Taking Down a 4 Foot Wide Tree and Using a 59inch Chainsaw to Make 4'x6' Ashe Slabs!
On August 10th, 2020, the midwest was hit by a land mass hurricane known as a Derecho. Starting in Nebraska, growing to peak speeds of 140mph in Eastern Iowa, and finally dissipating across Illinois and Indiana, and dealing an estimated $11 billion in damage. Where I live, the city estimated that in lost approximately 80,000 trees, roughly half of the city's tree population.
Unfortunately our back yard tree received enough damage that we decided that cut it down and cut it into slabs so that it may live on in a new form.

We have a local piano store that has repurposed a grand piano carcasses into a bookshelf, and a lid into a gorgeous desk. They have a piano harp on the wall for display. I plan to ask about getting one of their baby grand cast-offs for the keyboard trick. A travelling theater group came through our town a few years ago, and they had taken the keyboard concept further by slicing the carcass at an angle, with the rest of the piano painted onto a scenic backdrop. Very clever, and from the audience perspective, made it look like the pianist was seated at a full grand.

Thanks for all that. A small point in the big picture: by definition, the single strings are not "unisons." A unison is when you have two or more voices (strings) producing the same pitch. Cheers.

What I saw on upper level Converse is that they put a second sole that is covering bellow also the striped rubber around the first sole and is thinner compared to first one (the brown one that you have on your sneakers). I guess it would be street wise that once you buy a pair, that you immediately put double soul, this way physical damage can not be done on the first sole and the striped rubber around it. Once you used the second sole so much you can easily remove it and put a new one...

I mean I already have a bucket top separtator so like I said I am hesistant to do much engineering could I not use my bucket top cyclone with a 6 or 7 gallon instead does that sound like it may be a possiblity to you?

I really enjoyed making the dust collector I made a couple of improvements weighted the bucket with a 2x14 on the bottom I cut out a hole for the bucket to fit inside and then I cut a 2 inch rim and then I was able to recess the bucket inside the wood base I was also able to install some small wheels on the bottom

I took a class on how to give a COA, so I've been working on some flutes. But sometimes when I reassemble, the right hand keys end up acting as 1 unit, they all go down when 1 key is pressed. The flute didn't start off that way, so how come sometimes all the keys go down together and how do I fix that?

Tip to stop wear on your Chucks. Get a bigger size. The tension of your foot being crammed into it is causing the shoe to fail. Also, it causes all sorts of foot, leg, sciatic, back, and other problems when your toes are hammered inward because of a tight shoe. Your toes should have room to splay when you step down. This will delay separation of the glue and pretty much stop the holes in the canvas. Canvas under slight tension with no high pressure points will last decades. It’s why the military uses it. It’s industrial grade. It’s always crazy to me that people stuff their foot into shoes so their toes go all the way to the tip. Buy bigger Chucks, and shoes in general. Your feet will thank you.

I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook th-cam.com/users/postUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)
