Thanks for the nice memory. I remember my Mom telling me that her grandmother from Philadelphia painted her nails like this. Interesting that they were doing the same thing on the other side of the world at the same time.
Oh I love that! I’m fifty seven and now that my husband and I are empty nesters, my nails grow!! So I’m definitely going to paint them like this!! Thanks for your post! I think you and your hubby are just so cute together! ❤️💜💚
I absolutely love that you add “bloopers” to the end of your videos. It is so cute (something not a lot of people do either), funny, and shows that these videos do take time and effort to make, something I don’t think a lot of people notice about you tubers.
Omg, i am obsessed with everything vintage and i ve never seen this manicure before! I personally don’t like it, at all, but you are amaizing!! Greetings from Romania!
Your nails remind me of my Nanny's. Long and healthy looking. I swear, if anyone is having a hard time with healthy nail growth to try Flaxseed oil supplements. My nails take to this style soooo well.
I only wear red🎀pink🎀tan or a pretty coral for summer. To me these are elegant colors. Red is my go to color always. I always have my nail color match my out fit of the day. Thank you for sharing how the manicure tip was done🤪🤪I love your channel Sage and you guys are so ADORABLE 💖💖Debra USA Florida West Coast🤗☕️☕️
I am working now to grow my nails that nice. They break a lot, so now I put vitamin E on them when I sleep. My cuticles take a beating with all my cleaning.
I love them! I'm going to polish mine today the same!! I was wondering Sage, is your wedding set vintage too? I am obsessed with vintage and would love a vintage set. I've been married 35 years and am just wearing a gold band right now. So I've always wondered if your set was vintage?
I’m actually not sure whether they had a certain day to do their nails, I couldn’t seem to find much more information on the topic online either! They may have possibly done their nails on the same day as setting their hair.

I remember my Mum painting her nails but never over her own half moon at the bottom of her nails, I couldn't do this as I have never had half moons showing on my nails, still at the age of 62 I still don't have any, though my thumb nails show a tiny shadow of one. it's like them saying push back cuticles, what's a cuticle I said, I don't have any, well none I can see!! I have always had really strong well growing nails, they still are but now have lines on them because of my hypothyroidism
Your natural nails are so pretty. I am so jealous
Oh thank you!!

My Grammy from Philly was a beautician and hated doing these!
Lovely nails! How I envy you! I can’t get my head around this style, just looks like a badly chipped nails! Kudos to you for mastering the style!!

Thank you so much for the love and support! ❤️😊
I always wondered about ladies’ nails looking like this in 1930s movies. Now my question has been answered. Thanks, Sage.

I completely agree with you!

Wow! I never saw this before. It’s looks kind of like French manicure.

Interesting...im now going to go out and by flaxseed oil supplements

Thanks, Sage. I'll have to try that. 💅👋
Love your nails!! I definitely want to try this!!! But I’ll never have amazing nails like yours because I’m a pianist and keep mine horribly short.😭
Same here! 👋 I play violine 🎻 so I also have to cut my nails regularly 😭
First time when you put colors, more better!! Without Red, and White. More beautiful barks with pigment
Soooo pretty❤️
You have beautiful nails!
Love this!
Thanks! 💞
@@SageLilleyman You are very welcome! I am going to try this nail look out tomorrow :)
It is nice but I prefer just the half moon at the base of the nail beautiful colour too ❤
Also nice to get them done that way in the nail salon

I love that you did this video. But this reminds me of peeling nail polish nails.
Your natural nails are beautiful.. thanks for this ... Muh try on my poly gel nails lol
Love it!!!
I am really enjoying your channel, kept up the great content!!!
Thank you very much! 😊
Do you shape your nails into almond shape or are they naturally almond shaped? Mine are square and I always have to file them
I'd love to see how you file and trim your nails 💅
Can you do a video how you keep your nails and eyebrows and such in such great condition?
I LOVE WOMEN THAT DON'T PAINT THEIR NAILS THEY LOOK MORE ELEGANT THAT WAY.
I love them! I'm going to polish mine today the same!! I was wondering Sage, is your wedding set vintage too? I am obsessed with vintage and would love a vintage set. I've been married 35 years and am just wearing a gold band right now. So I've always wondered if your set was vintage?
How do you get your nails to grow like that 😭
This is my favourite style of manicure, but so much work. 😩
Is that how they applied it in the 30s? With stickers?
I'm gonna do this! Well.. I just have to grow my nails a bit first 😅
Are those your natural nails or do you have artificial tips? Very pretty. 🌸
What day would a housewife back in the day do her nails? Sunday?

Did they use this same technique back in the '30s?
I wondered this too, can't seem to find any info on the web! Not sure if they had stickers like that. Maybe they had to hold stencils on their nails.
This is so practical for ladies who are washing up allot, nurses and moms alike
I bet this could work on gel today.

I wish I can grow my nails like that. But I got anxiety.
My mom used to talk about how she did this.
Oh no...this is an absurd amount of work. Why did they do this to themselves? 😆
