I bought a 2023 Z H2, after owning 3 ZX14s. I miss the wind protection. At speeds above 120 MPH it's uncomfortable. I wish I'd bought the 2023 black/grey ZX10R in the corner, at the stealership now. The KRT colors are the best option.
So u have no issues because it’s stock at 36,000 miles. Could it be u jus take care of ur bike, and with that there are zero problems. I never heard of a bike having problems because of mods unless they are done wrong.
@@megatron7811 I change the oil when its due and...I change the oil. The issue with modified exhausts is that the backpressure changes and the valves must be re-calibrated. Even with ECU tune, the more you modify a bike, the less reliable it will become from the factory. Everybody gets an exhaust, nobody re-calibrates the valves. You may gain some minimal hp gains but for me, the bike is already fast enough on the track. I currently now have 40,000+ miles.
The purpose of the factory restrictions are to extend the life of the motorcycle. When you remove those restrictions, you increase the wear and tear of the engine at higher rpms and decrease the engine life of the motorcycle. There is a trade off. You will rarely see a heavily modified motorcycle with high mileage.
@@jdmikeg4 , I will be adding a slip on exhaust because my bike is very quiet. People drive crazy where I live, so I want them to know I am around. Do I need to recalibrate my valves for the addition of a slip on pipe? My bike is plenty fast enough for me, so it's the only modification I will be doing to it.
@@akcycles TST Tail Tidy, Puig Dark windscreen, Carbon Fiber Heel guards. Sending my computer to Moore mafia this week! Oh and a Two Brothers shorty exhaust! Mine is the KRT non ABS!
I have a 2023 zx10r that I would love if I could tune it properly but tried everything and the low end sputter in the first 3 gears 4k to 6.5k rpm very annoying
I have this exact bike in Australia, I think factory you guys in North America get them restricted, as where we get full power. Excluding the 299klmph limit, that's standard on all bikes of course.
You are correct lol I think they missed the mark with the new KRT colors and even the base model one. The standard ZX10R would look so good in all black and have a mean look to it.
Ok so I've just brought one 2021 and it's so under powered it's at stock but my friends 600 is faster. It won't wheelie let's it's me but I've got it on sports and rider mode 1. I have a feeling its me with the settings and not the bike but not sure. Any help appreciated
I doubt it's you lol the new zx10r is heavily restricted from the factory. You will need all your rider tcs aids turned off if you want to be able to carry a wheelie for any kind of distance. Your rider mode preset may still have it on which can be changed. I heard it was hard to do stock in general due to the throttle restrictions. A tune from a local tuner or ECU flash makes the bike feel like a completely different bike. Turning your tcs off once flashed is a huge change just take your time to get use to it. It will be a monster I guarantee it 😂 We did a Moore Mafia ECU flash review. Despite the thumbnail it was great after sorting some bugs. I'd highly recommend them if you were to send your ECU out. A local dyno is always best 👍
nice bike, i have the 2020 krt abs zx10r and I think it is boss, i have it flashed with akro exhaust and power command and it cant be touched, i see you in maryland, well, come on ova to VA and i will take the paint off your bike, we can dash down da hov 95 south or north, nice video and i will subscribe to your channel
The auto blip was smooth from the factory but the quick shift was a little choppy from the factory in the low rpms. So we will be giving updates with some tunes soon
Very interesting most other reviews I’ve seen say this bike is tame , and anemic down low . Even seen some say it rides like a 600, just not as drastic. (Zx6r is very tame down low , beginner tame, but after 12k rpm it’s brutally fast. )
Naaaa this gen Zx10R has some good power down low but the "acceleration rush" drops off drastically in higher rpms and is very noticeable in higher gears. We are very interested to see how it performs after a tune though
@@akcycles lol. I want it as well but ive seen a few videos on how the stock suspension on a gsxr is dangerous at high speeds. Makes me want to wait for the gytr yamaha r1s to drop instead.
Whats underrated about the zx10r? It has the biggest tech package of the elite four. Surpassed by the rr-r fb sp which costs like 2x more

It is amazing what difference even the little sport bike fairing can make lol
It really does.
I built a naked ZX14R with 2003 Z100 nose fairing and tail. I could tuck behind it, to 150 mph.@@akcycles
My 2020 ZX10R has 36,000 miles (and counting...) no issues because I kept it restricted with the factory exhaust and factory ECU.
No slip on or nothing!? I can't do that I need a lil brap brap in my life 🤣

This is a great review of this bike. This is a 2022 ZX10R looks like. What do you think about the 2023 krt colors?

does it come with a saddle/luggage bag option?
Haha not this one but the Ninja 1000 which shares the same motor. If you are looking for a fun sport tourer check that out
A top box and police crash bars too?
do you think power and fun wise the r1 would be better then this?
