I'll be honest, I'm one of those fans who liked sticker on the first listen, same with next level, I'm used to the experimental sounds but this I was just ????? Like it's not that I hate the song, or absolutely love it, idk but I think every time I listen to it my brain had to digest what's going on and I think that takes away from the enjoyment of the song. Even afterwards I'm trying to figure out what just happened. Like loved the first verse and chorus, not much of a problem once I got into it, it gave sticker intro that I was confused about but got into quickly, then the second verse happened and that's where I got lost and then we transitioned back to the vibe of the first verse and that's where I kinda started to think more than listen like "what just happened". So like I'm again I don't absolutely love it, but that second verse still needs to grow on me.
But talent-wise, these girls have the potential to dominate, unfortunately, I feel like starting with such a sound people still aren't accepting of fully yet, I mean lots of people hate hate this, might be a two-edged sword

yes, jyp was doing great with their girl groups but just being honest since I know kpop from 2008 jyp have this obssesion to try to "copy" what works for YG and Sm and no, jyp must try to find thier own color, it´s a pity for the girls but I hope they can reach their own style in future .

I have the impression that jyp wanted to try a new concept for nmixx, but it wasn't executed very well. the music itself isn't bad, but the melody changes don't intertwine and bring this feeling of mess and confusion. The issue with this comeback is very complicated, because the girls are great but the MV seems to have many parts similar to several other Kpop MVs, people are talking a lot about Ateez because it's the most evident (I swear I noticed about 5 scenes that is identical to other Ateez MVs), but there are several others that if you look at it, you can't even tell that they are different MVs. The b-side is way better than the title, and I hope they see that they screwed up on their debut and bring a worthy comeback, because they are so talented. Kisses from Brazil. 💋💋👏👏😍

Some scenes are from the real, turbulence, inception, and im pretty sure people said something about don’t stop. Their concept and lore are also very similar. There’s a difference between taking inspiration and copying someone’s work.

This is the first impression, and they are saying they could slay any concept
whether it's dark or bright, girl crush or cute they gonna do it all. And they gonna slay.
Remember this is the debut, watching them grow is gonna be exciting.
If they want to "slay", those producers have to do a better job, cause it might be hard for the group to pull it off if the music will stay as bad.

i just saw a tiktok on my fyp said this is an ad .. that's why they have cola on their mv and lyris ...and the choreo is good ...but the theme got us confused as hell
I was trying to figure out what "ad mare" means. The phrase translates to "by sea". Then I was looking up the lyrics on Genius I saw “O.O” means the exclamation “Oh!” which also is the expression someone makes when their eyes are wide open in awe (which i think we can collectively agree that's pretty much how we all reacted to this song!) On top of that they were speaking Korean, English, and Spanish!! I was too shocked to even realize that. The first line of the song was "look at that moving eye", my brain didn't even think like HELLO "eye of a ship". The eye of a ship is legit eyes paint on the front of the ship (even O.O looks like a pair of eyes!!) I'm trying to piece together what the rest of the song means. I can't figure it out yet, but now that I typed this all out the meaning behind the title and the concept they're going for is actually kind of cool. Still might take me a minute to get behind the song though.

The new group will introduce their own genre called "mixx pop" which is a mixture of different genres in one song, The genre is inspired from their name NMIXX in which the "N" is everything like NEXT NOW NEW and UNKNOWN N, while "MIXX" means mixed with anything.
All the seven members of NMIXX: Haewon, Lily, Jinni, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin are not limited to specific position which means, all the seven girls are main dancer, main vocal and main visual.

what i got away from O.O is that theres two different worlds: The "dark world" (an apocalyptic type dimension where theyre fierce like lioness) and the "light world" (as described in the new frontier teaser to be a world where everything we wish for comes true)
We're shown these two concepts separately in the mv but by the end theyre mixed as we see the sign "pick n mixx" lose its "pick" so now we're left with "NMIXX" - the joining of the two worlds, the two concepts, to bring us something new and fresh. The new frontier describes this mixed world AS reality "where hope exists with pain".
O.O represents opened eyes, telling us here and in the lyrics to open our eyes to see this reality where dark and light are mixed. They are saying that a world like the one in the middle section isnt realistic at all and that happiness needs to exist with anguish. The ultimate purpose of their debut is to essentially get us to open our minds to the possibilities of concepts and genres etc.
The two eyes also represent the two different worlds, as we see Jiwoo at the end looking at one O flickering and the other O bright, with the word "N MIXX" under, to reiterate that the worlds become mixed when we open our eyes to face reality.
also notice the wardrobe change:
the beginning they have girl crush clothing, middle section a more brighter style, then at the end they wear plain black but with bright and quirky pendants everywhere to show the mix between the two
so in a way their debut was more like a prologue for whats to come ( like BAE says in verse one, "this is just a teaser" and "coming soon")
ik that people will automatically pass them off as a weird experimental group, judging by what O.O sounds like (and ye i can agree that its rlly abrupt and messy) but like i said its only to set up for their future comebacks, so i highly doubt all their music will be hopping in and out of the worlds, itll be a fresh mix, a new genre, the NMIXX genre
Their purpose is to show us a more progressive world where everyone is able to exist both with happiness AND hardship

I don’t know what to think about the song in general, but in my opinion it is a pretty good debut idea. Through the several switches which were put in the song, they kinda show us what we can expect from them. I don’t think the song is meant for being listened to while going for a walk or just relax, but it is meant for being a teaser alike thing to show the new stans what their style is about

They are shooting us out of a canon Terry, from one musical reality, into the net of another musical reality. And the sensation in mid flight is an awaking to breaking the musical mold etched into our brains. Bold ,Brilliant and a daring move by JYP to try this format. Anyone can have my seat, because Im in line a second time to get shot out of the canon.
if the whole point of O.O was to be shocking as a debut and make people watch it more to understand it more then I think jypent has promoted them even if it was negative publicity is still publicity LOLL. it was not as repetitive for me personally and had a mixx (pun intended) of concepts, which made it interesting to listen and vibe along with it. I like the strong sounds and the switchups. tank is also super fun to listen to but contrary to popular opinion I don't think it should have been the title track because it has repetitive parts and was not as shocking as O.O (the expression is perfect for this debut). Even though I absolutely love tank! People should see that they are talented esp from their *predebut stuff* if they don't like the songs (I respect their constructive criticism though). ( I see that my opinion is probably not favored, but I want to be a positive person :) ) also same looking forward to when they perform the choreo. (also I won't force people to like it, I am just saying I liked it).
Done their job? If that job was to create so much negativity around their debut and have people literally hate it and call it the worst debut in kpop ( it definitely is up there), then sure they’ve done their job 👍🏼
This is basically an EXPERIMENTAL song which a company (YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS, OFC) started a trend years ago.
JYP, as part of his marketing, is just trying to persuade people trying to prove it was a breathe of a new music and created a new genre as if no one really started it first.
