Ben, these really are great cameras, they are very versatile, we use them in our church as well along with Livestream-Vimeo Studio. My only issue I have with them VS. the previous models is the ability to fully shut them down, I have noticed after a couple weeks being stored away, they lose their charge. Only other issue with the newer version is losing the 4k option when recording native on the cameras SD card. I am hoping with the Logitech buyout last year we can see further improvements. As far as dollar for dollar and quality, these really are the best deal if you want to have wireless NDI capable cameras.
I agree, we have been pleased with them overall. I haven't run into the battery drain issue you mentioned in our setup. We power ours remotely through PoE and many times just leave them on. I do have a an older mevo+ with the 4k capabilities but because of the better light sensor in the start, I feel the image is better with the start. We also don't utilize any video providers that can take advantage of 4k video. This works great for our context.
@@thebenbeckner Yes. I thot so too, the image is better on the Start cams, I almost find you can crop in a little more than the + series. I am in no hurry for 4k streams at this point either, we actually been using them in 720p and I find it looks great on our streams.
