    The consensus I've seen to have gathered online is that Flutter was designed with mobile in mind. While it can render web apps well, it wont do it as efficiently as a framework that is web app specific.
    Hence I've been thinking that WeWeb is the better solution for web apps that require alot of components rendered quickly
    In all other cases, Flutterflow

      Hey Bryan! Thanks for your comments! I agree with that assessment.
      I'm actually coming out with a video after talking to FlutterFlow because I'm getting a lot of inquiries to showcase saas or web apps that have been created with FF.
      Stay tuned for an upcoming video discussing three examples.

    I’d like to find a no/minimal low code platform to build a comprehensive process for accounting and bookkeeping firms. We deal with collecting documents from multiple clients, clients with many users and 2-way automation with Accounting programs/Excel/Google Sheets. I started with looking at form builders, but I need more features.

      Hey Sara great question!
      For that type of application I would be looking at FlutterFlow or Bildr.
      Hope that helps take care!

    Hey Doc - I know Bubble is the recommended go-to for Webapps, but with the recent pricing changes and lock-in approach, does FlutterFlow make the cut for a webapp too? Long story short, can I make my saas webapp on FlutterFlow (functionalities include API-centric service with social media functionalities like chatting/friend system)?
    I’m concerned that FlutterFlow might have a messed up or poorly responding desktop/web view when deployed, since it has always been for mobile apps, but the recent changes to Bubble leave me little choice. Also, I heard FlutterFlow has improved their web-based deployment.
    Do you think I should use FlutterFlow for this use case?

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! Yes FlutterFlow has improved their web based format as well.
      Still gives you the great functionality but the UI/UX for web apps have improved as well.
      All depends on the exact functionality you need but you described still should be a good option for you.
      Keep me posted on your progress!

      @@docwilliams thanks for the wisdom! Looking to build a webapp which draws from Chat-GPT 3.5/4’s API and feeds information back into FlutterFlow, while also including social media features on the webapp itself. Bubble scared me off with the expensive workload unit calculations, specially for API connectors given my use case.
      Hope FlutterFlow can do this :), and if it can publish both the webapp and mobile app versions, that’s 2 birds with 1 shot for this platform!

    Flutterflow has a lot aof bug, erros that fluter do not accept, but the tool let you do. And when you run yourt project, you see errors dificult to find the reason. I had a bad time with it. Other thank that, a page that i created in weweb in 40 minutes, takes 6 hours in flutterflow. My expirience... The problem with weweb is the princing and funcionality limitatiom (like permitions) if you pay less than 149 dolars. It really does not make sense when criating app... I think weweb did not find a goog princing model, and this is why they are not as big as it could be.

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    hey @docwilliams I came across this video while researching a no-code app that we can use for our client portal. I have no experience with any of these apps, but hope to get more insights on which is better for our use case scenario. Client submits their task on the portal and using Zapier, the task is integrated into our project management tool. we're thinking of how to combine both the task submission and project management into one. is that possible with either weweb or FF?

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for stopping by!
      Great question. Based on your needs, both can do the job but I just personally prefer FF out of the two.
      For a task like this and I'm looking for the simplest option I would actually go with Glide www.glideapps.com/
      The issue with glide is the pricing and it really depends on the revenue structure you have with your clients but for your use case I would go with Glide.
      For the best overall option prob FlutterFlow.
      Hope this helps! Feel free to ask more questions.

    I've heard flutter flows exported code is very poorly written and practically unusable. Do you know if this is true or not?
    Weweb uses JavaScript I believe ane is a much better exported code.
    I'm hesitant to use flutter just because you really are locked into the platform.
    Thoughts?

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey great question! This is a complicated answer but it really depends.
      That is a topic on Twitter but I would first reframe the argument.
      Questions to ask yourself: what is your use case? Are you building an MVP or scaling an app?
      Do you currently code?
      Are you working with other devs on the application you're building?
      I ask because in general these platforms and the code they produce are usable but is it in a structure that a dev would write? Could a dev conflict with the code it produces?
      It's possible but there are several factors.
      Hope that makes sense and feel free to add more questions.
