I lived in Kodiak with a Christian group working in a cannery called B and B, early 1970s. One evening we all went out to Fort Abercromie. I think the sun set about 11 pm. It was gorgeous. The girls collected those big shelf fungus from the trees to do woodburning art on. I skipped down a clifftop trail to tide pools singing "The hills are alive with the sound of music."
home! how many times have my family and I walked this trail with friends and also, as a bonus, we'd pick salmonberries along the way during the right time of year. how fortunate you are Paul, to be able to live and work in the most beautiful place in Alaska! I sure do miss home! say hello to "Mema" from Mary Abalos Brown Newton!
