I love this brand. Bought my first hamilton about 15 years ago and I still get enjoyment when I wear it. Now I have several. Hamilton has a special place in my heart when it comes to watch collecting.
As a Lancaster native, Hamilton is my go to brand. Just added a vintage Hamilton 6080 to my collection that was previously displayed at the National Watch and Clock Museum. Great work, as always, Teddy.
I literally just bought a Khaki Field mechanical for an employee of mine, just promoted him to manager position and thought he needed a good first watch. Im anxious to see it in person myself honestly so I can look at buying the white dial version. I rock a Khaki Field Auto as my daily wear and it was my first watch. Absolutely a fan of their field watches!
I've been repairing vintage watches for a few years now. Almost all of the gold ones (Longines, Omega etc) were long service awards from the 50's to the 70's. I thought that sort of class from an employer was over, but you have just restored my faith that there are still decent employers out there.
Own three Hamilton’s auto’s and my favorite is the aviator khaki auto 42mm “Cooper” and with the light brown leather band with H logo with wings. So comfortable to wear I forget I have a watch on my wrist. Best 800$ I’ve ever spent. More people ask me about this watch than my Tuder Pepsi.
Today came the day during my vacation in Italy (living in a small island in the middle of the Atlantic, very limited chance to buy such things) that I bought my very first automatic watch, a Hamilton Aviation Pilot Day Date Air Zermatt Limited Edition which caught my eyes and then my soul too while going through quite some Hamilton watches at Majer Orologeria in Turin, Italy. As someone who's planning to exit from his current industry (IT) and studies to become a therapist, the history of Air Zermatt which is a high level aerial rescue team, the history of this watch made my choice and my day that those folks are in so important role of rescue and supporting people that I'd like to dedicate my life in the future. It's been a few months of a journey, reading and listening to many of Teddy's content along with others to then find my first automatic watch that has its special connection to me, worth the wait and patience, super happy with my purchase 😊
Finally..a Brand focused video 👍🏼 I like that you point out the strength of a particular brand line up..like for Hamilton, it’s the Khaki and the Intra-Matic..like for the Omega, it’s the seamaster and speedmaster..I think, for someone starting out into the world of luxury watch, it is important to choose the model that really represents what brand is really about
I have my grandfather's 30 year award Hamilton Masterpiece mechanical from BF Goodrich in Akron, Ohio. It was manufacturered in the early 1960s. A stunning and sleek dress watch and one of my prized possessions. I plan on buying a Murph for my son in a year as a graduation present.
My first "real" watch was inherited from my great-grandfather: A 1942 Hamilton 992 Railroad Pocket Watch. It got me started down this long and expensive road and I own a few more Hamiltons. Thank you for this excellent video examining this historic and really fun brand.
Yesterday I bought the 38mm Murph as my first watch and I’m absolutely in love as a big Interstellar fan. I was undecided between that one and the Classic Khaki field but that has alzo the same movement for almost half the price. They make such beautiful watches.
Thank you Teddy for being a watch nerd like the rest of us and specifically talking about what people wanna genuinely know! You the man I can tell you though this video through thoroughly
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
About 15 years ago Hamilton made a limited edition 18kt yellow gold 38mm automatic chronograph using a Valjoux 7750. I have number 79/150. It has a classic white porcelain dial with 18kt gold hands. A couple of years ago I bought the white faced panda chronograph. I enjoy both.
I bought the Hamilton American Classic Chronograph. Unfortunately, after I got it, the Chrono-Hand wouldn't reset properly. Everytime you stopped the watch, it failed to reset a few seconds. After 10 tries, the hand was being reset to the 30s mark. Sent it back to Hamilton, they serviced it under guarantee for free, within a few days. Now it works perfect!
Although I tested the chronograph several times before I left the shop, it happened to my Auto Chrono as well. It wouldn’t reset to zero properly, so I had it serviced too.
I’ve always been fascinated by Hamilton. I have my father’s 1963 Hamilton Accumatic A-450 with a 10k yellow gold filled case and a 17-jewel movement. It still runs…thanks to my wife sending it away to be serviced. I’ll be looking at more Hamiltons in the future. Thanks for the video!
Great video. My wife got me a Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro auto chrono as a wedding gift. Super versatile watch, classic design and awesome heritage. Its grown on me so much over the years.

I wish I could watch this video before I bought my first Hamilton Khaki diver. Thank you, Teddy! I have become a watch enthusiast for your videos. Please keep them coming!!!
I’ve been a big Hamilton fan for years. The combination of heritage, design, features, and value is hard to beat, especially the Khaki Aviation range. But I do agree, they’re lagging a bit in dive watches. In that category they’re being handily beaten by Glycine and their Combat Sub line. I’m not sure that the Invicta acquisition has done Glycine much good, but if nothing else, it has made lots of different Combat Sub models available for under $500, and they’re still really nice watches with a lot of heritage of their own. There’s an idea for another video - a history of Glycine, their most important models, and what the Invicta acquisition has meant (maybe including a little detective work to find out what is currently going on with them, and why it’s so hard to find any models other than the Combat Sub).
That´s the way of live for so many traditional companies. Glycine is Invicta, Hamilton is Swatch, Jaguar is Tata Motors and Ray Ban is Luxottica Group in Italy. :( But I do love my Glycine Airmans with the temporary Invicta inspired logo. :)
Love Hamilton.... Hammy's are not just a great choice for new watch collectors, seasoned enthusiasts love them too. I own Rolex, IWC, Omega etc and yet my latest purchase is the Hamilton Pioneer Mechanical, one of reasons I bought it was because Teddy here reviewed it~!!!!
I bought a converter auto few months back, in pvd black just because I fell in love with it. After months of pretty much daily use and desk diving the watch is somewhere +/-2 sec a day and not even a minute monthly. PR is excellent and PVD shows absolutely no nicks even on the clasp or edges. I love this watch and I picked it over the 41mm Navitimer for the price, WR and PR.
I just got into watches two weeks ago when I bought a Timex Weekender on Amazon. Now I’m on to Teddy and Nico’s YT channels, learning a lot and having fun! Next up: Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm with a dark leather strap, can’t wait til Christmas!
Great video! A similar one for Longines might be a good idea, they have a large range of models which can be confusing at times. Love my X wind Chrono to bits!
Great video. As a person getting into watches, these broad brand introductions are useful. I'm thinking of getting Hamilton's new Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer 38mm automatic as my first Swiss watch. Would like a video of you reviewing it.
Currently wear the Jazzmaster - blue dial with Roman numerals. No extra complications, but as a daily, it’s very very nice! It was my first automatic watch and I’m very proud of it! 😌
I have several watches that cost 10x-20x, but my daily wear is a Khaki Aviation Pilot Day Date. I love the detail of how the minute/hour hands hollow out to show different elements of the dial, the polished raised numeral that give a ton of depth, and the 80 hour (!) power reserve. It's an incredible value.
I bought a watch from AMZWATCH lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
I love the Intra-Matic Chrono. It’s beautiful. My first Hamilton will be a Khaki field auto. Haven’t decided between the khaki and khaki king, I like the, both but love the 38mm khaki size. Thanks for the video on my favorite brand. I’d really like to see this type of video for Tissot, Bulova, Omega, Seiko, and IWC. Be fun to see what you have to say about these brands as a whole, like you did here.
I have a Khaki Pilot Day Date, and love it. I think Hamilton is the ultimate "starter" Swiss watch if you're military, or America. Marathon is up there, but they are a bit more niche.
Just found you Teddy. Thanks so much for putting this together. As a first starter entusiast of watches, I was in need of easy to understand knownledge.Appreciated!
I think Hamilton's relatively new Khaki scuba 43mm will change alot of minds on it's Diver prowess. It's getting rave reviews and by many now considered a contender for the best $1000 diver. I hope Teddy does a review.
Hey Teddy! Great video, as always. I have one Hamilton as always and absolutely love it. I also found this video particularly interesting because I spent 4 years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I did my undergraduate work at Franklin & Marshall College which was just a few blocks from a bunch of factories (Hamilton's former building, Armstrong Floors, etc.). It's remarkable how much important industry was in this seemingly all agricultural-based central Pennsylvania town. I enjoyed hearing the history of the company in Lancaster, most of which I just didn't know. But it made my ownership of one of their pieces even more personal. One more tidbit. . . I migrated from the New Jersey shore (where I grew up) and started college. I spent a lot of time on the F&M College radio station (WFNM, ironically), on the air. It didn't take more than a day or two for me to be told by local listeners that the correct pronunciation of the town is LAN-caster. I, like everyone else, called it LAN-CAS-ter, like the way we all pronounce Burt Lancaster. It wasn't hard to fix! Keep up the great work, Teddy & Team.
Oh my. Teddy, are you wearing a "leisure suit" from the 1970's?? Anyway, your presentation today hit it out of the park! Bravo! I'm loving my black Ventura and blue & gold Broadway. I also have a vintage 1947 Hamilton tank that keeps almost perfect time. I challenge you to do a similar show on Tissot and/or Longines. But, PLEASE, do it without the leisure suit. Rock on.
I’ve got a 58 Sawyer that was given to my grandfather as a 25 years of service gift. Never serviced, still runs great, original crystal that shows little wear.
I just purchased my first Hamilton last week. Khaki Field Automatic date with black dial. Also my first mechanical watch. My kids make fun of me as I just hold it up sometimes so I can hear it tick.
Excellent run through. It's a classic brand, but sometimes can feel somewhat confusing with all the models. This was a great lesson. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. There's quite a few Hamiltons I'd love to own.
Great video. What do you think about new Khaki Navy Scuba 300M ? Is it the definiton of best affordable dive watch now ? I think it is, because i just bought it and love it.
Hamilton and Seiko make watches that are more than enough to never "need" anything higher end. And you won't look like a try hard, phony while wearing one. I have many higher end watches but my first mechanical watch was a Hamilton and I still love it.
Really enjoyed this video Teddy, love to see more of this from other brands. I'm just getting into watch collecting, so this is really helpful!! The Khaki Field Automatic is my favorite from this brand.
Thank you so much! You’re videos are always so helpful! I’m still on the fence between Hamilton and Tissot, but this definitely does help understand the Hamilton brand. Keep up the good work and congrats on the engagement! Best wishes for you and the future misses!
I got the Hamilton American Classic Spirit of Liberty Chronograph recently and it's such a great watch! I think one of the biggest "problems" with Hammys might be they often have long lugs, making the watch wear much larger than the actual size. Great video and would love to see more brands covered like this! - Han
A great overview of Hamilton Teddy, I didn't realise how huge there product range was. They have certainly nailed the field watch range but like you I also like the oddball PSR, a reproduction based on the Pulsar (the brand name is now part of Seiko) that had a few seconds of fame early in the James Bond movie 'Live and Let Die' that I saw on release at the cinema as a child and I remember it well. I had to get one. It would be good to do a similar view of Tissot that in some areas competes along side Hamilton in some areas.
Ever since I really got into watches and have a rather small and inexpensive collection myself, I've always wanted to get a Khaki Field. It's reasonable, around 500-700 but I can't lie I really want the Ventura blue dial and the silver link bracelet. Perfect dinner/suit/wedding watch, would definitely get some looks. So stylish.
Teddy, I was expecting you’d mention the Boulton as a go-to Hamilton dress watch. At least for me, it’s the watch I would choose for dressy occasions from Hamilton’s several collections.
On the point review. Hamilton is a good choice for certain style watches. Dress, field, marine and affordable chronos. I was obsessed with Intramatic 68 limited issue and pulled the trigger in Reus Spain out of all places. Although Valjoux 7075 is a thick and noisy movement I still love the retro design and the fact it was limited to 1968 units.
My vintage 1936 Hamilton Sutton is one of my go- to watches. A little added bonus is the intitials of the original owner and intitials of school( S.U.) '37.
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. AMZWATCH brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
I have a Jazzmaster with ETA 2892, which is incredibly accurate, and yesterday I bought a Khaki Field Aviation automatic with H30 and an 80-hour power reserve with a blue dial. Hamilton watches offer a lot for their price, which justifies their purchase.
Great video Teddy! I finally purchased my first Hamilton Khaki Officer 44mm Automatic. I have wanted a Hamilton for quite some time and your video along with other TH-cam watch channels helped guide me in what I wanted. My future Hamilton will be the Intra-Matic Auto Chronograph. Keep up the great work!
My first Hamilton was the classic black Ventura. That was followed by the Hamilton Khaki Murph and then I completed my collection with the American classic Intra-Matic. I love Hamilton watches. Their Chronograph may be in my future. I was thinking of the H and I see that you are recommending the black & white panda.
Great topic I own the interstellar Cooper beautiful watch Day date perfect size with a great ETA movement can't beat the price or the build quality and looking at the cronos for my next purchase great video always informative thank you !
I love the look of my Hamilton Navy Sub green dial. As far as it only being rated 100m I don't dive or swim with a watch. If I have to it would be my F91W, and I have 2 other divers that are rated 200m or more that never see any water besides a handwashing.
I'm thinking about a Navy Scuba. I have a few watches plus I fly and dive and the truth is, the dive/fly watches are more of a theme than an actual useful tool. Try reading tiny letters and faffing with clickers and minuscule dials in bad weather when your single pilot in poor light - or messing with whatever stuff on your wrist when diving. Truth is, when flying we use computers that have redundancies (and we have phones with incredible apps too) and when diving, we use dive computers and we go with buddies (and have tables). In both instances, a simple, tough, accurate and HIGHLY legible timepiece is nice too. Navy Scuba is all that I think - plus it's not huge and at $750, a decent buy.
I bought a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto with the silver dial as my first mechanical watch back in March. I'm still in love every time I look at it. This watch enthusiast thing already feels like a trap - and an expensive one at that.
Thank you for this. We europeans tend to be very snobbish about wristwatch, anything non-swiss is frown upon. I am guilty myself. But I personally do have open mind too and Hamilton is growing on me. I believe they are making some fairly unique and interesting designs and some of them are creeping onto my wish list. Great stuff.

I'm considering the Jazzmaster Open Heart Automatic with the numbered blue dial as my first Hamilton watch. Thanks for this video Teddy.
My Blue/Green Hamilton Broadway Chrono on bracelet is one of my favorite timepieces! Great vid Teddy! Also holding its value really well.
Rock on.
Thoroughly enjoyed this dive into Hamilton’s history and the different product lines. Thank you!
I love the over simplified explanation of the watch collection. Would love to see if you could also explain
IWC Chaffenhausen also.
I have vintage one piece case Hamilton from about 1962 and it is as accurate as my Rolex DateJust. This video was great.
Really enjoyed this video Teddy, love to see more of this from other brands. I'm just getting into watch collecting, so this is really helpful!!
The Khaki Field Automatic is my favorite from this brand.
I’ve always seen these around on online watch groups but the prices are so high. This helps me understand it a little bit more.
New or used??
Thank you so much! You’re videos are always so helpful! I’m still on the fence between Hamilton and Tissot, but this definitely does help understand the Hamilton brand. Keep up the good work and congrats on the engagement! Best wishes for you and the future misses!
Please tell me you went with the Hamilton!
Hamilton over Tissot common lol
This was an excellent, informative and well organized video shedding some light on the brand. A video like this would great on the Ball brand as well.
I got the Hamilton American Classic Spirit of Liberty Chronograph recently and it's such a great watch! I think one of the biggest "problems" with Hammys might be they often have long lugs, making the watch wear much larger than the actual size.
Great video and would love to see more brands covered like this! - Han
I’ve been eyeballing the Spirit of Liberty auto. I think my tastes run more towards minimalism and that one suits me so well.
So stylish.
I went for the Khaki Field Auto 6 years ago. Very happy with that one!
Teddy, I was expecting you’d mention the Boulton as a go-to Hamilton dress watch. At least for me, it’s the watch I would choose for dressy occasions from Hamilton’s several collections.
Yeah I got the brown strap boulton the other day and I love pairing them with my Chelsea boots
My first luxury watch was Khaki Field Automatic green dial. I love it. Wear it all the time.
I have and wear a Jazzmaster special edition, a Navy Pioneer, and a Khaki depending on the occasion. They are a treasure.
Perfect timing, was just about to buy my first Hamilton Khaki watch😂
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. AMZWATCH brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
teddy is one of the most stylisch guys on youtube, pure class.
I have a Jazzmaster with ETA 2892, which is incredibly accurate, and yesterday I bought a Khaki Field Aviation automatic with H30 and an 80-hour power reserve with a blue dial. Hamilton watches offer a lot for their price, which justifies their purchase.
Love this type of video focusing in depth on one brand!
Excellent Choices!
Great video! Do this with Tissot. They are overwhelming too.
Great topic I own the interstellar Cooper beautiful watch Day date perfect size with a great ETA movement can't beat the price or the build quality and looking at the cronos for my next purchase great video always informative thank you !
Picked up a Khaki King as my first Swiss watch - still my favourite!
I love the look of my Hamilton Navy Sub green dial. As far as it only being rated 100m I don't dive or swim with a watch. If I have to it would be my F91W, and I have 2 other divers that are rated 200m or more that never see any water besides a handwashing.
They are hands down one of my absolute favorite brands of all time. I’ve got my khaki pilot on now as we speak
Got a Khaki OTW. Cant wait. Much respect for your work. You are the source
I have just brought that what strap do you wear it with?
Thank you for this. We europeans tend to be very snobbish about wristwatch, anything non-swiss is frown upon. I am guilty myself. But I personally do have open mind too and Hamilton is growing on me. I believe they are making some fairly unique and interesting designs and some of them are creeping onto my wish list. Great stuff.
Never heard of Hamilton until I watched your vids!!!!
