Joanna, I understand. My wedding was 16 years ago, and it nearly killed me with stress. My family is Mexican, and every third cousin was invited. My husband is white, and comes from a small family. When it was time to take pictures of the bride and groom’s family, his 13 relatives fit neatly in the frame. My family was 6 rows deep with people in the back standing on chairs, and those down in front were laying on the grass. There were over 70 people in my family portrait! (And only those who lived locally came) The photographer had to stand on a ladder to get everyone in frame. It’s the worst wedding photo ever! I got married the same year that “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” came out. My mother-in-law felt like my wedding was the Mexican version. Language that she didn’t understand, Mariachi music, everyone wanted to hug her when she was introduced to them. It was very overwhelming for her. She actually started to cry, and they weren’t tears of joy. I invited just over 500 people. 284 guests came. It was a huge, loud gathering of Latinos. If you weren’t Latino, you were in the minority. It was fun, but I was still fixing the seating chart at 4am the day of. My mom was up late with me, and accidentally burned a huge hole in my veil. We had to go to the bridal shop the morning of the wedding to get a new one. I’ll never forget it. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials. I’m sure you’ll survive it, and have wonderful memories.
I can kind of relate with you. I am from Guadalajara and my boyfriend was born and raised in the US. Neither him or his family has ever even been outside of the US. I always dreamed my wedding to be in México, since most if not all of my family members live there, but I don't think my boyfriend's family would even want to go (he has 6 siblings and like 9 nieces and nephews already) its scary I won't be able to handle both cultures.
Honestly idk how wedding can last just for 2 or 4 hours, like wtf. In México our weddings start in the afternoon and usually we stay until 6 or 7 am of the next day, then we go to our houses take a shower and come back at maybe 11am or 12pm for the "recalentado". We know how to party. lmao
I'm from Argentina, and in here we do the same, except from the "recalentado" part, which, I'll be honest, SOUNDS AWESOME. But yeah, ceremony at 7pm and partying until 6am! Breakfast at the wedding (Usually mate or coffee) and THEN we begin to go home.
It used ro be like that in Colombia, but this turned into a business, so it's getting super expensive and we're obligated to finish them at a certain time, early. Unless of yourse you want to pay more and there's availability of space. At least el caldito still exists if the wedding is at night.
In Venezuela they are more of the style: Wedding: 4-6 pm Party: 6 pm - 7 am Sancocho / barbecue / pool: 8am - 2 pm day after the wedding. Pick up everything because club rental has expired: 4 - 6 pm. The newly married are of two types, those who stay, and those who disappear in the middle of the party leaving the celebration for family and friends.
"TORNABODA" !!!!! For my wedding, we stayed an hour over the time limit and had to be warned that if we stayed longer, we'd get charged. So we left/ food, booze and ppl. And continued the party at my grandmas house. I opened gifts in my veil in the middle of her living room. Partied till the next morning when it was time to leave for our honeymoon.
I haven't gotten married, but at my quince I only was able to invite like 5 of my friends because my mom decided to invited everyone and their cousins.
my mum always says that a quince is pretty much a wedding anyway so definitely counts hahah. I'm not much of a party person so for my quince I got a trip to Tanzania instead :) and honestly it probably costed less still
My brother is getting married this year too and every time I have a question about the wedding he says: "I don´t know ask Mariela she knows everything". It drives me nuts.
If he tried to decide something, I bet you anything that she would disagree and want the other thing. Men just don't care about what flowers will there be at the table, and stuff like this.
Well... It's not a horror wedding story but whatever. I am Venezuelan and I left last year and moved to Colombia with my boyfriend. My whole family is still in Venezuela and my brother was getting married May 5th (The church one, the civil one was April 28th) And I had my heart broken into pieces because I couldn't afford to go. It was early February and I got a decent job. My boyfriend was the one who had to take care of every penny he made for us to live, because we knew I just HAD TO GO to my brothers wedding (Only brother, btw) I saved money like I've never saved before. We ate a lot less, bought cheap shit and worked a lot. There were moments I wasn't sure I was going to make it because it was expensive and I couldn't just go through the border (I live far from it) Finally 10 days before the date I wanted (cheapest flight) I got the money and got to surprise my brother and all my family (They didn't know) My mom almost faints and my dad looked as if he saw a ghost (We didn't really got the chance to say good bye when I left) And I had the most amazing two weeks back home and got to see my brother getting married. So be happy that you have your family with you on that amazing day. I wish you the best
I'm marrying a venezuelan guy and its been a nightmare trying to figure out how to have his family there. I'm happy you were able to leave and have more opportunities (hopefully) in colombia, maybe someday his family will be able to move there too. Your story is so touching though! much love to you :)
Thank you very much Kristen, congratulations on your marriage! and good luck on getting the family together. Btw, serve tequeños at the wedding. It's not a real party without tequeños lol
I planned my sister’s wedding. I told everyone to show up on time because I didn’t want anyone to interrupt the ceremony since it was going to promptly start on time. The day of the wedding, my sister’s maid of honor was late and we had no way to find her. On top of that, my sister was running late. I didn’t want to call my sister to make her stressed, so I was panicking throughout the church. Meanwhile, my soon to be brother-in-law was sweating bullets. Turns out, the maid of honor was with my sister the ENTIRE TIME and did not let me know. I was having multiple heart attacks while my sister was relaxing and hanging out. I make sure to remind her that she owes me BIG TIME.
your wedding dress was beautiful, you were beautiful and you dealt with the stresses with style hehe xox also i may or may not have knocked a bottle of wine on the bride's dress at aged 3 at the first and last wedding that i was invited to lmaooooo
Congratulations Joanna! Been waiting for an invite since I heard you got engaged. Just kidding... My mother invited HER DOCTOR & HIS FAMILY and I'm an African American with Southern roots sooooo it's not just the Latino culture. Lo siento. Can't wait for the pics & videos In all seriousness even partying till 4am, it's a whirlwind & will seem like only minutes when you look back on the day. TRY TO ENJOY IT
I was an event planner and Bridezillas are awful, but the mother of the brides are even scarier! This one wedding the previous event manager was fired so I took over and the mom and the bride came right over. They were stressing and were making all these demands and didn't think I had the touch cause I was a man. They didn't exactly say that was the reason, but I knew. I kinda called them sexist and they flipped their shit. One of the waitresses came over and acted like she was going to take over and they felt better. So, the day of the wedding happens and the holy waitress wasn't there. So I took over since I knew what I was doing. The wedding and the reception went perfect. The mom thanked me so much and apologized for stressing out so much and I told her that it was completely understandable. We get it that it's your day. We understand how crazy it gets and how fucked up the system is. Just remember that it'll all be over soon and you'll feel a lot of weight taken off your shoulders. Sending best wishes, Joanna! P.S. Fuck Brittany.
Hi, Yes, I was a bridesmaid for my sister's wedding and my cousin's wedding. I, too am a Latina, or of Hispanic heritage, so, I know the struggle in that regard. But generally speaking, wedding planning is stressful. There's so many moving parts and details to consider. And the most annoying part is when people don't listen. A bride isn't being unreasonable to stress out because people don't know how to work as a team. Even when the bridal party works as a team to put a wedding together, it is stressful, then imagine what it's like when nobody listens, or is on the same page... ughhhh! Oh, then your family tells you they're gonna "help" you to pay for the wedding, but really, it's just an excuse for them to have what THEY want. It's not really a gift if it comes with conditions. UGH!
I've never wanted to get married and if I ever do. I'm just going to elope, it's cheaper and less stressful. Although I'll get disowned by my Venezuelan family.
You do you!! You can always throw a party/get-together for everyone else when it's over without spending a fortune on all the wedding rates, and everyone still feels included! Win-win.
Ikr :/ I'm having MAYOR problems getting everything ready for my wedding. I'm starting the planning and GIIIIIIIRL everything is toó expensive!! I had to get creative with some stuff... And at sometimes just think "What if I just elope?" And then I realize I can't xD because my mexican family will go crazy if I do. I'm not doing a religious ceremony, and I'm just inviting very close people, not even the whole family, but you know when you are latino, you have this bunch of tíos y tías that are not even tíos ni tías, but you have to invite them any way bc they are close... Like girl, I feel you T-T
your venezuelan family will smell that you're eloping and prepare a wedding for you, hell they prepare it for when you come back for that elopy honeymoon... there's no way scaping those 250 closest friends and family!
I'm Mexican and I can relate to this SO MUCH!! I'm single af but I already know I'm going to need to have like three mini weddings, maybe in three different locations, to accommodate all the cultures...because one wedding just can't be done! I have 16 Mexican cousins, I've been a bridesmaid 8 times! I've been to so many Mexican weddings, and yes they are the best in the world. The partying until 6am is REAL; but it will be the best damn reception you've ever been to. I think the earliest I have left a Mexican wedding was at 3am and that's because the ceremony was at 2pm instead of at night...it is not a joke that these are 12 hour events if not more! The good thing is you are constantly fed, there's snacks everywhere, and it's an open bar. You also have to look stunning, at least the weddings I've been do, half the day is spent at the salon getting ready. It's like a telenovela fashion show!
I was shocked how people will be asking more money when you drop the word wedding. Tip: Just say it's a big family meeting. That's kind of the truth and it's much cheaper. I want flowers: "that'll be 20 dollars", it's for my wedding:" That'll be 300 Dollars and your first unborn child! "
Felicidades, Joanna!!!
Planning my quinceañera was SOOO stressful!!! Our decorators said they needed to be in at 9 am for my party at 6. Well the place couldn't let them in until 12 and we had to persuade the venue to let them in. Many other bad things happened but by the time 6 came everything was fine!
“Im juggling cultures and Im juggling people” SAME GIRL. SAME. NO TRUTHER WORDS HAVE EVER BEEN SPOKEN. It’s HARD! i went through it last year and when the day came it all turned out nice 😊 And your wedding day will turn out perfect! Congratulations 🤗
Congratulations. I watch your videos all the time. I got married in la Esmeralda, in CCS. They kicked us out at 8:00 am as they were setting up for a farm day, yes they were bringing live stock into the venue wile we were still up in the dance floor. Got to the hotel and had fried chicken for breakfasts. What a Party!
Omg, Joanna, this rant was so HEATED I had to take a layer off!!! For real, hope you can get it all sorted out, don't spend too much money, and have a lovely wedding!
So, I only cried actual tears over my wedding twice, which is kind of impressive since I'm a very emotional person. The first time was after the big fight I had with my mother because I wasn't going to let her plan it for me, and the second was after the rehearsal, when we were all heading to the rehearsal dinner. I had started to rant to my husband about my mother, and he told me to chill. Instant meltdown on my part, and kind of hilarious, because during the required pre-marital counseling, the pastor literally told him the worst thing to say to me is calm down. Anyway, congratulations and best wishes, Joanna. ☺🎉
Totally understand. I also come from a Latina background (first gen american; first wedding in the states) and had the same convo with my mom about inviting people I have never met in my life to my wedding. That was probably the most stressful part of the entire process. My mom was like, "just invite them to be nice; maybe they won't come" and I was like, "how about I don't invite them because then they definitely won't come..." As for most of the planning, I was lucky that my husband wanted the wedding more than I did, so I told him that if he didn't help me plan the event (like a 50:50 partnership) then I would jump ship. So I wasn't as stressed out as you seem... Congratulations though! I hope you'll enjoy your special day and you will be on the other side of all of this craziness soon enough!
In a wedding of one of my friends relatives they got to the restaurant which had open gardens and that bullshit. So... after the meal, children started playing there, also there was an old man (i think it was the bride's grandpa) which didn't feel so good and went out a bit to see if he got better. After some minutes he stood up from the bench he sat on and started walking, immediately he fell "in plancha" in front of those children. Children started screaming and a young boy got there to help him stand up again. He never stood up again bc he died of a chardiac stop, if front of the children traumatising tem. I'd really like to be like him, fucking childrens lives up till the end of my life.
Yo, I have ADD as well and planning a wedding was the MOST stressful thing ever! Both my family and my husband's were incredibly supportive, but balancing work, social life, health, wedding planning, and life was just toooooo much!
Cristhian Fuertes Lol, I'm definitely not as glamorous as I sound. Working in a high school does not lead to a financially stable life, but I do what I can to make it happy ❤
OMG! Congratulations :) TOP video. Ps: I got married in Feb. It was crazy: 1 year planning, 2 events, 1 Toronto, 1 Bogota, 10 days apart. Travel arrangements for our two sets of families . Worth it! It was unforgettable, amazing, emotional, two cultures, two cities, two languages INSANE! I am SO with you. It's super stressful for the bride. LOVE your photos on Instagram. Enjoy married life. It's the best. I laughed so much with this video. You are THE best. XO!
I told my husband, you can never divorce me because I'm not going thru this shit again! And we only had 80 people wedding! but like you, the juggling of having to deal with different cultures (I'm from Venezuela, with Italian parents, he is from the US with Italian parents - that obviously did not get the memo in how they do this in Europe) was the most stressful part. A close second was waiting for the RSVPs to come in.. in my head I keep hearing a "CHA-CHING!" sound everyone time one of those cards came in with a "YES, we will be there!" because that mean, our budget was taking a hit with the caterer. Regardless of all of it. It was the most fun party we ever been to - our family still talks about it after 5 years. I know you probably forgot all of that stress the day off and enjoyed yourself (saw your pictures on Instagram, and you looked beautiful and like you guys were having a blast!). Felicidades! y muchos años llenos de felicidad.
I relate to this at the deepest level. Im a wedding photographer and videographer and well yeah this is so accurate. The thought of planning my own wedding makes me hyperventilate and I’ve filmed and photographed at least 150 of them. I have sooooo many stories of the crazy things that go down, and couples that pay more than my undergrad and graduate education for their wedding. And my Venezuelan family has no clue how weddings are in the US.
Please make a vlog on your week leading up to your wedding please! I need to see you stressed out and ranting to feel like I'm not the only one stressing this month. Saludos Joanna. 😂💕
OMG so much truth!!! I recently got married in November last year & had to blend my husbands culture with mine & seriously that was the most stressful part! His parents took a long time to realize the whole wedding couldn’t be Armenian, but everything turned out wonderful in the end. 😊 I hope you enjoy your special day & all the people who will be celebrating with you.
I am not married yet but have been a catering assistant on many occasions. One thing I I have witnessed is not knowing when to pay people and how their people are getting paid. Some florist make you pay up front, some divide it up and some make you pay on delivery. Some locations pay the servers themselves, sometimes you pay them directly. Also, if you have servers or bussers or any of that, clear it with their bosses if they are allowed to eat or not. We had an all day Filipino wedding. We had to be there at 9:30 to set up everything food wise and weren’t allowed to leave till 4. Long story short-we were chewed out by the bride because “the help is not allowed to eat.” We now have a form people fill out that says if we can eat or not and the max of how long we work without eating (3.5 hours). We once had an awesome bride that bought us pizza to eat in the mini kitchen area so we could eat and take all the time we wanted. Details like that are helpful and will cause you less stress. Also, personal note, any “shock factor” wedding food or thing you may want to have ask your mum, best friend, and a stranger and if they all don’t have the same reaction-no. Same Filipino wedding-they had so fire pit pigs on a table to eat (imagine and grimace as a group). People not related to you (or anyone being paid) may not know that that’s traditional and you WILL have a catering assistant throw up in the hall. If it’s culturally a thing or anything personal, still give people a heads up!
Congratulations!!! The only advice that I can give you is to expect something or another to go wrong, and that it'll all be over quickly. My example of this is that half of my friends that said they would be there didnt show up. They had a party the night before and it led into the next day. Some of them flew in for the purpose of my wedding, and still forgot to show up.
As well in Romania. Party until 6am and then later that day. Traditional weddings are long, we eat a lot, we dance a lot, and we freaking party. You would leave a wedding if you have a small kid with you (but u usually use don't bring them because it's a loud and exhausting experience) or you have to go to work the next day. But even then it doesn't matter for some people. My teacher went to a party, stayed until 4, slept 2 hours and came to school. I can't imagine how boring an American party can be, by how u described it in the video.
I am planing my wedding, i'm very close, is on august 4. And yes, i was the cool bride, untill i became an actual bride... and people says they will help, but Dios mío. MUCHAS FELICIDADES POR TU BODA JOHANA, congrats!!!! 😁😜🎉🎉🎆
I can't believe I'm teary because when I first found you on TH-cam years ago on flama, you were just this comedian and now look at you glowed up and getting married. 😭💕
Congratulations! I will say though, that hearing about wedding prep stress makes me so happy that I eloped in college at the county clerk's office, between classes on a Wednesday. I wore a simple spring dress from Walmart and actually did my makeup that day, lol. (We've been married for 13 years now.)
Congrats Joana!!!! One question, if 90% of the planning is done by the bride, an 10% by the mother, in a gay wedding Who is in charge ??? I wish you a happy marriage and saludos desde España
Hey Joanna! I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. I just got married on June 02 this year (one day after your video was released and I hadn't had time to see it until today because of the wedding and honey moon). And yes!! Why is the bride supposed to do everything? And yes! As soon as the sellers hear the word "wedding" the price is 10x more, so my secret was just mentioning everything was for "a random event" so you could get the real prices. I wish you all the happiness in the world Joanna. Let's keep it up in all this "foreverness" we're committing to :D
That is a lucky groom. Horror story? For my birthday that I threw at a club, I forgot that I had to put people on a guest list.😱😱😱 I had to stand next to the bouncer to tell them who were my guests. Now these are Latinos. Most of them showed four hours late.
Im getting married next year, so I’m in the early stages of planning! The guest list is already starting to stress me out! My fiancé and I are both Mexican so we both have a biiig family!! Lol I hope the rest of your planning goes well and you enjoy your big day!! Felicidades!! 🍾❤️
Jajaja...
GIRLLLLL AMO A TUS VIDEO Y SIEMPRE LOS VEO Y NUNCA SUPEEEEEEEEEEE OMGGGGGGGGGGGG TE FELICITOOOOOOOOOOOO 💕💕💕💕💕❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭suerte y te deseo lo mejor!!!! Toda esta plantación se acabará bien!!!!
I just got married like 2 weeks ago and EVERYTHING you said is true! I’m Mexican on my Dad’s side and he was randomly trying to invite “cousins” I don’t even think we are related to! Luckily I had my wedding in Indiana and people didn’t want to travel. Also on top of the wedding that I was planning from Texas in Indiana, we were sellingour house and since my now husband had to be in California, for his new job, I was in charge of that and all the preparation and moving. As well as trying to transfer within my company/get a new job. And handling my Dad having a health flare up and working 50 hours a weeks. Overall it was a nightmare and being 1000 miles from my fiance and sleeping on an air mattress for two months made me cancel the wedding every other day. Also my dress was in California and I had no idea if it was going to fit cause it was tight in the bust. So I was working out and switched to a vegan diet and surprise I lost too much weight and ended up having to have my dress taken in everywhere but the bust and they just let it out a little. 🤦🏻♀️ Fast forward to the wedding. Everything my mom was in charge of didn’t arrive until about 30 min before the ceremony cause she refused to let anyone help. Since my husband was setting up the wedding I was locked in the bridal suite so I couldn’t tell anyone where anything was supposed to go. Half the stuff ended up not getting set up. It was a mess. So I grabbed a bottle of sangria and downed it with my anxiety meds (do not recommend) and I had a good time. The DJ didn’t play the right song for me walking down the aisle. A song that I wanted since I was in high school whatever. My husband didn’t even write vows even though I bought a special book and had been reminding him for months. In the end we are married and it was okay and if people didn’t like it. Well who cares. imgur.com/a/KQhtjDl Here is a pic of me drunk in the photo booth. Don’t stress. No one is going to care in the end if you provide enough alcohol. And honestly it’s about you not them it’s about you cause girl you planned it. Once I was over the wedding, I grabbed the remaining cake and my trusted sangria and called it a day, we’re people still there yes. Did I care? Not a chance. These people know me. Why would they expect anything else? imgur.com/a/cWmHZvz
Lol I love this video. I feel so bad for you Joanna! My wedding came after some family deaths so my mom and I were kinda depressed, so my mother in law actually planned like 90% of the wedding for us! I still freaking love her so much for that! Lol
OMG I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING. (Edit: Son venezolanos) Bye
Congrats Joanna! I got my period on my wedding day but the show must go on ! The last week of the wedding is crazy but try to take it all in and have fun with your wedding dress bc you only get to wear it for 1 day.
When I took over as President of my Lions Club 5 years ago I wanted the ceremony to be PERRRRFECT, luckyly I had a small but great team helping me getting everything together but the stress was immense! I wanted the invitations to be a certain way, the decoration, the band, the food, flowers, sound, souvenirs, MY SPEECH! Everything went according to plan, I think, but for the fear that something could go wrong was terrifying!!! I get you girl, I get you! In the end if something went wrong it didn't matter, everyone was having a lot of fun and they left happy, so I was happy too.
Oh my gosh that guest list!!! I also come from a very large Hispanic family to the point that I was meeting family at my wedding FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. Also,my dad owns his own company so of course we had to invite all his employees plus their families, and even though my husband comes from a small family, he is the son of a Pastor so OF COURSE we had to invite the whole church too. And that’s not even including friends!
"Chamo, cuando estaba en el liceo, tenía que hacer la vaina de la opsu y la vaina me dijo que iba a ser hippie, déjame vivir". Also, I loved when you didnt find the word and said "estem... este...". ♥
OMG Joanna I literally cried of laughing watching this episode. I could relate to you, but try to enjoy all of the process. And hopefully we will get to see a little bit of your wedding. Congratulations from Costa Rica, Pura Vida

Honestly idk how wedding can last just for 2 or 4 hours, like wtf. In México our weddings start in the afternoon and usually we stay until 6 or 7 am of the next day, then we go to our houses take a shower and come back at maybe 11am or 12pm for the "recalentado". We know how to party. lmao
Sofia Barrera Recalentado was the day to chill and just talk to the fam
I'm from Argentina, and in here we do the same, except from the "recalentado" part, which, I'll be honest, SOUNDS AWESOME. But yeah, ceremony at 7pm and partying until 6am! Breakfast at the wedding (Usually mate or coffee) and THEN we begin to go home.
It used ro be like that in Colombia, but this turned into a business, so it's getting super expensive and we're obligated to finish them at a certain time, early. Unless of yourse you want to pay more and there's availability of space. At least el caldito still exists if the wedding is at night.
In Venezuela they are more of the style:
Wedding: 4-6 pm
Party: 6 pm - 7 am
Sancocho / barbecue / pool: 8am - 2 pm day after the wedding.
“ We can’t invite Jorge” “ Who’s Jorge?” “ My second cousin in Miami”
LOL
WAIT WAIT WAIT HOLD ON!!!!!! COMO QUE TE CASAS??????? JODER, Y LO DICES ASÍ, AHORA????? GIIIIIRL, CONGRATS!!!!!
And she's married already. This is uploaded late.
when?
I haven't gotten married, but at my quince I only was able to invite like 5 of my friends because my mom decided to invited everyone and their cousins.
my mum always says that a quince is pretty much a wedding anyway so definitely counts hahah. I'm not much of a party person so for my quince I got a trip to Tanzania instead :) and honestly it probably costed less still
I want a bridezilla episode with Joanna
My brother is getting married this year too and every time I have a question about the wedding he says: "I don´t know ask Mariela she knows everything". It drives me nuts.
If he tried to decide something, I bet you anything that she would disagree and want the other thing. Men just don't care about what flowers will there be at the table, and stuff like this.
the part where you have to explain to your mom you cant invite her 2nd cousin was ON POINT omg hahahahahaha #brasil
Girl yes. Absolutely. Thanks so much!
How's Colombia?
This is a beautiful story! I’m so glad you got to see your brother be married! And what a beautiful sacrifice your boyfriend made so you could go!
You already got married, so I guess this was filmed a couple of weeks ago. Ik because I'm that second cousin..
Yeees I saw a photo on instagram!
u're in the new video :o
My wedding was "Meh! Who gives a shit? I'm not spending 10000 to give strangers free alcohol, let's just spend that money in the honey moon. Deal?"
Smuffer me if i get married 😏
Smuffer thats what I have always taught, the honeymoon is way more impirtant than the actual "party"
Run Brittney.
Kay H so far, so fast
Lol
I make sure to remind her that she owes me BIG TIME.
your wedding dress was beautiful, you were beautiful and you dealt with the stresses with style hehe xox
also i may or may not have knocked a bottle of wine on the bride's dress at aged 3 at the first and last wedding that i was invited to lmaooooo
Congratulations Joanna! Been waiting for an invite since I heard you got engaged. Just kidding...
My mother invited HER DOCTOR & HIS FAMILY and I'm an African American with Southern roots sooooo it's not just the Latino culture. Lo siento.
Can't wait for the pics & videos
In all seriousness even partying till 4am, it's a whirlwind & will seem like only minutes when you look back on the day. TRY TO ENJOY IT

"What esteeee" jajaja me encanta cuando suelta algo en spanglish
Hi,
Yes, I was a bridesmaid for my sister's wedding and my cousin's wedding.
TQM
Melissa Bellais there is when you live in another continent 😉
"How can we not invite Jorge?" HAHAHAHAHAHAH
CONGRATS JOANNA!
I want flowers: "that'll be 20 dollars",
it's for my wedding:" That'll be 300 Dollars and your first unborn child!
Oh my! Gotta say it's one of your best rants. Hopefully your wedding was wonderful!
"Ive never met jorge in my life!" mE LAST YEAR LMAOOOOO 😂
“Im juggling cultures and Im juggling people” SAME GIRL. SAME. NO TRUTHER WORDS HAVE EVER BEEN SPOKEN. It’s HARD! i went through it last year and when the day came it all turned out nice 😊 And your wedding day will turn out perfect! Congratulations 🤗
"¿Cómo le explicas a tu familia venezolana que la fiesta termina a las 4 am?"
“Earliest I’ve left a wedding was 6:00am” lol FEEEELLLLLTTTTTTTT
Joanna is so underrated no entiendo porque no tiene mas subscribers, congratulations on your wedding btw I’m so happy for you
Yo, I have ADD as well and planning a wedding was the MOST stressful thing ever! Both my family and my husband's were incredibly supportive, but balancing work, social life, health, wedding planning, and life was just toooooo much!
Gretchen Gustafson Curious, I would like to have a life like that at least for a week. Why? Well I'm poor cannot afford that life.
XO!
Joanna, chill girl! Momentai! It's gonna be great, congrats!
Awsamazing Eden She already got married some time before she uploaded this video. ^^
Take a couple of deep breaths. You will survive this! Felicidades! And be sure to have a post wedding rant too! You’re amazing.
2:15 - 2:43 TRIGGERED
Daisy Huang Vuelvas you're telling me 😂
Omg!! You’re getting married!!! Girl! Congrats!!! I hope you have the best weeding/marriage ever!!
I hope you enjoy your special day & all the people who will be celebrating with you.
After your wedding can you rant about Brittany? 😂😂😂
Ookamitsu 😐
Yasss!! Please
Congrats for the wedding!
Pd.:Poor Jorge :(
Congratulations!!! The only advice that I can give you is to expect something or another to go wrong, and that it'll all be over quickly. My example of this is that half of my friends that said they would be there didnt show up. They had a party the night before and it led into the next day. Some of them flew in for the purpose of my wedding, and still forgot to show up.
and just relax everything is gonna be OK
¡Un abrazo! :)
POOR BRITNEY
are you hiGHHHHHHH BRITNEY?!?!?!?!
I was laughing out loud, not just a chuckling..actually laughing! I loved this post! Been there, totally feel your pain!
I am planing my wedding, i'm very close, is on august 4. And yes, i was the cool bride, untill i became an actual bride... and people says they will help, but Dios mío.
MUCHAS FELICIDADES POR TU BODA JOHANA, congrats!!!! 😁😜🎉🎉🎆
ninivengl Oooo August 4 is my bday. So, your wedding is coming up in a few days. How do you feel now???
Congratulations!! Felicidades!! Joanna that would be a crazy hilarious wedding, can't wait for your after wedding rants. hahaha
FELICITACIONES!!! i'm curious about how your weding went with the culture mix
Congratz johanna!!!! FELICITACIONES POR TU BODA, you got it gurl!
I wanna go to joanna's wedding soooo bad!!!! 😫😫😫
Julio Cortez do u know her? Are you just gonna show up and say youre a big fan and leave?
coco kane lol yeah pretty much 😋
Joanna I feel you, Worry all you need but in the end you got this!
You will be a beautiful bride
Congrats Joana!!!! One question, if 90% of the planning is done by the bride, an 10% by the mother, in a gay wedding Who is in charge ??? I wish you a happy marriage and saludos desde España
ElPrincipeMilenario Well with my girlfriend and I, we are both going to plan. Lots of compromising. I think it's even more stressful!
I can feel your anger being released
Congratulations Joanna! GL at the ceremony!
Lol
I hope the rest of your planning goes well and you enjoy your big day!! Felicidades!! 🍾❤️
Jajaja...
GIRLLLLL AMO A TUS VIDEO Y SIEMPRE LOS VEO Y NUNCA SUPEEEEEEEEEEE OMGGGGGGGGGGGG TE FELICITOOOOOOOOOOOO 💕💕💕💕💕❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭suerte y te deseo lo mejor!!!! Toda esta plantación se acabará bien!!!!
waittt, married?!
Fast forward to the wedding.

Here is a pic of me drunk in the photo booth.

Lol I love this video. I feel so bad for you Joanna! My wedding came after some family deaths so my mom and I were kinda depressed, so my mother in law actually planned like 90% of the wedding for us! I still freaking love her so much for that! Lol
OMG I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING. BUT IN SPANISH:

Latino's weddings are THE bEST!!!!
Congrats Joanna! I got my period on my wedding day but the show must go on ! The last week of the wedding is crazy but try to take it all in and have fun with your wedding dress bc you only get to wear it for 1 day.
What kind of wedding is it gonna be? Civil, jewish, christian...?
I can't believe that you're already getting married. Happy wishes. I hope your have a great day.
Congratulations Joanna and good luck with your wedding!
Lowkey you should either vlog the wedding or just vlog more. The interactions between Kris and Joanna and relatable and funny lol.
Loved this! Thanks for Sharing Joanna!
Congratulations!!! Wish You and "Your Man" many blessings lol. Thank you for taking the time to make a video for your Fans.
I find myself binge watching Joanna rants😂 I love her
I saw the pics she on instagram, she looked absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations, Joanna!!!
