- Chicago resident Ms. Pearl Willis made the selfless decision to babysit her daughter's friend's child while the mother pursued her academic career. Through word of mouth, more mothers heard about Ms. Pearl and asked her to look after their children so they too could return to school. Soon enough, Ms. Pearl was looking after fifty children, so she knew she had to expand in order to help more mothers. With the help of her community, she bought a facility and launched Roseland Community "Good News" Day Care Center, a free babysitting service for teenage moms, college moms, and low-income moms. Kelly speaks with two mothers who were able to pursue their dreams because of Ms. Pearl's kindness. Kelly's friends at Comcast Xfinity also give Ms. Pearl the ultimate gift to help her achieve her goal of creating a coffee shop with a computer lab for kids and their mothers.

To God be the glory…Ms. Pearl is truly an awesome woman of God!! 🙏🏽🙌🏽❤️
Love this so much, she’s such an angel. When I was in grad school, we were broke and had a surprise baby. We couldn’t afford daycare and a wonderful lady watched her for basically free (we paid her all we could which was like $100 every few weeks).
yeah right white lady
This woman is the real deal! She has a huge heart and she gives all she has to help these mothers. She is a BLESSING to her community and everyone who knows her! Thank you for sharing her story of selflessness and thank you Xfinity for your generous donation to her work!!! This is the best news I have heard all day!
An angel that keeps the children of Chicago safe and learning.
Beaiutiful Kelly. As Melissa said, Ms. Pearl is an angel. And we still have a few on this planet, thank God.
God bless you Ms. Pearl

THIS IS THE GREATEST WOMAN I HAVE EVER SEEN ON TV. she is phenomenal, strong, beautiful, generous, I can't even speak enough words for eternities on this woman's heart! We all gotta help her however we individually can! Just sending good energy and prayers for others to help if that's all we have! Love her to bits.
No one should have to choose between their children and an education. Period. Good on this lady, she sees the reality we NEED.
We need more Ms Pearl’s in our world! ❤️🇨🇦
Ms. Pearl you are awesome. May The Lord continue to bless you ♥️
I live in Chicago & never heard of Ms. Pearl so THANK YOU for highlighting her. She is truly a beautiful gem. It truly takes a village & she obviously live by that motto. I pray that God continues to bless her Abundantly. I will certainly try & visit her coffee shop & give a donation. I love her spirit!! Thank you for this story Kelly!!
This is the most awesome story of selflessness, and how God rewards those who do His work!! Amen!
What a God Sent!!!!!
I used to volunteer at this daycare with my youth group when I was younger and have had the pleasure of knowing this woman personally. Ms. Pearl is THE REAL DEAL and deserves this recognition and more! This episode doesn't even begin to touch the surface of the impact she had had on her community and so many others. She is a true blessing!!
Just donated. Very cool episode!!
I was balling my eyes watching Miss Pearl! Is there a link to send her a donation? She is a special woman!
Wow that’s amazing, I definitely wish I would have had this when I was going to college. Heck I wish I had it now that I’m going for my bachelors and have another kid on the way. What an amazing women.
Same I would have gone back to college. I was a young mother and wife of a military man at age 19
I literally wouldn't be able to work and go to school without my grandparents helping me with my son. It's truly life changing, for those who don't have family to help. I truly don't know what I would do, she is absolutely incredible!!
I love these segments of Kelly's show because it shows others that there are great people still left in this world. Thanks Kelly!
Yes I’m a young girl that had lost my faith of humanity but since watching this my faith has been restored.
I love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. God bless y’all, so wholesome 🥰
What a woman!
I am so proud of you Ms Pearl. Your example and dedication has been a tremendous blessing to many and I'm glad that I witnessed it first hand. We love you!!
Such a feel good segment, I love 💖 a happy ending. This story has me bawling I went through 2 tissues. So happy for Ms. Pearle and that Chicago community.
Ms.Pearl you are One of a Kind, may God continue to Bless You and Your Family😍
Omg I was not expecting that reaction
It’s amazing what you do mam. Sorry I couldn’t watch the whole video but it’s a pet peeve of mine when people constantly say umm in a conversation. You had everyone beat and could possibly have broken a world record for the amount of umms in one conversation.
Aye Jason Biggs -- this ain't some Hollywood meetup. Her name is "Ms. Pearl," and you will respect her as such!
Thank you all for watching ...
I dare you.....
This is a great story. Thank you for honoring Mrs. Pearl!
So awesome that you covered this story about Ms. Pearl. I got the privilege to meet her a few years ago when my campus ministry took a missions trip there during spring g break. That is so awesome all the donations.
Hi Kelly. That girl her daughter brought home from school one day with and child on the way was me. I was 14yrs old and had a child on the way and didn't know how I was going be able to finish school. I gave birth my sophomore year in high school. I would NEVER have been able to graduate without her in my life. Not only did she keep my daughter so I could finish school I was also able to participate in after-school activities as well. She provided formula, food, diapers, and clothing. She had doctors come to the daycare and make sure our children were healthy and vaccinated. She mentored us, she prayed with us, she had Bible study with us, she took the moms on outings, she took our child on fields trips and never asked the moms for money. Every holiday we had dinners together that she cooked and provided for us. Toys for our children and back to school supplies were provided to us. I had 4 children and each one of them were taught through her daycare from 6weeks old until they were kindergarten ready. She has been at the hospital with me for every child I birthed, held my hand through the rough parts of my life and continuously encourages me and so many others.. This woman is amazing. Every since the day her daughter took me home she has been in my life. I call her mom and my children call her Gramma Pearl. I don't know where I would be today if she had turned me around and said no. I thank you Kelly for giving her this light to shine its definitely well deserved. Thank you and thank everyone for your contributions she really is a genuine Pearl.❤
