- Forest Haven was a mental health asylum located in Maryland and operated between 1925 and 1991. In just 66 years of operation, this facility would ultimately go on to become one of the worst cases of institutional abuse in US history, with 1 in 3 residents losing their life under the care of the asylum. Rampant abuse and medical malpractice was so common in this facility that some family members of residents believed that "the only way out of Forest Haven is to die".
We have been investigating this location for over 2 years now, collecting and piecing together evidence with documented history to try and correlate any findings with actual events. After 2 years in total silence, I'm finally able to present you with some of the best evidence we have ever captured. This is THE most in-depth paranormal investigation this location has ever seen, or will see, and we are so incredibly proud of what we accomplished here.
This is only the beginning in a series that will focus on every notable part of the property. We have so much to share with you! This first part is just a taste of what's to come from The Garden Of Eternal Rest.

As someone who is a local to Laurel, MD, and who visited Forest Haven many times, and who came across the exact bed you contacted Clarabell at, seeing what you did for her spirit fills me with a deep sense of happiness. Clarabell didn't deserve to rest in a place so frequently defiled my teens who don't understand the history of the place they're trashing up. The fact that graffiti and trash are so rife in a place with such historical significance really speaks to the fact that people haven't changed since the days of its operation. We're still mistreating those poor patients to this day. I've though many times about going there to clean the place up. I don't think security would let me though
Been there recently? I saw a couple people saying that as of at least May 2022 there is an impound lot in the middle of the property and it is now much harder to access.

@@JustSomeGuyLass I came across several reddit posts from the last few weeks saying there was construction going on there now. Not the most detailed or reliable source, but the most recent info I could find (late May/June). I looked pretty thoroughly for any new stories or announcements about any kind of projects on the property but didn't come up with anything. It could be bs. I was there years ago, but I live far away. I was hoping to go back this month.

@@MikeJones-xz7ki From what I've gathered from various reddit users, apparently the Maryland Police Department set up a vehicle evidence lot on the property. None of the buildings have been demo'd (yet), but AR 15 armed cops patrol the grounds now 24/7. I would definitely advise higher than usual caution to anyone looking to go there. Even though the state of Maryland abandoned the living at Forest Haven, after 30 years of the facility being closed, they seem determined to guard the dead
Dude. My freakin guy! This is hands down the greatest video you’ve put into production. I’ve watched so many paranormal investigation videos and THIS ONE right here stands out from all the rest. You can most definitely feel all of the emotion as well as the blood, sweat, and tears you put into this. This is one of the most thorough, genuine, and captivating investigations I have watched from beginning to end. Clarabelle and her intelligent responses was insane and the mediums communicating with her was so emotional. The estes sessions at the end was the most terrifying I've seen, a battle between communicating with good and evil. Like damn, so much evidence- if theres a video to turn non-believers into believers, it would be this one. Amazing video, cant wait to see more.

This was more interesting to watch than any other mainstream tv show or production. I watched the entire thing in one sitting and still wanted more! The storyline and narrating, all of the evidence, the dark room interviews, it really sets the tone and keeps you on edge with them. You guys are truly talented! I'm new to your channel and I've watched every paranormal show A to Z in the last 20 plus years. From the beginning to present day, I surely enjoyed all of 'em but this episode for me, really got my paranormal interest flowing like a kid who first saw the "Man on the Moon" film or some other 7th Wonder of the World place. I haven’t even made it through the history… it fills me with deep sadness, the heinous acts humans impart on one another. Those people didn’t deserve the ‘treatment’ they received, nor did the operators of Forest Haven deserve to escape punishment or accountability for the choices that caused people to die. It’s hard to believe, 1 in 3 people!! Astounding.

Wow! That was such an amazing, intense, just real episode my mind is blown!
I visited this place at midnight in the late summer with my friends in 2016. We all heard some horrifying things that we could not explain. We walked by one of the doors on the 2nd floor, room was empty minus debris on floors and hanging from the ceiling, a few steps after we passed the threshold, something came crashing down and we all lost it. Freaked us out so bad that we went outside and to another building. Some of us heard whispering in the grass, disembodied screams/yelps… at around 2:30am, we were walking out front and the temperature dropped around 15 degrees. We all wore long sleeves but it was still august so we thought it was odd… as soon as we passed the length of the main building on the right side, the temperature went back to normal, breezy and slightly warm… it was so odd. After I left I felt like something followed me home. I can never return to this place but I am fascinated by the paranormal. Thank you for your videos

I keep thinking about this idea that an intelligent entity, or whatever you wanna call it, can be created by thoughts and emotions. I’ve seen this idea thrown out there before and kind of dismissed it but now thinking about it again. That it could potentially know that it needs these thoughts and emotions to keep it “alive” so it somehow keeps souls from leaving is absolutely mine blowing and terrifying. I think that these poor people that experienced such fear, pain and despair while they were alive, but did not receive relief after death and are seemingly eternally in an even worse situation is almost beyond comprehension and heart shattering. To say that I hope you can somehow get back there and help to release them is an understatement.
One last random thought that keeps me up at night is trying to wrap my head around evp’s and how in the heck souls can speak and scream and even breathe without a body really messes with me. I would love to hear your thoughts on this …

This is crazy man.. good job on the video. I always knew there was some bad feeling or vibe when me and my friends went to explore the 22 buildings in total. Or at least try to. However, once we found that ouija board near the building that looks like it was an elementary school like building/trailer, we were thrown off so much because of the vibe.

How has this not blown up?! Like omg compared to Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures, this is most COMPELLING evidence I have seen. Don’t get me wrong, the other investigators are quite amazing at what they do and definitely get good evidence. However, this is literally on a whole other level of straight evidence. Love it!

I just found you guys and your amazing especially with how you truly care about the spirits you encounter. Clarabelle was so heartbreaking yet so beautiful to see how she finally felt safe and you helped her cross over. Made me tear up and I am glad you did not record all of your interactions with her giving her privacy something that most would never do. You allowed her to be known without taking advantage of her.
When you’re talking to Gravietta in the beginning (when the EVP picks up “help”) it almost seems like she is doing SOS on the K2 meter 3 short 3 long.
My heart truely hurts for these lost souls, no one ever deserved such ways!! I am a medical asst. And take care of my bed bound mother 24/7 , and help in kitchen for our nuns/ sisters, i love all of them! Sadly these places should be cleansed, and move the spirits on, then knock these nasty buildings down. To keep exposure and exploration no more, these ppl don't deserve everyone coming in like the dinner bell rang. They went thru enough. I enjoyed yr story of it all and i know u felt that shit being there, Thanks for sharing our nasty history, staff should have been in the whole for months at a time for what they done.

They are probably petrified in death-like JD said! So sensitive questions like that they're going to be apprehensive to answer. Might be afraid they're going to be hurt. It's not any kind of mild criticism it's just something to keep in mind. Also their mental capacity. I, too, cried with Claribel. I'm glad she's at peace 🙏
