Since Okinawa is close to Kyusyu and shares the same distribution channel with Kyusyu where the finest porcelain manufacturers gather since 15th century, even supermarket like San-A sells high quality Chawan and dishes at affordable price. (around JPY500 to 800) This is a similar story that most taxis in Germany are Mercedes. (German thinks this is just a taxi, while others say "Wow!".)
Hi! I’m PCSing there in June for the next 3 years and your videos have help ease some nerves. Please make a video on the weather there and what to wear. And any tips you think would help!!
I’m so happy you are enjoying the videos🥹❤️ I don’t have any specific videos on the weather but I will say in the summer it gets hot and we have a pretty gnarly rainy season so I tend to cycle the same shorts and neutral body suits because I would just sweat through my clothes LOL. I love a little sun dress in the summer time too because it is breathable! It really doesn’t cool off until the end of October and it can get kind of cold December-February. But it’s an island so the weather is inconsistent. Layers with be your best friend in the colder months and breathable clothes will be your best friend in the heat! But you will find what’s comfortable for you when you get here🙂 It can be difficult to find clothes here because of Japanese sizing so I recommend shopping before you get here but most stores ship within 2 weeks to island so you can always order when you get to Oki. I hope this helps!
Hi, would you share how you bring your cats to Japan if you don't mind, did you fly with them on the airplane, like they sat under your chairs on the plane ? Or in cargo ? The process when you land in Japan for the cats... anything of that would really appreciated !!!
Thank you for the comment! I wish I could share more but we actually adopted them in Okinawa so I haven’t flown with them yet😅 However, I will be flying with them back to the states soon and I will be documenting it so be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it☺️🫶🏻
