I think the issue is that Linkara tied his own real identity with his internet persona. Any criticism towards his character would just feel like a personal attack since Linkara is now just him. I figured it was more that he hates being reminded of it, and that constantly calling him The Lightbringer, and having that name be associated with him and his not so great webcomic, gave off the impression of them bullying him.
Like as if they were trying to insinuate that he basically has no right ripping into bad comics, when he's made one himself, or something like that.

I got into comics about age 12 found Linkara a few years later and when I watched Oney play I came back because I was literally floored that any one knew who he was in the larger internet sphere.
