    Two things that are extremely important to do frequently are to check your spark arrestor to make sure it is not becoming plugged up with soot and to also grease your clutch drum bearing daily. On most of my Husqvarna powersaws there is a bearing grease orfice in the end of the crankshaft. give it a couple pumps of grease with your bar tip grease gun. These two things will keep your Lady running at optimal capacity. Good job Lumber Lady.

    I like to clean the bar rails while I've got it apart , with a scraper not just compressed air , also oil the nose sprocket and I like to oil the rail before reassembly .
    It's worth mentioning that the bar should be flipped regularly which most people do , however I have seen comments on other channels like "you put the bar on upside down" because the painted name was upside down .
    Lastly , I'd invest in some nitrile mechanics gloves , they're thin so you retain feel , quite tough and oil and fuel resistant . Also cheap , I pay about $12 aud ( 55 dkk ) for a box of 100 .

    Very thorough service video, it makes me feel comfortable servicing my chainsaw now.
    Before watching your video I got into trouble; something you avoided instinctively, at around 26 seconds from the beginning of the video, but did not make emphasis on the importance of that step. The safety paddle has to be pulled back into the "running mode" before removing the clutch/bar cover. Perhaps you can add it later, if you happen to do another video. I push the paddle and left the brake engaged (safe mode) before I attempted to remove the cover. I ended up prying the cover off and when I tried to put it back together it was impossible with the "brake on". After an hour of messing with it, and by luck without breaking anything, I got the paddle to engage the small brake lever and release the brake. Smooth after that. I hope this helps someone like me, that did not read the manual. :)

    Wow you're good you remind me of my grandmother she was the Norwegian Swede from Bergen meticulous at everything she done at the age of 3 I can remember her using an axe in cutting trees with Crosscut saws I think that's where I get it from. Some people are just born old souls and they don't know it until they have Deja vu's or their natural at everything they do including like quantum physics and stuff like that when your grandmother teaches you physics and how to cut down a tree before your 5 yeah that's a pretty special woman and a very long life she was 97 when she died and that was a 1973 I think I'm old but I'm not I think I'm going to build a collection of baseball cards but instead of baseball arborist collection with specifications of each arborist not including equipment and not just knowledge. Innovation in problem solving. You field-stripped a chainsaw but you live in Denmark I live in Flint Michigan I ain't scared to say it it's a broke down industrial town 60 miles north of Detroit during World War II though we were producing a hundred thousand tanks a year over a million rounds of ammunition a day so there's basically enough ammunition to have world war for 99years but trees won't last that long if we don't start planting more then what we cut. Really sorry about my penmanship end punctuation but I'm speaking into a smartphone that isn't very smart. But anyway make a long story short I rescued 30 oak trees from the river bank that was going to be washed away by flooding I moved them that's cool because some of the old oak here some old growth along the river could reach 400 years old and it's amazing they're in such good health I try not to cut everything. I try to make it a four-man team with full Communications including your ground boss that is not me I'm just a climber. Rigger groundsman I'm nothing special I'm just a normal everyday average guy trying to prove a point it takes teamwork for the whole planet it's not just me competition socks why compete with nature the mother has been here since day one here I am 55 years later any tree that I cut that's bigger than me or even smaller than me could have its way with me and kill me dead but I've learned to respect the mother tree the Tree of Life and that's pretty cool because I'm Swedish Norwegian French in Apache Indian that's weird I'm still talking into a a smartphone sorry about the book but you're doing a great job keep it up your treeple. From Flint Town. Michigan

    Hello Felixia, I'm new to your channel. It's a real chain saw cleaning! On the starter side, cleaning is often neglected, and yet it is important for good engine cooling. I am an amateur lumberjack and I already work at a Husqvarna dealership. I don't know if you are interested in old saw models? If so I suggest you try a Husqvarna 254 xp. You will be charmed :) by the simplicity of the machine. I like your videos. Good continuity and thank you!

    Nice video, can you do some more videos of maintenance and chain sharpening please 💕
    When it's an "Auto-tune" carb,,- what do you do if the spark plug is too light or too dark?
    Thankyou very much indeed 😁

    • @fabzacres-blackcat
      @fabzacres-blackcat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is a reset procedure online ... try not to run the saw out of fuel as the auto tune may recognize / store it as a lean condition ... you should get a nice chocolate-tan color on the plug and piston - also check for air leaks around filter (greasing the lip is not a bad idea) and intake tract .... or you could just buy a STIHL 😊

      @@fabzacres-blackcat thankyou very much indeed.
      I didn't have much cash when my two Stihl chainsaws and dealers where giving me constant trouble and expenses.
      I nearly had fist fights with the 3 Stihl dealers in my area as I cannot even trust them to fix a child's bicycle and not rob me.
      So I went straight to a Husqvarna dealer and bought myself two brand new Husqvarna chainsaws on offer for the price of a single Stihl chainsaw
      I got myself a 545 and a 435t.
      My two Stihl 's I put at the very back of my warehouse and forgot about them as My two Husqvarna work very well and the Husqvarna chains don't need sharpening so many times compared to the Stihl chains.
      I have 7 chainsaws in all now

    • @fabzacres-blackcat
      @fabzacres-blackcat 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your welcome sir ! I know what you mean about some dealers ... I gave up on the “chain-sharpening service” long time ago ... these idiots were grinding away 1/2 the tooth ! I sharpen by hand and also have robot-grinder to “true” them up after hand filing a few times ... A person can get about 30-40 sharpening per chain IF they stop cutting as soon as the edge begins to dull a whisker

    • @BrendonHoppy
      @BrendonHoppy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fabzacres-blackcat I really appreciate your advice on not letting the Auto-tune run out of fuel, that makes sense.
      As for chain sharpening,, I have had very bad experiences with having my chains sharpened,, I have a feeling that some places,- overheat the tooth tips on purpose with the grinding machine,- so they lose all their hardened steel strength, so you need 5/6 chain sharpening/ changes per day 😢
      Also the Stihl dealerships in my area made my chains too dangerous and jumpy whilst cutting wood and I spent four months recovery from a 'chainbite' on my left ankle ( could have killed me)
      I have watched hours upon hours of chain sharpening videos and I have tried different methods but it's still interesting to see more ways of doing it ourselves instead of having to drive a long way to beg someone else to do it for us without having to wait a week to get them back badly sharpened 😁
      The Husqvarna tends to go rust very very quickly under/ inside the bolted chain cover and brake assembly.
      If you cut a live palm tree or a yuka tree,, you have to clean the Husqvarna immediately or it will go rusty which I never had that problem with the Stihls,, I never had to bother cleaning them 😁😁😁
      What kind of work do you do with chainsaws? You obviously know a lot about the machinery

    How do you like your 550XPG? Do the heated handles work nicely? I have the older 350 made in 2005. Not a pro saw but great saw "none the less". I love Husqvarna, they're my "go to" saw. I also have the smaller 340 that was made in 2004. I keep them very clean, clean them after each use. These saws are great for liming and bucking firewood. I'm subscribing to your channel. I like a woman's prospective on things. Though I'm not a professional, I'm an avid chainsaw user and enthusiast. I do like all saws, I'm not one for bashing. Sthil is a great saw too but I think Husqvarna and Echo are more competitively priced and Echo saws are too underrated. Thank you so much and god bless.

    Does husqvarana have anything to do with the name of the Bulgarian city of Varna ?! 😃 Which one do you prefer Husqvarna or Shtil?

      Actually, no: The saw brand is named after the Swedish city of Huskvarna (formerly spelled Husqvarna) in the southern Swedish province of Småland The world famous company - that is now called Husqvarna AB - got it's start making muskets for both the Swedish and Norwegian armies (1680-1757); but the company later changed gears entirely and started producing first class sewing machines and bicycles. (The name Husqvarna, incidentally, originates from the words "Hus" (meaning "house") and "qvarn" or "kvarn" (meaning "mill" or "grinder," such as those used to grind grains into flour); put together they mean "the building that housed the grain grinder" that was located near the old musket armory). They produced their first motorcycles(racing along at 4-5 mph!) in 1903, their first lawnmowers in 1919, and their first chainsaws in 1959. As late as 2013, they started designing and manufacturing their own chainsaw chains. In 2019, Husqvarna celebrated 330 years of innovation and manufacturing excellence... including 60 years of top-flight chainsaw manufacture. In conclusion, one last fun fact: Husqvarna owns and produces the chainsaw brand "Jonsered."
