Restoring an Antique Chair Part 1: Disassembly

  • This will be the first of a three part series where I take on the task of restoring some 100ish year old dining room chairs. I walk through how to remove the upholstery if you want to reuse it, or even if you don't want to reuse what is already there. Then we discuss how to disassemble the chair at the joints so that we can reassemble it with new wood dowels and glue.

    you could use vinegar in joint or steam it work very well. keep up the nice work
