I don’t live on base but I have a bunch of friends who do and I think they mostly like it but I know it depends on where you live. If there are more people in your family, you would most likely get a townhouse and couples or small families usually get apartments I believe. But there are a lot of places you could up so I’m not sure😅 My friend Maddy has a Kadena apartment tour on her channel “Maddy and Gabe” that you can check out☺️ Let me know if you have any more questions!
Oh my goodness you had me laughing out loud with the whole shopping and zooming in on the foods you chose, then your process of eating the chicken, and then your look at the pizza roll after you tasted it. 😂. You have great patience. I can’t ever wait till I get home to eat my chicken. Those tasty filets are fine before I leave the parking lot!
Do you have any tips on when you first moved there and what you do to get your sleep schedule good because I’m moving there in 4 months and I’m very nervous
So I moved from Yokota to Okinawa so I was already on the Japan sleep schedule😅 But, I I wouldn’t worry about it! You may be tired for the first few days but I would just have coffee to stay up and melatonin on hand so you sleep on the right schedule! The only time I struggle to sleep is when Aiden is TDY and I just prioritize staying busy on those days so I tire myself out lol. Let me know if you have anymore questions!
I personally love it here! I think the key is staying busy, exploring, and finding things you love. It really helps that I am a student and I have a part time job + TH-cam (recently) that all keep me super busy and social. There is also so many travel opportunities! We just got back from Taiwan and we are going to a Korea in two weeks! It’s not all perfect but I just try to romanticize it as much as possible and it keeps my husband and I satisfied😊 My most recent video shows more of a normal day living here so if you want to check it out, you can get an idea of daily life here as a military spouse🙂I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions at all! & thank you for the comment🫶🏻
What is his afsc I’m going in as client systems but I’m trying to do research for my wife to see how best to take care of her when we get there. Was is tdy as well…
Do you live on base?? We’re moving there in January and I was curious what the base housing is like.

Hello I have a question as a husband considering joining the marines with the possibility to be moved to Japan, how is it in you as a wife ?
