely amazing.
What a beautiful song.
don't remove this upload ever. I've been listening to this on and off from your channel since you uploaded it, through high school, through 6 years in the army, and now that I'm almost 30. Dunno what I'd feel if you got rid of it. Thanks, brother. 12/20/24
Halo 4 may not have gone the direction we expected, but it's a great revival of a story left untold for 4 years. Not to mention the storyline in Spartan Ops, it's made plans for the next Halo quite interesting.
@theSpartan187 i know the cole protocol and the colony madrigal
but what im saying is that madrigal is a fortress or city in bungies older game called MYTH
and Siege of Madrigal was used in the briefing in the mission for MYTH
Right when I found out that Halo Wars stats and basically the multiplayer all-together was being "dropped" by Microsoft, I had to listen to this knowing now that Halo Wars is now officially among those we lost of the many memorable games we enjoyed so much. See you in the squeal Halo Wars...
This song inpired me to learn how to play the piano. Now I can finally play most of this song! :D
@theSpartan187 actually this song is about a city called madrigal
from the game Myth
holy crap, i think i just shed a tear :*)
Goddamn just listening to this song's got me crying like a little girl. Halo, there is nothing like it, there just isn't. It began a movement and it's the end of it, nothing can really come after. From Halo CE to the books through all the way to Reach.
We remembered those who were fighting for us, and we will never forget.
As those who saved Earth have given their lives.
this is my number one favorite song ever
the little things are the ones that set Halo worlds apart from CoD, soundtrack, storyline, atmosphere... CoD is the game that you play hardcore for 2 or 3 months with your your friends and have a lot of fun, Halo, Halo is a way of fucking life!!! No other game or movie has ever made me cry, hell, not even a song ever made me cry, but dang I play Halo for years, a decade, actually, and fuck i aint ever going to sell, trade my still faithful copies of all the Halo games, nor the books, Its Legend.
who the hell can dislike this!!! such a beutifull song
@Alex090 But if you have seen the lengendary ending of Halo 3, there is an extra bit after the credits where you see the ship fragment in which Master Chief is aboard heading towards what looks like a Forerunner planet.
Also there is at least another 5 halo rings which have as of yet not been found and just because Truth was stopped from firing them remotley from the Ark they should still be able to be fired manually, and whats to say that some new enemy wont who wants to fire the rings.
@ThomasProductions Gotcha. I hope to one day be as impressive as you on the piano! Keep it up!
So epic. I cried a little...
I cant stop listening to this song D:
@ernasmulders yeah your right. because if im correct there is a level in myth called "siege of madrigal"
@as101345207 The music reminds me ten years back of when Halo Combat Evolved was an eye opener. Made me regret owning a PS2. I got a 360, and with Halo 3 I never looked back. When Reach came out I wanted to cry, knowing I would never play another Halo game with the music that Bungie delivered, or the entertainment they game me, the happiness I had when I felt blue could come from Halo. Bungie didn't just deliver these things, but Delivered hope, that is what the trailer is about. Remember Bungie
@ernasmulders It's also an easter egg in the Halo games, which is where I first found out about it.
@1337Ninja3000 Siege of Madrigal is in ODST. Kikowani station on Legendary, I believe.
thank you bungie for the best ten years of my life and i still play halo 3
c'est tout simplement: magnifique!! :'')
@ajw34307 The battle of Reach does not begin a month before it "should" have, it just really began a month before Reach fell. The covenant had coordinates to Reach from a forerunner artifact before they traced the Iroquois. Thus it makes perfect sense for them to have arrived earlier than the main invasion force without knowing of the humans' presence. The cloaked ship landed on the largely uninhabited surface of Reach and deployed troops in order to accomplish its mission: artifact recovery
@Oskarmandude1 Actually, Contact Harvest HAS BR's, but if you read, at the time of harvest, they were still in the experimental phase. In a way their involvement on Harvest was a field test.
@EvilCow090 true i still remember the good old halo 3 games friends that are gone now but will we remembered and when halo is over i will keep playing it
till the end of time halo is my life and my memories are halo
I don't know for Halo 4 since there's probably still content to do, but definitely when the time comes, what I want it to be is a dramatic death, like, he's sacrificing himself to save everyone and as he's doing it, he's thinking back to all the things he's done, and there are flashbacks. And... he takes off his helmet and flashes back to all of his childhood. THAT would be a perfect ending.
@jamescampbell94 Actually, considering it is a ship of the UNSC, not a person, the term 'lost with all hands' only applies to ships. However, all those aboard the ship are listed as MIA.
This was found in halo one. this was a hidden soundtrack found in Assault on the Control Room! I did it before. i cant remember how but i did it. it was on some ledge i think. it was kind of silent then this song played. so yeah, this is from halo
@HALODEATHZ117 All Spartans are to be listed MIA by the UNSC. Yes in actual fact they are KIA (including Jun, considering he died at Castle Base, apparently), but they are to be listed MIA by the UNSC.
Please don't say "if you truly love halo" bullshit. One does not have to explore the entire universe to see all of her beauty...
Found it. you have to stand on this part at the end of the level assault on the control room. its amazing.
@rprince418 the UNSC Spirit of Fire was originally confirmed MIA, but years later they then confirmed it Lost With All Hands when they gave up looking
Beautiful song :)
This is Life....This is Devotion....This...is Halo.
I love this song
I JUST found out about the stat-dropping for Wars from reading these comments, a sad ending for a game microsoft practically disowned after it launched (disbanding ensemble) and has never held as much limelight as its bigger halo cousin, but found a lot of love out there. I played it again the other day for lulz in a 1v1 with a buddy, didn't even realize what MS was planning. kinda sad, especially with this music.
I pre orderd halo reach limeted edit and playing through it braught me back to all the other games and books i really got into the story and also the characters my heart sank at the end of Reach to see one final effort and an ending like no other to the bungie crew :{the world is yours} they have proved and eric nylund has provan that there are such heros in games and that the heroism those spartans showed might have cganged the world
@ajw34307 The Pillar of Autumn set down in Azsod for repairs and to recieve the fragment of Cortana that had the coordinates to Halo after the space battle was lost. The reason this isn't mentioned in the book is simply because, as you know, the idea had not been thought of yet. However the story was being told from master chief's point of view, and at this point he was frozen in cryo so it's not contradictory to add in the Autumn landing on the planet. It is a bit messy, but not contradictory
@halorecon32
In terms of strength, the elites were evenly matched with the Spartans, the only covenant that overpowered Spartans, was the Brutes.
@thecheaterdude I do have faith in 343 Industries since O'Conner is at the helm. Thank God it's at least him and not some other developer who has no idea what us Halo fans want and expect in a Halo game. I really do hope they can continue the franchise with success and that we'll continue to see amazing Halo games for many more years to come. I really REALLY want to see a continuation of Halo 3 and what happens to the Masterchief from here on out.
People say that often video game musics are crap. compared to modern day mainstream bullshit, this is tons better :)
This song is originally from a preivious Bungie Game called "Myth." Its in the halo soundtracks because it was an easter egg in halo combat evolved.
Maybe that's why it says so in the description.
