As a fan of boxing, I learned to like Cotto. He is a true warrior. Big heart, constant pressure, high punching output, and good sportsmanship. All the fights I have seen of Cotto have been top entertainment. Never a dull performance.
Listen, do you think those low blows were accidental? I am not trolling or suggesting anything, but he stopped after he was told that one more result in disqualification. Right? I know that fighters do it on purpose sometimes to gain an advantage by negating some of their athleticism as a result of the force to the genitals. Also, it can instinctively cause a fighter to lower their guard and open up the head region. I would hate to think he was doing that. I noticed over the years that he actually has committed alot of low blows. So either it is something in his technique, size, stance, etc that lends to the possibility of low blows at a high rate, or he is intentionally using that as a way to slow down, take power from, drain, and lower the guard of his opponents. What do you think it is?
