- The bushcrafting boys look for more luck at Grizzly Lake before getting drenched again with wet weather. Greg forages a few more edible plants, then breaks out the big saw and goes logging. Zach stays busy with a new carving project, while Greg builds and tests a trout-landing set trap, hoping to add some automation to the catch and cook process.
There's only one rule for the 30 Day Survival Challenge: If you want to eat, you got to Catch and Cook it.
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

Greg is like drunken master (not that I think he's drunk). He just presents a casual attitude and then out works and out fishes everyone else. Like it happened by accident. Love your videos. I'm staying 'tuned' and watching every episode!
Greg I'm 59 and I just wanted to let you know that you have been so inspirational to me throughout this challenge I'm disabled but I can still get around I love fishing and watching the challenge is making me want to get back to the outdoors so bad and just because of you I am going to do it you can count on it but thank you so much for just being you!!!

That is his secret on how he catches more fish.
I absolutely LOVE Alone. That and Survivorman because he was one of the first to be truly by himself, set up cameras, filming, editing, and actually still surviving. But thus is just awesome! I've binged watched all of the episodes so far. This is my dream to do this kind of thing. I definitely need more knowledge of wild edibles, because it is next to none. I'm blown away by your knowledge, and will to survive. Hands down my favorite thing to watch. Thank you so much for the great content. Much respect.

"Im watching every episode" - I am so curious to see the fish traps for a good while now, great to see them coming now. We may not use them in Germany, but in a survival situation or when abroad I love having at least seen how such things are made! Awesome work, thank you so much!

@@ADVENTUREKM I don't know for sure but on usual licenses it says "For fishing with one hand rod" gotta check that with the local fishing department or just not get caught ;-) I prefer checking first but it's up to you of course. Enjoy fishing anyways and have a great day, mate
This trap is illegal in most regions of BC too. They’re only legal in the skeena region.

Make sure they’re legal to use in your region. In B.C. they’re illegal except in zone 6.

I live in the rainforest here in Ecuador, so you can imagine it rains here on the daily, but it is warm here, so a little easier to manage. Really enjoying these videos.
