I love all the other content but man coming back to an Accord on this channel is just magical. I can’t put my finger on it just something just feels being at home in the Euros
3 years ago I purchased my manual cu2 accord because of your channel and i bloody love it. i have done 70000km of pretty hard driving and have had zero issues. I know your not a fan of the handling because of the steering feel but ive just spent $1600 Upgrading to Hardrace rubber bushings and its completely changed the feel of the car. not as good as a cl9 but its a lot better than stock.
Honestly so happy with this video. Nice to see another accord. I loved you accord videos so much I went and bought one recently. If you ever wanted to do a video of a Wagon type S let me know. Best car i have ever owned :D
I bought 1 for 1k aud. It was rough & needed a starter motor, tyres & a tidy up. I enjoyed driving it. Even though it was sports shift auto. My son learned to drive in it. Then, he bought a manual pfl one. We took the motor for a kswap. Put the good parts on the pfl manual. DEFINITELY recommend these for daily duties. It was similar to my old hbd vy calais. Just more refined ✌️😎
You should get a new set of license plates to go with the shiny new bumpers and panels. It only costs about $20 to replace damaged plates with the same rego number.
Awesome job, really impressed with how it cleaned up. A friends dad used to get these as company cars. Can attest to their build quality, and fantastic heated seats
100%. Years ago now, another friend got rid of his old manual accord euro that needed work and went out and bought a brand new Golf R.. And gave the Euro away for peanuts. These cars clean up so nicely and have so much life left in them.
*_Hmmm, maybe in NZ but I can assure you when our FL5 HEV was released in Oz there was a very long wait (9-12mths)…perhaps for different reasons_* …. _COOL REVIEW, LOVE THE RESTORATION VIDEO’s_
That’s fair actually a lot of new Hondas have had big wait times, but not coz they have like 1000 deposits upon launch haha. Mainly coz Australia is a small market so you only get like 50 every 3 months lol
😂 You got yourself. a good cheap reliable car and you have the money to fix it. That's a easy fix for you. I haven't been watching your channel ever since you started. buying these German cars glad to see you got back another Honda.
Just Bought a really good condition CU2 EuroS accord From Auckland- Driving it Home To Welly I got it down to 6.4L p100km and kept it there for a solid hour/ hour anda half- was 7.1L when we got home and parked in the driveway. Amazing mileage.
@KiwiCarLife It just takes off the oxidized yellow plastic, for more permanent you need to add clear coat or ppf. But that's not for you to worry about in a car restoration for flipping 😂
Man, I'm having to sell my Accord Euro, and this video only makes it harder. Unfortunately, I can't afford to run two cars, and bought a Toyota MR-S a month and a half ago. The Accord is objectively the better car, at least for a daily, but the MR-S is a whole other league in terms of fun (not like that's a shock lol).
Sad times, although an MR-S is a super fun car. Funnily enough I actually did a comparison video between those two: th-cam.com/video/cTorJHeuTrU/w-d-xo.html
@@KiwiCarLife It is. The MR-S is my first manual, and first sports car of any kind, and I've absolutely fallen in love with it. I also don't need practicality at this stage, so figured now is the time to get a car like it. I'll miss my Accord like crazy though. Beautifully specced, and while it's not too sporty, being the L, it drives beautifully and is awesome for long trips. When the time comes that I need a more practical car again, another Accord Euro will be at the top of my list. I missed that video, I'll have to give it a watch! Only the 1ZZ in my MR-S at this stage, but if I get to keep it when it won't work as a daily anymore, a 2ZZ swap might be on the cards. That or strengthen the 1ZZ and turbo it.
Hey Liam, that transformation is insane. Can't believe it. In terms of fuel consumption, I reckon you must have become more law abiding because I would only get 20mpg on the open road best case if I was in that. I get quite a bit less in my fleet. Has your mobile changed, or are you just getting lazy? Sent you a text about a Corolla GT near us a while back that looks like it's just begging to have a note left under the windscreen ... never know your luck, and also an IS500 that flew past me in Wellington, but you didn't reply(?).
I'd like to think on road trips I've always been law abiding! I just cruise the state highways these days. No need to rush. It's only when filming videos that I give it a bit of beans. Sent you a text with my new number. IS500 is lovely!
Here in Australia, three years ago i bought a 2006 CL9 Luxury auto off a 95yo man with 69,000kms on it. What a fantastic daily. Only mod i’ve done was the Chongdata tune. So much more driveable now, and revs to 7,800 in tiptronic - with a lower vtec crossover as well. I totally get the appeal of these cars. Only problem I’ve had is with the central locking. The actuators keep failing… and then the fuse blew. Very annoying!! Other than that, I love it for what it is. And you actually helped inspire me to buy it!!
I’m on a sp25 mazda 3 2010 manual and I’ve hit 220ks on it and was wondering if I should move to an accord from it specifically an euro While I love the Mazda I think its time to try something new now What do you guys think?
@ thanks for getting back, I’m here in Australia however and prices might be a lil different, I don’t mind an older one though but was curious about the reliability of it since I drive a lot and sometimes also do Uber
got my first car i bought with my own money which was a 2006 CL9 mid last year for $5kAUD, absolutely love it, but the paint is scuffed. curious how much you spent over in NZ for the bumper
@@KiwiCarLife I had her over 5 years. And I watching you when you restoring silver CL9..I do many mods on car, brakes suspension...I wish you a luck with new car,and you will love AT ;)
my accord euro has this issue on when i lift off accelerator and it happens everytime ,my rpms drop down below 1 thousand rpm then back up again,do u know anything about that?
I´ve had my Type-S for the last 6 years as my daily. It´s unfortunately starting to rust and the gearbox/clutch is in a bad state. It´s not gonna stay much longer. But it´s the best car I´ve had during my 18 years with a license. Next car will probably be a S212 Mercedes. (E-class wagon). Would be great to see more Mercedes on this channel.
Hooray! Cheap car restoration video. The best type of video you do.
Yip been needing a good resto vid for a while now .
Thanks man yeah sorry went on a bit of a hiatus while I was waiting for parts but they're back in business now!
When it's done properly, in my opinion it's the best type of car video FULL STOP
Honda Accord✅️
Restoration Video✅️
Gran Turismo Music✅️
Great Video.
Yessss

That was quick and easy, can't go wrong with an accord

Great to hear!Nice man! That's epic and yes those upgrades would have made a significant difference. Main issue is the EPS vs HPS in the CL9
Restoration vids are the best!
Thanks man!
Thank you Sir!!!!! The accord boss!
Yessss
2:44 oh man I would love to go on a road trip through NZ one day, those views are beautiful and almost remind me of driving in the Swiss Alps
Yeah man it's such a great place. If you come over I'll lend you a car

That's excellent that's even cheaper than I got this one!
@KiwiCarLife yeah. Yours is much tidier/a better colour/lower k's. Mine was red & PINK 😂
Lets hope a euro R comes up at auction lol. Awesome vid, love the transformation.Good job man!
Yeah man there's been a couple but they're so far gone it's not worth it sadly
Wow!, another great resto mate, well done!
Thanks man!
Really do like this type of video you do. Please do more.
Will do!
Giving the auto a bit of well deserved love 👍. A quick reflash just to bring that VTEC down and you've got a great daily. Cool vid.
Yesss, the owner who bought it just got it reflashed too haha
Very satisfying to watch the restoration, well done
Glad to hear!
Honda accord is the best car ever made hands down
Haha not ever made, but for the money I'd say so
bro never misses
Thanks!
What?! I was literally browsing for these YESTERDAY.
Haha already sold sorry! This one didn't hang around long
You should get a new set of license plates to go with the shiny new bumpers and panels. It only costs about $20 to replace damaged plates with the same rego number.
who cares lol
Yeah I was thinking about it, but they take like a week to arrive and I already had the car sold
Timeless design
Period
Yesss I agree they're beautiful cars
Awesome job, really impressed with how it cleaned up. A friends dad used to get these as company cars. Can attest to their build quality, and fantastic heated seats

You perfectly described the accord: a good 1st to 3rd car to grt you going then move onto faster cars
Exactly
good job the accord..i came across your videos😄when i was looking for info on the euro r's watched your channel ever since
Haha glad to hear!
And as always, perfect
Thanks!

They truly are a timeless design.
Yeah man lovely looking cars

Thanks
Man getting funky at 8:20😂
Classic haha
Got a 2004 accord in this exact color. It really need some love paint wise, so the video gives some motivation :D Also need 2 new lower control arms..
Nice!
Awsome semi-resto 👍
Thanks

Nice man! Wow that's impressive fuel economy!
You should try out some wet sanding on faded headlights before you hit the polish, increasingly fine grits. Does wonders
Yeah I know that's a great way to get them to come up more permanently
@KiwiCarLife It just takes off the oxidized yellow plastic, for more permanent you need to add clear coat or ppf. But that's not for you to worry about in a car restoration for flipping 😂
You should do a video with an Accord V6, so you can compare and contrast it with the Accord Euro. That would be interesting.
Already have!

I want to get a accord I just need to wait for a good one to go on for sale 😁
One will come up I'm sure!
Hopefully
Another Accord on the channel, yeaaah boii!

Ooh yes I would be keen send me an email: kiwicarlife@icloud.com
holy crap, its been almost 2 years since you've owned a euro r, damn its been awhile

All good!
got my first car i bought with my own money which was a 2006 CL9 mid last year for $5kAUD, absolutely love it, but the paint is scuffed. curious how much you spent over in NZ for the bumper
Nice man! All the panels were around $80 each except the front bumper which was $120 + painting
Can you please restore Mercedes Benz next?

What is better rx8,accord or bmw130 i for rod trips?
130i and Accord are a lot nicer, and more reliable haha. RX8 is only cool if you're prepared to deal with it's temperamentalness
Mate pick one! Accord or bmw? Lol..
Yesssssssssss 🎉
Yessss
Any plans for this cl9 or just restoration?
Just resto, it's already sold!

Here is South Africa we call them Accords , I die a little inside every time some one calls them "EURO's" 🤢🤮
Well I regret to inform that this is very much an Accord Euro. Developed specifically for the european market, vs the US market V6

If I can find one I will
