Pretty darn sad so many narc people out there. Noticing the narc is all about emotional control over others.its all emotional. I turned my emotions off to some narc and it chilled him for a bit. But he kept trying to trigger emotions out of me!! I use to be a narc magnet. Ty for sharing !!

Im an emath, im a good listener, i halp others (a lot) the first time i caught him in a lie, he became someone i didn't know. He cussed me called me name, LIKE I HAD DID SOMETHING WRONG, BECAUSE I CAUGHT HIM IN A LIE. HE HAS BEEN MENTALLY AND VERBALLY ABUSIVE..VERGING ON VIOLENCE. NOW I HEAR HIM LIE TO ME AND OTHERS EVERY SINGLE DAY , ALL DAY LONG, BUT HE ACTS SWEET AND HUMBLE IN PUBLIC. IT UPSETS ME SO BAD.

I struggle with the term narcissist but someone once told me that she felt my girlfriend (at the time) was a narcissist. I have tried to think back to see if any narcissist traits fit. Once thing that stands out was when I first met her she was showing me her ex boyfriend’s new girlfriend, basically saying that she wasn’t very attractive and how she couldn’t believe he was with her. Looking back now I can obviously see what a huge red flag this was. Plenty other stuff like this went on. Would you think she is a narcissist?

I think it depends if they feel the confident person is less than themselves in some way. I mean, unless they are trying to smoose upper management, they will be super respectful and will watch themselves around those types of confident people they need supply from but people lower down in a company they will work away to chip at your confidence. Sometimes it's not as simple as treating a waitress as rudly as possible. They'll get that waitress in trouble. That's not what I ordered, put a few complaints in here and there and then suggest to the chefs or whoever employs the staff can't she do her job? To the point where they get believed, her in trouble and she's then made to publicly crawl and apologise for something she didn't do to keep her job. So even if she had confidence they enjoy watching like she has none.

How will a narcissist react when he finds out I'm reading your books?
And what happens if the narcissist buys the same books and reads them?
How much can this affect negotiating with a narcissist?

I had a situation with a family member the other day. Basically my sisters given birth and the midwife came over all flustered from a house with two giant bull dogs and as it turned out the woman who's house it was couldn't control the dogs and my Mom and sister are in agreement that's a recipe for disaster that dogs can kill children and I remember saying I wasn't disputing that that fact couldn't happen but I heard that young mother was frightened herself and the view I was taking was if she's that frightened she's going to be hyper vigilant, and taking steps to protect her child even more so because when you are frightened your in a heightened state and looking for danger and I was saying that's what would keep that baby alive insisting she's not even going to turn her back on her child, whilst my Mother was saying that that mid wife should call it a write off and never go back to that house again. No empathy for the frightened young Mother as mine was saying she was unfit to be a Mother
