I love videos where the comments section is a bunch of people asking a guy in an industrial band shirt with the sleeves ripped off shit like “why aren’t you making deep eurotech housetrance bubble beatpop?”
Dude, this was sick. You have the same workflow as I do with the OT so it was awesome to watch you work. The random feature is game over. Love and own all your sound packs for all The Elektrons. More OT vids!
Guys, what makes the Octatrack so special? could you compare this Sampler with NI Maschine+, AKAI Force or Pioneer Toraiz-SP16? I really want to understand what are the Unique Selling Points of this piece of Gear
Read all the manuals and compare between them. Deff best way to fully understand what every machine may be capable of and find out if it can be useful at all for your needs.
They all provide sample playback and different degrees of sample editing. The main selling point of the Octa is it's capabilities for live improvisational manipulation of samples and external midi while working as a mixer for a hardware setup. Though all the samplers mentioned can work standalone, the other three do work best with some computer love. The selling point of the NI Maschine is that it's designed to be a modern take on the MPC. The Akai Force is designed as a standalone Ableton Push. And the Toraiz is designed to playback samples and loops in conjunction with a Pioneer dj setup. Those are their selling points, but they're all capable samplers. Arguably, the other three may be better suited for common studio song composition than the Octa. But the Octa is an instrument, and king in the live techno world.

You have always reminded me of a Vincent Gallo character ( compliment ). Good shit here. Would you ever consider doing a live show with just an Octa ? Why or why not?
I really respect every kind of Art and Music is so wide to experiment, but to be honest, I never heard this kind of sound played in Clubs! So who is using all these experimental and where? Is this really music, just let some beats at 136BPM and making noise? I don't know if someone is enjoying this Kind of Music, at least not normal people who want to listen to normal music. Any Thoughts? Also I never saw a tutorial of something really usefull what we can do with this Maschine! Why not showing how to produce melodic Techno, or deep house etc??
"Why not showing how to produce melodic Techno, or deep house etc??" - probably because there is an overload of 'how to make music like' and other derivative and uncreative 'tutorials' already flooding TH-cam.

That's a very nice collection of stuff :) And you can do DHR-like stuff with it, obviously :)
Big fan of DHR! 🦈. I played with Alec Empire in Geneva and even opened for ATR once in Berlin so the love runs deep
No new fx?

Be nice if you could zoom into your OT screen so we can see the actual new features being setup
but then we wouldn't be able to see his obsolete video game accoutrement.
@@alienanxiety you don’t like Neo Geo Pocket?
@@blush_response I'm sure it's a charm, but I came for the OT. :)
@@alienanxiety too bad 😸
Even on my 13" Macbook display I can see the OT screen clearly, pump up the res to 1080p
