If you've ever watched the Netflix series Vikings, you must have been impressed by the transformation of the actors over the six seasons. The cast went through a real physical journey to convincingly portray the Norse warriors.
Before becoming real Vikings, the actors underwent intense training in martial arts, weight lifting and sword fighting. In addition, many had to radically change their diets and gain or lose weight to get the ideal body for the series.
Over the seasons, it is possible to notice the impressive change in the bodies of the actors. For example, actor Alexander Ludwig, who played Bjorn Ironside, went from a slender young man to a true warrior, with well-defined muscles and an enviable abdomen.
But it wasn't just men who had to physically transform for the series. Katheryn Winnick, who played the warrior Lagertha, went from an elegant and feminine actress to a strong and imposing Norse leader.
All in all, the physical journey the Vikings actors went through to play their characters was impressive. The end result is an intense and engaging series, with well-developed and visually striking characters. If you haven't seen Vikings yet, this fantasy adventure epic is certainly worth checking out.

Despite being a Yorkshire man from Stamford Bridge who destroyed the Vikings in 1065 in the last great battle. These actors represent the Vikings well. How about a show concerning those of us of Saxon blood.

@@bigcelebrities I'm from Stamford Bridge where the battle took place against the combined armies of Norway, Denmark & Iceland. I did my apprenticeship with British Rail in York. During my first year whilst on summer holiday I volunteered for the Coppergate Viking archaeology dig. This was run by York University & we unearthed an intact Viking longboat in the heavy clay soil. The next year during my holiday I did the welding for the huts for the Jorvik Viking museum in York. York was also known as Ebocarum by the Romans who built a wall around it. Hope this might be of interest

Coming from Stamford Bridge in North Yorkshire where we kicked Vikings out of the North its legend. The irony was that Harold mustered another army to fight off the superb army of William the Conqueror of Normandy. Got beaten by them. Here is the irony they were Viking settlers in the North of France. All the best
