I heard canton fair for many years! But this video gives me a micro view! So amazing! I think anyone inside this fair will be like entering a fantasy land!
He can put tariffs on sunlight won't stop people needing it or finding ways to get it but the ones that hurt the most are the poor, working class and middle class because People still don't realize China doesn't pay the Tariffs the companies that buy their goods pay them and raise the prices of those goods and when consumers buy these inflated priced goods THEY are the ones paying for the Tariffs.
@millen, Don't wake up the American population or they will revolt against Donald's tariffs lies! There are reasons the government legalize Cannabis, sales tax, corporation interests and keep people happy in the basement.
That's a TikTok-level explanation of tariffs, lol. You're right that tariffs are paid by importers, but you're ignoring a lot of the other things that happen before, after, and outside the direct scope of tariffs. There are first, second and third-order effects. The things that happen as a result of policies, but outside the direct scope of tariffs. The threat of tariffs is first used as a negotiation tactic to establish better trade deals, like the USMCA, which secured favorable terms for the US. Not every proposed tariff gets imposed, and Trump's use of tariffs is part of a larger strategy. So when he talks about tariffs, it's not always literal. A lot of people are playing checkers, while he's playing chess. Companies will always weigh their options. They’ll negotiate with suppliers or seek out alternative sources to offset the costs. In fact, many Chinese companies actually reduced prices in response to tariffs, knowing it was in their best interest. A good example of this is in the electronics sector, where price adjustments were made to keep American buyers engaged. In a perfect world, there would be free competition and no tariffs, but the reality is that the Chinese government heavily subsidizes companies, allowing them to flood the U.S. market with cheap goods, and the issue of national security. Government subsidies undermine free competition and gives those companies an unfair advantage. To sit here and abide by free market principles while our trade partners don't will not bode well for us. When tariffs are imposed, some companies get exemptions, like Apple, if they haven’t found better alternatives yet. These exemptions give businesses time to diversify their supply chains, and some have even reshored some manufacturing back to the U.S. over time. Also, you're making it sound like companies just pass all rising costs onto consumers, but that's not how it works in practice. Many companies will accept a reduction in their margins to avoid raising prices too much. If they hike prices drastically, consumer behavior changes. People become more selective, and that hurts sales. Companies know that price sensitivity is real, especially in competitive markets, so they often absorb some of the cost increases to avoid driving away customers. Despite Trump's tariffs, the annual inflation rate remained relatively low during his presidency, and prices stayed affordable for most goods. With tax cuts, deregulation, and a foreign policy that helped strengthen supply chains, the economy did very well under Trump. Job participation was high, unemployment hit record lows, wages increased, and a strong stock market. All of these factors, beyond the tariffs themselves, helped offset most of the negative effects they might have had. Now it is true that some sectors were negatively impacted by tariffs. Despite the fact that some goods did see price increases immediately after the tariffs, over time, many of those prices actually decreased as companies found ways to adapt and improve efficiency. In other cases, prices stabilized as supply chains adjusted and alternatives were found. You have to understand that there's no silver bullet in politics, only tradeoffs. These tariffs were designed for a net gain in ROI, even if there were some potential losses in specific areas. The goal is not to be perfect, but to improve overall economic standing. It's a careful balance of targeted tariffs, tax policy and foreign policy. Not either one of these factors alone.
@@truthprevail2445 Trump is trying to convince the people that it is China that will pay the tariffs which is false and misleading. No country is stupid enough to pay blackmail money to have the right to sell to the US. If that were the case, the Chinese would say "to hell with you, we have plenty of trading partners".
America hardly produces anything, so what will America showcase to the world? America imports almost everything they need from China, Mexico and South Korea

@@Reporterfy I really wonder what would happen to our (US) economy if China took a drastic measure such as taking the attitude of, "we will neither buy anything from you nor will we sell anything to you".
