TOP SCOTTISH CAMPSITE - A favourite site, Glenmore, on the shores of Loch Morlich

- We stay at Sue's favourite campsite called Glenmore Campsite which is situated on the shores of Loch Morlich. We stay on a woodland pitch just a 100m from the loch. From here we experience the endless woodland walks and I (Kath) even manage a swim in the icy waters of the loch. There are plenty of trails for Sue to run and we were hoping for snow just in case the opportunity to ski presented itself as the location is very close to the local ski resort at the foot of Cairn Gorm.
This is episode 99 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.

It was cold even in a wetsuit. Some hardcore folk were swimming in bathers. 🥶🙏🚌❤️

What a wonderful campsite. Just had a look at it and this is on our list. Being disabled I need to know what is available for us and this looks great and accessible for me, not a wheelchair but need some facilities X Swim looked wonderful as well X
Yes I think this is pretty accessible for somewhere so rural. The trails are pretty good and even in for Archie’s buggy. With the beach so close very easy to get into the water for swimming or other water sports such a SUP board or kayak. Hope you get the chance to try it out. 🤗🙏🚌❤️
Loved the video. Like you both my wife and I honeymooned in the area exactly 29yrs ago and we camped in Glenmore only last week. Sue has great taste as its our favourite site too. We used to try and get back to it at least twice a year but for various reasons we've not visited since 2019, though we've already booked again for October. Our 15yr old Old English Sheepdog Finlay loves it up there and turns almost puppy like.....must be the clean Scottish mountain air. He's now joined by 3 Dachshunds (much to his annoyance I expect) but they enioyed it too, they told everyone on the campsite vocally they were having a fab time 😂. Just found your channel this evening and have enjoyed your videos will watch more over the next few days. Keep safe and well and big cuddles to those adorable poochies. Gavin

We were there for Christmas and new year 2009. Snowed in for 2 extra nights. We were buried to above the wheel height. Absolutely stunning site, well worth the 550 mile drive from home. Shame I can’t show the pictures here. I’m tempted to see if we can get on for new year again.

🤣🤣🤣I think you’d love a little splash around in the loch. It’s definitely a site for a return visit for us too. Have fallen in love with the area as it ticks all our boxes. I think you would really enjoy it too. Just need to get your timing right as I think it’s probably pretty expensive in high season. Worth a treat though. 🤗🙏🚌❤️

Oh wow this made me wish we had stopped at Loch Morlich so much now! The time we spent in the Cairngorms last year, I think we just couldn't fit it in. But my god you've done it justice, spectacular footage, love the drone shots (it looked like you had that beach all to yourself) and the way the autumn leaves and that dark water reflect everything is just magical. Well done on the swim, looks the perfect place for it. I did wild swim in the river Spey not far from there, would definitely recommend that. And parking at Cairngorm ski centre is worth it too, was about 3 quid when we went.
I think that price for Loch Morlich is very reasonable for what it is and where! We've paid more for campsites in far less scenic places, and out of season too, including recently near Scarborough. It does feel like they're going up in general. You dont mind when it's somewhere special like the one you stayed on, but some really aren't

Im loving the campsite, dont do them much but i like this one. Are the showers extra 🤔 i know the washers will be. I enjoyed this vlog very much xx
It is lovely. The showers are all included in the price and pretty good, but you’re right laundry is coin fed, although not a bad price compared with commercial laundrette. Thank you for your comments we really do appreciate it. 🤗🙏🚌❤️

Hello, I am new to your chanel so have been watching from the beginning. What an adventure you are having, what a palarva you had with the windscreen still all sorted now. Like most people I am curious (nosey) to know what you ladies did as a profession before you retired. I can see Kath you are keen on sport, were you involved in some way? Looking forward to many more adventures to come. 🎉🎉
Hey! Thank you for watching and yes it’s been quite a ride since we retired. We’ve both done a variety of different things. Latterly I did some project and programme management, but my favourite sideline was strength based leadership coaching. As for sport, I do love it, but was never good enough to be involved professionally. I played hockey and squash primarily although if little girls were allowed to play rugby when I was small, I’m sure that would have been my sport. I did qualify as a rugby coach so I could help out at the local rugby club when my son started playing age 6. Sue is a much better sportsperson. She also played hockey but at a much higher standard. She even played for Scotland for a short while in her late teens. She still runs 6 days a week just for fun. Crazy!! 😜 🙏🚌❤️
