It wasn't like this in the games, he still could make his own actions but only when they didn't interfere or went against the orders from the king. He had his soul stolen the very moment he took Frostmourne, and it was given to the commands of the Lich King. If the icy king said "come here" he goes there, no questions asked.
I like the detail in the scene of Sylvanas' transformation in which she kneels in a field of yellow flowers. The same flowers depicted in the drawn drawn warbringers cinematic. Nice little detail, appreciate it.
One of the few points throughout the game where they put in that lovely extra detail. You can see it in parts of Arthas getting Frostmourne, and a bit in the NELF campaign. Wonder if that's a remnant from cutscenes they had planned or they decided to allocate a bit more "actual" effort in some cutscene depictions.

you comparing a mature good story to a cartoon Saturday morning writers of WOW. All wow characters have been Garbage since WOD. This makes me glad Arthas died in wrath they would butcher his character completely.
I have really never seen her as a complex. Tbh even in wrath her role was pretty little and before was non existent. Her char started to have more freedom in cata and was nice till BfA when all of it went downhill because blizzard can't write a good warchief story like garrosh rise to power. But ya even at wrath she just stood there doing... nothing just went into a dungeon lol and was less impactful than jaina.
Well, I don't now about you, but I like the part where she singlehandedly takes on the four horsemen, scourge army, dethrones the legacy of the Lich King, rips the helm of damnation in half and screams at the sky till it shatters in under 5 minutes. That's gotta be a record. Hmm.

Gonna be honest here I enjoy WC3 Sylvanas' voice a lot more then the current one and no I'm not saying Patty is bad there's just something about her wc3 voice that just fits her character incredibly well.

I liked the idea of forsaken being survivors/ given a second chance at "life" and how they cope with their existence, rather than "oh we're undead, life is unfair, lets burn and conquer the universe while plaguing & experimenting rabbits while we're on lunch break".

Like, not needing to breathe, or eat, or worry about brushing your teeth, or those pesky things known as morality and humane experimentation! Er.. Ignore those last two, we jest. (We promise.) Just ask the Totally Legitimate Apothecatorium Society, or TLAS for short! If you read it backwards, it even spells Salt! Now isn't that neat?
I wonder if we see KT and Arthy in shadowlands. Arthas technically speaking should be in the maw since none of his soul fragments are bound to any item anymore. Frostmourne broke when he was defeated and it had his soul ever since he picked that sword. Helm of domination got pulled appart and probably released other part of his soul that resided in it as a piece of Lich King's personality. And his body is also dead somewhere we still don't know where although I feel like inaccesable part of revamped Uthers tomb could be possible place of rest.
I see Shadowlands in whole as Blizzard way of letting us see old characters again (#nostalgia marketing) but I do hope maybe its a way to bring BACK some characters. Maybe some deal with death, or we disrupt the whole system of death and there's rules that can be broken. IDK, my tinfoil hat is on too tight! :D
@@Athelarius No, your tinfoil helm of domination is actually pretty on point. Blizz has done too much resurrecting of characters (the one they did right was Illidan), so with the Shadowlands they can get around that.
Love when she calls him a son of a bitch. Arthas was kind of a bitchboi when you think about it, kind of like a manchild. Then again, most princes are.
Ok I will be honest some of the cutscene shots are pretty good and I wish there were more of them, the close up and new animations just for the cutscenes was really nice. A shame that this was a missed opportunity.
And they never met again... for being so dedicated to revenge, Sylvanas never tried to destroy Arthas on his home turf. I do miss him. He was the only complex villain left, Sylvanas has been dragged through all the mud. Illidan has been put through the washing machine. Even Kil'Jaden got a moment of self-reflection. What is there left for the WoW universe other than fighting themselves and digging up the dead?
I prefer her voice in Warcraft 3, but I also like her character and dialogue. Not as angsty angry, I hate the world so I'll burn it all kinda mood like she has in BFA. Well, actually since cata I guess.

Idk what it is but the armor everyone wears in this update just seems lacKing. Also who sewed undead arthas mouth shut, seriously that thing barely moves. OKAY WAIT SERIOUSLY WHAT DID THEY DO TO DEATHAROC? I can chalk up the rest to being lazy but who gave the him the fat bastard treatment? Less egregious but what's with the other demons mutton chops? They said they wanted to keep to the spirit of the original game, seriously take away the cocaine.
